shes an old warrior. dents and bumps comes with age. just keep it strong and road worthy.they look good that away.
Thank you!
Uh.. Not if you keep up on matiance and not treat it like total shit regardless if its a work truck
That's the quietest old Ford I've ever seen, even with the leaky exhaust.
Very nice save. I'm not a huge Ford guy, but these trucks always looked sharp! That one is definitely worth keeping.
I love those highboys. I spent many years using a 71 highboy brush buggy on the volunteer fire department back home. It was a 390 with Warn hubs with Dana's front and rear. The county Sheriff here Micky Owens bought it out of his own pocket and donated it to start a rural fire dept. He was famous for dropping a foul ball in the 1941 worlds series while playing for the St Louis Cardinals and losing the series. at 25 years old the truck only had 18,000 miles on it.
My brother had one of these. Same color and Motor . It was a Tank One of the only fords I liked. The old Truvks were good trucks. Up till 79. Good video. Thank You it brought back alot of good Memories
Shittttt the early to mid 80's ones were badass too!
Awesome truck, thanks for showing us!
I would daily that In a heartbeat
Hi from Mi. Nice old ford! It sure started up nice and easy. Ive always been a ford guy. It needs a little more "love". Shes a beauty. Super dependable. Daily go to truck. Get the flatty running! revved up yooper
Love them old Fords👍🏼
Yes!!! Please keep them coming
Pretty badass truck..
..awesome video
Love this channel
owned many bump side and dent side fords . oil pan has 2 sumps and a dip stick for each one. ford did a lot of odd stuff. love watching all the old truck stuff.
Reminds of myself growing up in Wisconsin. My dads place was full of cars, trucks, motorcycles, snow mobiles and chain saws. Learned to work on stuff there and spent 40 years as an airline aircraft mechanic . Learned all the skills with dad.
its how i started as well. always reminds of dad.
That steering wheel is pretty mint!
Good luck finding one of these today. They certainly don’t build them like they use to. Nice truck keep it don’t sell it.
Looks like the Ford 4x4 my dad bought new in '68 but his was a 1/2 ton.. Brings back memories.. I got my driver's license in that truck.....Mike in Louisiana
Great video and sweet old Ford not going to lie I wish it was mine
I hit the like button before I watch your videos brother always great stuff from your channel
This would sweet to watch a full restoration on.
In my opinion these 65-71 Ford's ARE THE BEST 4WDs. PERIOD.
The CCKs are great...but for a working man....i gottem too.bb
That trucks in pretty good shape! Very quiet too. I like the old steel wheels on it. Back when trucks were trucks; none of that fancy crap they have now. I even like the cracked windshield. Old trucks got character.
Pretty clean, especially for Alaska. Can’t find a 67-79 that clean for under 7k in Minnesota
Love your truck
I had one of those in 1979. Red and everything! Flatbed though (wooden)
Beautiful truck
She’s looking good brother
Those solar panels say a lot.
Candy Apple Red? LOL
That noise isn't an exhaust leak, it's the squirrels slapping their feet.
I love your truck just the way it is! I've got an identical one sitting in my field. Got it to restore but discovered it doesnt have a title.
1 year later, finally tracked down the title!!
Would you ever part it out?
@@sherwoodbaker2714 not now that I have the title. I've started working on restoring it.
Sweet old truck! Wish I still had my '72 F100. It was a 360/auto truck but unfortunately I rolled it on a gravel road coming home from my girlfriends house. Truck was toast but I ended up with the girl-best outcome of my life!
Who in their right mind would replace a 300 six with a 360FE?
Sweet truck my dad is looking for a ‘72 f250 4x4 to go with his 2wd version
theres tha old stud of the ranch. still demanding attention. and still geting it,, luck wit da handsome bruser,,
Complete lawlessness !! With all the traffic on that road you could have hit something like a Moose or Bear or skunk.
30 years of laying dormant and in its current condition, it still works to this day. Try doing that with pickup trucks of today!
Poor catalyst performance - check engine - reduced performance mode - A/C disabled - fuck you
@@honchoryanc Seriously? What kind of debil replies to a two year old posted comment? Get bent and find something more tasteful that can grind your gears, f**kwit.
Neat 0le truck....wish I had my first one back.......
What's it like starting on a really cold morning, especially when it's sat for quite a while? Will it start without choke?
Great video bya.
Nice truck 👍
A warm day with a new rubber for the glass and you can put new glass in ...glad to see someone still keeping the old iron going. Love the old army rigs... kinda wonder what you do for living and how things are going. Do you have a family or a dog.... some chickens to peck at the bugs or a garden?? just want to know an thanks
I have a 67 f250 and it used to take a little to start like yours did. Have you switched the starter ? Also thats a badass truck bro
I love this old truck
Thank you! More to come
Sweet truck
Hi from U.P. of Mi. I like watching your videos. Im waiting for more posts. I just wanted to say hello. Im wondering where in Alaska you live? Just wondering what its like up there, thats why i watch. Have a great day! revved up yooper
She runs smooth
I would LOVE that thing
Sweet!
Double dipsticks means the motor came from a car. But it has the truck oilpan on it. I believe the front one is block mounted and is original to the car, while the rear is mounted to the pan directly and is from a truck. They used different pans from cars to truck because of the difference in crossmembers. I know this because my Dad had a '78 f150 that had a swapped in 351 Cleveland and had the double dipsticks. Easier to leave the nonfunctional one in than plug the hole.
Exactly!
Nice truck
I just bought one just like it!
Just curious, (I know there's plenty of sights out there), but where do you get new lights and parts?
Nice truck sir
I like it!!
nice old truck
I’ve found plenty of rounds in old trucks and they are always .22s
That's a true Alaskan windshield!Does that have the granny low four speed?
I was thinking "I bet it starts right up", mine always does. Have a '73 and a '75 myself.
Awesome! This truck has improved a lot since this video. Need to make some current ones on it.
@@BackyardAlaskan please do. I'd love to see it now
@@fgialcgorge7392 Will do! If you have an Instagram look me up on there. I post about my rigs a lot so that's a good way to see.
@oldtrucks4life
@@BackyardAlaskan I'll jump on there to check em out! I never use it unless there's a reason, this qualifies.
Nice truck, you should put it in 1st gear and 4low on a trail just so I can hear the 1st gear whine.
Tractor mode.
i've had the same truck with 300 six best motor ford ever built
💯
Do you have power steering?
That’s exactly like my truck that I’m restoring!!!!!!
Mechanic King man 2.0 Awesome!
A .22....ill have to remember that!!!!😁😁😁😁😁
Sounds like dad's . Even the door opening and closing .
Awesome. Definitely neat how they all have the same sounds.
Bad ass truck.
Radio delete?
Thanks. Yep, factory radio delete.
That is a badass truck dude!!!! I have a 1972 just like it except mine is ford blue. I would like to sell it to someone who will restore it, if Antonella’s is interested please get in touch with me...
FYI the reason yours most likely has two dipsticks is because that 360 probably came out of a 2wd truck with a front sump oil pan and someone put on a rear sump (which happens to be hard as fuck to find)
god those trees remind me of tok lol hi from wasilla
Do you sell any parts?
Exhaust leak on a FE? What are the chances? LOL
I just sold my 1971 Ford 250 camper special 2 wheel drive.
How often do you see law enforcement up there? And if they pull you over do they typically ask you to have a cold one with them?
I don't live i Alaska but there are plenty of videos showing Cops looking for Guns on the Roads and taking it for tracing on their computers....ruclips.net/video/pjN1oETXaug/видео.html
@@bermudezhg Good video, good to know the law in each state, in PA we do not have to tell them but we cant lie to them if they ask. ruclips.net/video/sex7RlGdOfE/видео.html
Is this truck for sale?
i have a 75 highboy with a 360 4speed 1000 bucks in vermont not to rusty either
got to love them ford trucks sounds nice looks pretty damn good........LOL no respect for the law that was a good one
I would keep the original wheelrims and paint them in the body colour or even piant them in that argent silver , what the factory uses and iron out all the dings ,cut out any rust respray back turret and cab and keep it basically factory stock with a 5 speeu tko adapted to the motor or a worked over c6 or 8 with lock up converter and u will have a nice f series hiboy 4wd cruser wouldnt that be nice this truck will go for another 50 years well and truly after the new ford rangers go to the scrapyard . U just cant beat the good ol f series trucks they were built to last.
I would just keep it mechanically sound and leave the patina and little nicks and dents on it. It gives it a personality to a nice truck like that.
Two trucks together, Super Mario Bros.
I had a 72 4x4 , Worm and roller steering is a epic fail from TRW. Worst steering ever. I replaced the gearbox with a steering box from a Toyota landcruiser.
If you wash your cars with kerosene and water, you will rust proof them and you won't believe how clean and shiny they will become.
That column is out of a 72
There a Facebook page of ford f100
I just have a hard time believing somone could be so stupid as to use a live .22 shell for a fuse...😳
@Phillip Aubin Unless the wire got shorted. Ive pulled melting wires from underneath a dashboard once...
Well fuck I didn't think u had anything newer then 50s cool
U really need to get rid of that front dip stick. That is for a 2wd front sump oil pan so it is fairly long. Since u have the rear sump pan there isnt really anywere for the dip stick to go. If it gets into the crankshaft it can ruin your engine
Jesse Duke I am aware
I’d just cut it off a little shorter and forget about it lol
These old PU without damned electronics seem to be the thing to have for when the shit hits the fan (EMP attacks). Anything with a computer will be useless when the stores no longer are open and there are no parts....
What size of tires??
7.50 x 16s
Appreciate the Smokey and the Bandit reference!!
I`ll buy it im in England name a total price including export.
Rub er down with boiled linseed oil. No polisher needed
That grill tells me that is a 1972.
Craig Wood it’s got the correct chrome strip for a 71. The 72 did not have the horizontal chrome strip in the plastic insert.
72 only had 4 slots per side. 71 had 6
Need to junk that garbage Fram filter dude. Wix ( NAPA Gold ) same thing. is the tits!
Automatic and standard transmission 😂
Autostandard transmission
My f150 was like that for a bit, I swapped in a stick and it took me a few weeks to get around to taking the auto shifter out
@@Beandiptheredneck one of my trucks was like that lol
its and old truck thang some folks just dont understand
