I'm a cosmetologist who specializes in nails and I'm looking to get into podiatry school and I've been researching for 2 years now and I think it's time to pull the trigger and start my pre-requisites
Do it! We highly encourage anyone to look into the podiatric field! Especially with your expertise it should be a nice transition! Let us know if you have any further questions!😀
@@erinnorwood6124 In what sense? Podiatrists often have medical assistants at their offices and nurses to help at hospitals. Is that what you are referring to?
I went to a podiatrist/ortho the other week and she was so nice 🥺 kinda quiet lol but maybe next time I go we’ll talk more, I was kind of shy last time as well. I was STRESSED bc the office is a bit over an hour away and I had to go in rush hour that time lol. I’m going for a follow up with her on Tuesday morning! She was also awesome bc she just sat with me for a few mins :) I wasn’t upset or anything but it was nice having her there! I’m feeling a little better, I had a MRI done yesterday so we’ll see how that turned out 🤗
Subjectively speaking, if we’re only considering the debt that is accrued for podiatry by itself and dental school by itself, it depends only on what you actually want. I would focus more on the path you are interested in. From there, figure out how to navigate paying off the debt. There are always going to be patients in need of both dentistry and podiatry!
@@TheDPMJourney I know someone who got by the dissections lab by letting other guys to do it. This person can’t even slice a chicken, let alone dissect tissues or cut bones. Will this person survive residency? Can’t read X-ray either..
@@JO-mg6xc We apologize for taking so long to respond, intern year of residency was busy, so we lost track of comments. Most of that physical work and skills you learn/refine during residency itself. As far X-Ray reads, once 4th year of school hits and the student is required to rotate through externships, they have to learn how to read X-rays and are guided along the way. Medical education is all about asking for help and learning along the way when there are areas to improve on, and there are plenty of opportunities for that.
Awesome video, very informative and inspiring!
Thank you for your praise!

Do any podiatrists need nurses?

Thank you for sharing about your wonderful experience! May you have a smooth recovery 💕
@@TheDPMJourney thank you!! I broke my foot so it’s been taking a while but I feel like I am getting a little better
Thank you for this video!! Super helpful
We’re grateful to hear that! We have more of these coming, but residency has definitely made posting schedules tough 😅
Thanks so much.
My daughter is watching these to get motivated to attend
Now this is the exact kind of thing that motivates us to make more videos. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you
I’m scared to get into debt for podiatry school. Is it worth it financially? Vs dental school

What happens if you don’t have manual dexterity?
What exactly do you mean by this if you don't mind us asking
