Every single week I look forward to your podcast. Devin, you clearly have the gift of encouragement and are so faithful to remind us where our hope truly lies. Sherry, thank you so much for sharing that story. Wow! Devin truly has the best friends (even those she hasn’t met yet). I can’t wait to meet so many of you at the retreat.

What a lovely story from Sherry! Sherry mentioned that the man didn’t say much about himself. I think this is often true of people who have accomplished a lot. I’m thinking of someone I knew years ago, also very accomplished, who was very humble. This man didn’t feel like he had to toot his own horn, so to speak, and he obviously cared about helping others. Dovetailed nicely with our sermon this morning on Philippians 2, humble like Christ and looking out for others.

I know I could never write like she does. What a beautiful story. It’s a story that makes you feel really good and you just never know, just keep doing what makes you feel good God will do the rest.

Sherry is a great writer and her story was just the best! So interesting how life brings you down many unexpected roads. I was totally lost with the mathematics involved with changing gauge. I’m really mathematically challenged. You’re so fortunate to have such a good helper in Gigi, she is a treasure. Thank you for another great podcast. I hope your family has not succumbed to starvation😂

Well, I needed to hear this podcast last week! I am currently sitting in the back seat as my son drives our family home from Cape Cod. I debated knitting MY self striping fair isle socks on the beach! I opted to sleep/ relax to the sound of the crashing waves and the song of the seagulls. I did knit each evening and finished sock #1 while listening to you. Next year I will be knitting on the beach, possibly with a small relaxing break to listen to the sounds of the ocean.

I have to apologize Devin because my eyes glaze over with math. I need to go into a quiet room with that equation. I almost lost my mind when I took statistics for my degree 🙄 so glad I took it since I’ve needed it zero times in my life since. 🤣
Wow! What a story Sheri! Just goes to show how much the our actions are being observed. I take my knitting to the beach and I always get looks and maybe one day I’ll have a story to share as interesting as Sheri’s.

Hi Devin, love your beautiful top!
I was traveling to the beach on the 8th so I was knitting in public on the way!😃🧶🏖
Gigi's baby sweater is awesome! My grandson at six told me his first car is going to be a Corvette!😅
    Loved Sherry's story!!

Everyone is a mathematician and your math is just as great as exact calculations. You call it "the artist" but it's estimation and that is a wonderful form of math as well (also math is artistic too). With love from a PhD in math ed :)

Any chance we can extend the KAL for the top through the summer? LOL. I just wound mine up, haha! If not no worries, will send pics when done. We'll have to bring our tops to the Retreat in January since it's Texas. My husband agrees with Gigi, no one likes baseball, everyone likes Ferraris, haha! That story is incredible. Wow. ~ 😀 All the best, Kimberly

Regarding correcting your stitch count if less than what the pattern calls for: for me if my count is less, I have dropped a stitch somewhere ARRGH! I try to verify my stitch count frequently so I can fix the problem. I have found a long “run” in my project at times that is too difficult to fix especially when there are increases or decreases. The project goes in “time out” until I have the patience to fix it. 😩 or just “frog it”. 🐸
