Nascar does race on a few road courses. You outta look up "NASCAR top 5 road course finishes their very exiting to watch. I do wish nascar could race In Europe though that would be sweet to see them racing at spa and silverston and Valencia that would be badass to see
@David JR F1 has 0 competition 90% of the time the person who starts the race finishes the race first, it's always Red Bull Ferrari or Mercedes, how is that enjoyable? meanwhile on NASCAR they go 205-210 MPH on an oval track which may sound boring but fr, the battles the crashes the photo finishes and the crowd is just way better at NASCAR than at Formula 1, and also Nascars dont sound like vacuum cleaners lol, props to F1 though for the technology that's involved in that sport. But yeah i'd rather watch NASCAR than Formula 1.

Fun story - no green light in F1! Five red lights are lit in succession, when all five are lit, they are simply turned off and the race is on. F1 drivers are so quick that when they used green, people started when the red was turned off and before the green was lit so it was dropped!

It looks like a 2DS XL although this was recorded 7 years ago so it could be just a regular 3DS XL. They have pretty crap cameras and the Mic would have got it's ear drums raped but hey, if that guy still has that 3DS, that's a pretty awesome memory to own.
I saw the shake down of the brand new AMG GT3 cars at the Slovak ring last year, weren't supposed to be there but some how were let in. As we were approaching the track you could hear them full pelt down the main straight, said to the wife "that's an AMG that is". Absolutely unmistakable sound. Amazing experience to be the ONLY ones in the grand stand watching them test their cars, even the pit crew were surprised we were there haha Obviously not a patch on the cars above, but impressive none the less.

@zachogdahl210 absolutely love experiencing things like that. Have only experienced it a handful of times. Once with a road car wrx sti that was rally spec tuned. Was sat in a caravan at the time and as it rolled past it shook the whole caravan another time was probably about 12 years ago or so, Aston Martin in cardiff was loading their DBR9 (I'm assuming the same one that was on top gear at the time) onto the back of a lorry. I was on a bus that stopped right opposite it, and even though it was just barely over tick over it caused most of the people on the bus to put their hands to their ears. Incredible feeling they were. Wish I could experience this more
What always impressed me with the V8 races was just how damned fast the medical car was. It followed the pack around absolutely flat out, and would get to the pit lane when the cars were about halfway through the next lap. That may sound slow, but it is **ridiculously** fast for a "normal" car with a set of lights on the roof, two people, and about 100 lbs of medical gear on board!

There's only four man made objects which puts a shiver through your bones which you physically feel the power of. 1) F1 pre-hybrid motor days. 2) NASA rocket launch. 3) Fighter jet demo with full afterburners. 4) Top Fuel dragsters.
Got to see them at Albert Park many time and the v8s and its a sound and feeling you can describe you can feel it in you chest and your ears are lingling
I got to experience the V10 era and all I got to say is you absolutely did miss out on seeing them….. yep you sure should of gone to see them….. I will never forget what I experienced

Awesome that before lining up the drivers give just a little bit of a show with engine rev for the fans. Super cool. Racing is a sport for sure, but is also for entertainment, which the drivers take to heart. Edit: probably just warming up the engine and tires, but seems like a show lol
agreed... as a fan for 25 years who watched 90% of races, this year, ive watched none..the cars are ugly and sound terrible..... bring back wide cars, with v10's and 950hp, get rid of drs and all the stupid WWE gimmicks, and ill be back in a flash... for now, i watch indycar and nascar (i encourage any open wheel fan to watch indycar... its truely great racing)

It's a real tragedy that these engines are no longer in use. The almost deafening, screaming of the F1's was what people came to hear. There was nothing like it... Watch a race start at the same track from 2022, it doesn't even compare. I will always be an F1 fan, but I do miss the noise. 😢
It really pales in comparison. My first race in ‘17 I was a little shocked how low they sound, the Porsche Cup cars were louder. I got to hear the F1 two seater with a V8 that I’m sure was tuned waaay down. Omg that was glorious.
i just miss the loud naturally aspirated engines of f1 even the ones in the 70's and 60's sounded fantastic. Turbo's are only good when they aren't regulated
