That Worlds was awesome. Still wonder how different it would have been if there were race radios. I gotta think if Pog, Mads, an Wout knew VDP fell, and had a broken shoe, when he had a 30s gap, they'd have caught him. that Bahrain crash was 2 years ago at De Ronde of all places, and not onyl did he pay a fine, he was DQ'd and pulled out of the race for doing that.
@@victorknubben5515 i did. and he was empty, but i still don't totally buy that he Wout and Mads couldn't work and find something to catch or close. Work to at least keep VDP in sight, and you never know when that happens.
@@mstrasser on a flat, arrow strait road you are probably right, that would be strange. But after 250km and such a hard race, on a super technical parcours like that mvdp is miles ahead of everyone else, so I don't think it's that strange
@@victorknubben5515 it's all theorizing and yeah the race was hard AF, but, he had a 30s gap and crashed. if that was bridged to within sight at that moment and if here were radios you bet that would have been shouted to the chasers, then it's an entirely different race. and yes all were drained. but 1 was racing for first, and 3 were racing for 2nd and they gave up the chase. if they knew what was ahead hey wouldn't have given up
We've all crashed, and a lot of us have crashed in races. I'm sure this is great for views, but as someone that has gone down hard, this sucks to watch.
I had my first crash in years last week. I was watching the road ahead and hit a cinderblock sized block of ice. I was on my back before I knew I had hit anything. At least with winter riding I have so many layers on the my injuries were minor.
Yea, there was a rider in site, you can see his feet to right of the screen. Don't need to be crit racing. Three of us were just doing some training for the Police Unity Tour this year a few weeks back, when a truck cut us off doing a U turn right in front of us, the guy behind me ran into me, went down, and broke his collar bone in five places.
The guy at the Legion crit in Sct Petersburg didn't clip a pedal. It was obviously a flat that made his backwheel jump totally out of control. Look at the first clip where the other riders pass him, there's tubeless sealant everywhere on the rim, and the tyre is gone. Hookless maybe... (which should be made illegal).
you and others have made this incorrect assumption. flats don't make your back wheel jump out of control, clipped pedals do. Then it's typical that the tire rolls off the rim, which is why you can see sealant near the end.
more explanation of the situation and advice based on experience rather than live reactions and this video could be much better, but still good to see that you are trying out new things
If youre on a race you should be open minded on these things. Every sport has this type of unsafe features so its up to you if you still want to continue

no chance they would have got mvdp. Have you seen the post race intervieuw with pog? never seen him that empty

Like this type of content? I could listen to the two of you commentate an entire grand tour!
When your s works broke in half did specialized give you another bike?
The Ecuadorian Cepeda from EF won this stage of Tour de l'Ain. Michel Storer, Groupama- FDJ, won the 3rd stage and overall

same for me 4 weeks ago. came to realize that motorcycle riders have better gear protecting them from falls than us.

That Degenkolb crash is just soooo unfortunate

I remember the Van Der Poel crash. That was amazing.
Kept waiting the whole video to see Allez Opi Omi
The next massive crash was on Tour de Flanders 2023. The guy, Filip Maciejuk, got DSQ and suspended for 30 days
Was it Jay Vine crashing at the side of the team car, then re-catching the front group to end in third place? Epic
What headphones are those?

thankfully I've only had one of those "oh crap I'm going down" crashes. it's way better to just wonder - what happened? great video
More of this please 😊
This gives me the scaries
2:30: That reminds me of the Beloki crash in the Tour.
Thanks for the inspiration...again!! Going back to Harlem regardless!
That last one looked like a tank slapper
That broken sl7 gave me a heart attack
me too 🤦♂️ now it's mounted on my wall as as showpiece

noted. thank you!
Hard for me to re-watch your crash knowing how badly you were hurt.
I hope yall become the premier cycling reaction channel
5:55 did he get banned?
you should've done the one where Fabio Jakobsen lost half his face
I don't think The fdj rider won
i hate this video is doing well.
Man, that Bahrain rider... 🤦🏿♂️
Yeah!!! More!!!
I think the last guy’s tire just exploded (not a pedal strike)
wrong
More please
Would love to see some more of these reaction videos along with insight from your experience explaining the details of the scene. Thanks!
Noted!
The one who caused the crash and survived are the worst!!! 🤬
Like and comment for the algo im not watchin this tho😂
Crashew Van Der Poel 😂
Jeff I still think yours has the biggest cringe factor because THAT CURB coming at you... Makes the base of my spine tingle every time I watch it.
The FDJ guy tried to block the EF guy from passing. He should have been disqualified.
Keep the great videos coming!
Thanks for the CRINGE FACTOR - Sent you a short video from today's Alviso 3.5.24.
Did you have to have your collarbone pinned?

it's a big part of crit racing, like it or not. I think it's good to be aware of just how badly it can go wrong..!

Womp womp
This isn't why I follow this page. Agreed mate.
@@rockytalkndawoods3057 I mean, no hate to Jeff - I hope this video does well! I just don’t have the stomach for crash videos.
I mean it’s an educational video so I will watch
I hope you pop off from this in views but I do not care lol.
More more MORE! ❤💥🔥
This is why i'd never race. Just not worth it.

Please do not glamorize crashes. It causes people to think the sport is unsafe which is not good for the sport.

Your content has gone downhill so much in the past year. Just kinda generic clickbait. Hope you can get back in the swing of these.
what content would you like more of?

MVDP amazing but not best road cyclist. He is the best cross rider right now though.
Yeh the world champion isn’t that good 🤦♂️💀
NO! MvdP is NOT the best road cyclist. He is really good in gravel and flandern classics.
2nd after Pog
He is a 2023 world champion in road cycling btw.
Eh, a bit too GCN-ish
First!
