    Amazing review. I've just returned a Roborock E4 with mop. The thing would consistently stop. It could not get over an 0.5 inch bathroom doorway. My older cheaper iLife A4s would also get blocked there but it would eventually move and clean other parts of my apartment. I came across the 360 S7 Pro but was skeptical as I don't want to have to return another vac. Your video showing it climbing 18mm and 38mm, plus the fact that the mop with the small chamber (150ml) was good enough pushed me over the edge. Going to buy it! Also subscribing as your video really shows what people want to see. The performance without too much gabbling.

      Hi there, thank you so much :) I would say in terms of vacuuming those are more or less the same, the Roborock S6 and S6 MaxV are quieter tho. The 360 S7 is better for smaller homes with almost no hard floor areas or if you do not need mopping as much. The Roborock is better for bigger homes and also have a bit better navigation, the 360 S7 tends to bump into things harshly. For the price, the 360 S7 is okay, do not forget that the Roborock costs more. Tho now the S6 costs about the same as the 360 S7 so I would go for the Roborock.

      @@SmartRobotReviews You are VERY welcome. Imo your reviews are much better than Vacuum wars. Here is my situation. I have a 1400 sq ft house main floor is 500 ft is mid pile carpet with rugs amd 500 sq ft is laminate flooring. I have 2 more rooms on different floors each from 250 sq ft of mid pile carpet. Last a have a basement with concrete floor. I tried the RR E4 and navigation worked for me, battery was great but it did not clean capert well. Then I tired 360 S5 it got stuck on the rugs alot (E4 did not) cleaned really well, but battery did not last long enough. What robot vacuum models should I be looking at? RR, 6 or 6 pure 4 max, 5 max, 360, S9 ECOVAC Ozmo T series, Dreame, Roomba I series, some other brand? Most important is:
      1) a vacuum I can set up a schedule and let it go to work and not have to baby sit it..(not getting stuck)
      1a) Cleans, when its done the carpets are clean
      2) I Can take it to the different rooms on the different floor without having to bring the base. (ECOVAC support tells me each time I move the vacuum I have to bring the base with me, I think maybe the support team done not know their own product which is a concern)
      3) Reliable support Lidar has a 1500 hour life before it needs to be serviced, so a company who can provide support.. I hear this is not a strong suit for CN companies... Many do not seem to have really thought about the service aspect of the business.
      3a) Easy/stable app
      4) mops, I will mop the laminate once every 2 weeks and the basement every other month.
      Please let me know which vacuums I should be trying, I will/have been using your affiliate links to order them when I can find them.
      Thanks soo much!!

      @@ricke95126 For a place like yours I'd go with the S5 Max or the OZMO T5. I hear ECOVACS app is a bit glitchy but maybe it has been fixed since then. Those two are the best for the price if you need decent mopping and vacuuming performance. Don't know anything about ECOVACS customer service as I have never tested any of these but do know that Roborock is one of the best in this area.

    Hello and thanks for your review.
    Im trying to decide what to buy, my options are:
    Viomi SE, 360 S7, Roborock S5 Max and Proscenic 850T: what would you suggest? My home is not that big and it's mostly hard floor and I mop like every two weeks. I would either get the Roborock or 360 S7. The Roborock has better mopping but overall quality and price of the S7 makes it a good value. I have used the 360 S6 for about two years and never had issues with the device. Especially if you don't have carpets and don't want to spend more for the S5 Max, the S7 is a good choice.

  • @kwm_01
    @kwm_01 2 года назад +1

    Why do they have those spinning brushes? I don't understand that design, it appears like it makes the job more difficult for the vacuum. Imagine if you have a raised bed and have a sand spill there, it will probably push a lot of that dirt under the bed and it wont be able to reach it if the bed is not high enough. In your test in which it is in a closed area, that setup saves the vacuum quite a bit of face but I think this will be more of a headache when you have spills on hard floors near raised furniture where the vacuum cannot get under. Will it throw the dirt a fair distance way?

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  2 года назад

      The main purpose of the side brush is to clean corners and along the walls. Without the side brush, it would leave ~10cm area near walls untouched. You are right, it pushes some dust and debris under my bed, but I don't care as soon as the dust under the bed is not visible. Once in a while, I can clean under the bed manually. I think robot vacuum manufacturers have no choice as they didn't invent a better way to clean along the walls so far.

      The S5 has the smallest battery and no mopping. In my 70 sq m apartment on max it hardly had enough power to finish cleaning on one charge.
      The S7 is similar but has a better battery life on max mode and also in addition can do mopping.
      The S9 is a whole different story with an electronic water tank, a large battery, better navigation, and a higher price tag.
      In terms of cleaning carpets, you wouldn't notice the difference between all on a daily basis. As a mop tho the S9 shines.
      The S5 is good for small homes with carpets and if you don't need mopping. The S7 is a better option for medium to bigger homes. The S9 is best overall model.

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 года назад

      I think the 360 S7 Pro has a bit weak battery for your house, it may not finish the job on one charge, at least on higher suction modes. In terms of cleaning performance, I think they are pretty similar. The Roborock probably is a bit smarter and has a bit more accurate navigation. It also receives updates more frequently. The Roborock S6 allows to clean a specific room by voice command (Alexa, Google Home), you can say something like "Roborock, clean the kitchen". The 360 S7 also supports Alexa, but only basic commands like stop, start, return to the dock.

It has a larger water tank an electronic water pump which is much more convenient in my opinion. I think you can find a deal for the same price as the S6. The 360 S7 Pro and Roborock S6 water tanks can be just too small to cover the area of your home without refilling the water tank. Considering that some space in your home is taken by furniture and other stuff, hard to predict the real cleaning area it should clean.

    Curious, in your testing can you throw in a dark / black floor / carpet segment? Some bots can do it, others cant. Would be helpful to know, yet hardly anyone tests =/
    Also, I noticed in your testing like on the stains, the bot covered the area twice in crisscross manner, and I think same in ur carpet tests ... is that adjustable or something? Ive not seen a bot effectively do all mid area work 2x .. like shown in your tests.

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 года назад +1

      It depends on the carpet. I've tested it on a black yoga mat and it works without any issues. Some dark carpets don't reflect enough light from infrared cliff sensors so the robot thinks it's on the edge of a cliff. Other carpets, even black ones, can reflect enough light to be detected by the cliff sensors. Without testing, it's hard to say which one black carpet will be problematic for the robot. I've seen some users claim that it works on their black carpet, others say that it doesn't, so hard to say without testing on a certain black carpet. Regarding the crisscross cleaning pattern, it's standard behavior for zoned cleaning when you specify a custom zone and choose to clean it twice. However, maybe something has changed lately, but that's how it worked when I tested it.

    • @RandoTark
      @RandoTark 3 года назад +1

      @@SmartRobotReviews ah ok, the zone test twice makes sense. i just picked up a deebot t5 and has dual zone, ill try it out n see if it crisscrosses too. regarding black carpet yeah that makes sense. ill just say ive had a neato vx21 for nearly 7 flawless years till recently trying to upgrade to something newer .. the t5 and im quite disappointed, t5 seems weaker(even on max+) even tho reviews say its crazy strong ... and it hates the dark spots on an area rug... vx21 has absolutely no issue with same rug. so idk if all modern robots are 'fake stronger and better' due to marketing or if the t5 has been severely misrepresented by reviewers :-\ im tempted to buy a 360 bot to compare .. but dont wanna be out that much money if both bots leave mich to be desired compared to vx21 :-\ ... any chance u have experience with deebot products compared to ur bots and could offer some insight?

      @SmartRobotReviews  3 года назад

      @@RandoTark Some robots, for example, any Roborock models, always cleaning in one direction (not crisscrosses). If the T5 had issues with your carpet, most likely, the 360 would have it too. I've heard the Neato robots have a bit more sensitive cliff sensors, and they usually don't have problems with black carpets. I've never used any Ecovacs models, but as far as I know, the T5 is a rebranded Deebot 950, which has a weaker suction (1500Pa) compared to the 360 S7 (2000Pa). Have no idea if the 360 S7 cleans better than your old Neato since I never tested any Neato models but have heard that they are pretty good at cleaning.

      The 360 S7 will fit under your furniture if there is at least 10 cm of clearance under it.

    Some robots get confused when the furniture (walls) are black. Might be the root cause for the confusion.

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  4 года назад +2

      Yeah, seems like you are right. The "walls" in my testing area are dark and Lidar can't properly scan the area since the black/dark surface doesn't reflect the laser beam from the Lidar.

    Awesome review style, I really enjoyed watching it.
    I have a lovely Beagle and I want to buy a smart robot; my main concern is its performance picking up dog hair. I would like a smart robot that can both mop and vacuum, but a lack of mop is not a deal breaker.
    Currently I’m torn between:
    - 360 S7 Pro Robot
    - xiaomi Mijia 1C
    - Eufy by Anker Aspiradora Robot Robovac 11s MAX
    -
    Xiaomi styj02ym
    I live in an apartment with no carpets.

      @SmartRobotReviews  3 года назад

      Hi there, it also depends on the size of your place. The S7 Pro is a really good one, and it's brush has detachable side tips that makes cleaning it easier. The MiJia 1C is also a good one but it has a smaller battery and on Max mode, it does not last long. The Xiaomi is a good mop but the brush is solid and can be a bit challenging to maintain. All in all, on a daily basis these three would be good although, the Lidar-guided robots are better for cluttered homes. The MiJia 1C is ideal for small apartments. I would go for the S7 Pro but the Xiaomi is a really good mop but vacuuming is where the S7 Pro shines. Does that help?

      No, I think the S9 is better. But it's also more expensive than the S7.

      @@SmartRobotReviews Okay! What about roborock s6? Its almost the same? Sorry for many questions hah

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 года назад +1

      I think the Roborock S6 is a more reliable device and probably is more accurate in terms of navigation. Roborock has a big community on Reddit and Facebook so you can find a lot of information about the product. Also, Roborock has better customer support. On the other hand, the 360 S9 has a better mopping feature, since the S9 water tank is bigger and has an electric water pump so water never leaks when the robot docked and you can adjust the water flow in the app. In other terms, they are very similar.

    Does it mop the corners also?

    • @SmartRobotReviews

      It leaves a small spot 5x5 cm in the corner untouched because of its round shape.

    some questions:
    1. How much area can it mop with 1 tank of water?
    2. How much area can the mop cover before it needs to be cleaned it self?
    3. I prefer google home devices. Is it there yet and how good is it?
    4. Any issues you've experienced over the months of use and how good is the customer care (if you called them)?
    5. How is the battery life and charging time over months of use?
    6. While it is mopping, can it automatically detect carpets and not mop over them?

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 года назад +2

      1. I guess approximately 30-40 sq. meters.
      2. It depends on how much dust is on your floors. Usually, I wash the mopping cloth after each full mopping cycle.
      3. It supports Google Home, but only some basic commands like start, stop, and return to the charging dock.
      4. I don't use the 360 S7 on daily basis, I have other robot vacuums and this one is not my main device. However, before I owned the 360 S6 and used it 2-3 times per week for almost two years and didn't encounter any serious issues. Not sure about the customer service, I heard about some unhappy experience from other users.
      5. I didn't notice any significant battery degradation in my previous 360 S6 model, so I think the S7 should be very similar.
      6. No, it can't automatically detect carpets and mark them as no-go zones. You should do this manually via the app. It does have carpet recognition but it works only to boost the suction when it vacuuming.

    can you help me please? i want to buy 360 s7 or dreame d9 ? D9 price higher than s7 (50 usd) in my country. i will use 140 m2 in my house. i have not a pet. i have 1 child.

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 года назад +1

      The 360 S7 has a weaker battery than the Dreame D9 (3200 vs 5200 mAh), not sure if the S7 can cover your whole house on a single charge, especially on higher power modes. It depends on how much of your house space is taken by furniture. The Dreame should be able to clean the whole house without recharging even on higher power settings. Also, the D9 has an electronic water pump and a larger water tank. If you are planning to use the mopping function, the D9 would be a better choice. In terms of cleaning performance, navigation, and app features, they are very similar.
