I like how you changed aggron's bulky side without touching its offenses, so he could play the role he was designed to better instead of making him a generic mix attacker.
The Pokemon people once said something along the lines of, "A Pokemon's stats are part of a Pokemon's identity". if you change it's stats in weird ways, it's not the same pokemon by the end of it. I think changing types for SOME pokemon is a must, but most are fine.

Quick tip: avoid giving them signature moves and abilities of other Pokemon (glaive rush) while it has happened before I feel glaive rush doesn’t fit too well as there is no ice/glaive involved. I don’t think aggron’s tastebuds like pure earth
Aggron is in my top ten favorites of all-time. The design is top-tier but sadly isn’t as good as one would think in battle. The mega helped a little bit but still didn’t propel him to where I think he should’ve been.
Steel rock is kinda bad, but it gives aggron an identity. Tyrannitar also has a really bad typing but he is still good. I think the typing should be unchanged because of this. I really like earth eater and filter as possible abilities, as well as such a buffed Sp def stat.
Ttar at least only explodes when hit by fighting moves, aggron explodes to ground moves as well! Horrendous typing, no Pokemon can be good with such a typing, with a speed stat that low.

No, Rock is legitimately awful through and through, it's only marginally better than Ice defensively and is in the vast majority of instances a detriment to whatever Pokemon has it unless they are a very fast and strong attacker that can afford to have an abysmal defensive profile in exchange for a good STAB combo The best analogy for Steel/Rock would be trying to eat a pie made out of blueberries and fish guts, like there's something fundamentally wrong with the recipe

Though I'm a little bit shaky on the steel and ground part, know rock and steel are a bad typing but I rather aggron get a custom ability to weaken or straight up nullify those weaknesses, probably like more effective version of the soild rock ability to keep the typing. But this was a good video and rework of one of my favorite pokemon.
I think rock makes more sense than ground, even if it’s a terrible type mashup it lives in mountains the most rocky place on earth and it digs through caves. I think caves are more full of rocks than they are dirt.
Honestly for the typing I'd just go the mega route and make him a pure Steel. It fits it a lot, and could be justified as its diet comprised more iron and such so he purified all the rock in its body. Then you could also justify Filter again. We also lack steel monotypes (probably cause the typing is really strong).

i think a general buff would be nice. 600 BST is a LOT. i tried changing legendaries and mythicals to be 660 and even so i had too much stats. high stats are hard to distribute
Raise it's Speed to at least 100 (at the very least), cut down the Special Attack by some 15 points, and buff its bulk to the point where its not made out of paper, like at least +10 in HP and both defenses. Change Pressure which is pretty useless for Sharpness so attacks like Psycho Cut and Night Slash deal more damage. That's what I would do to buff it without changing it too much from its current state.
So, these are the changes I would have made turning aggron into a pseudo legendary. Thanks to the new impenetrable ability it maintains aggrons identity while improving its typing considerably turning the 4x weaknesses into 2x weaknesses. Its only other weakness being water is reduced from 2x to 1.5x damage. All that in addition to being immune to passive damage, and recoil from moves which include steel beam and head smash. Notably, the added special attack allows aggron to make good use of its amazing special move pool which is incredible which includes bolt beam coverage of all things. Name: Aggron Type: Steel/Rock Abilities: Impenetrable - Super effective hits deal half damage, and you take no indirect damage. Stats: HP-80 ATK-110 DEF-160 SPA-100 SPD-70 SPE-80 BST-600 Move Pool: Power gem, shift gear, shore up, accelerock, spikes, stealth rocks New Move: Chromatize - A steel type status move that increases the users special attack and special defense while reflecting status moves for the turn.

This thing becomes a monster if you halve the dmg from 4x moves tbh. Dude is weak to 3 typings, his downside was the x4 on the other 2 but both mainly hit physically so without the x4 it can easily take them head on. 90 HP, 120 Atk, 200 Def and 80 Spdef and this thing becomes nutty.

Battle Armor could be another possible alternative. If we make Aggron a Steel/Ground type, there is a lot of balls moves that won't affect him(Acid Spray, Sludge Bomb, Electro Ball, Zap Cannon), already resists( Weather Ball, Rock Blast, Gyro Ball), or is restricted to a few Pokemon( Beak Blast, Octazooka, Searing Shot).
Generally pseudo legends were given 4x weaknesses in order to keep them from being too broken. While that hasn't always been the case, it has been a majority of the time. I feel like you could find justification for steel/dark, that way it only has a 4x weakness to fighting. Then you can find ways to play around it, like with chople berry.

Realistically, game freak should just adjust double type weakness to only a max of x3 instead of x4. If you want, you balnce it with the inverse of that and tone down double resist, too
Rock is a redundant type that we don’t need. Other similar types like water to ice and dark to ghost have far greater differences between the two. I think rock type should just be removed outright with rock types retyped to ground and sound replacing it to keep 18 types total

Personally I wouldve only slightly buffed its spdef and gave it the filter ability again, then giving it 110 spatk. that way its not too bulky and it can be either special or physical
Aggron should have been a psuedo legendary all along. And I think should add different types of psuedo legendary Pokémon apart from just Dragon types; like a Normal Physical Attacker or something like that.
I went in a completely different direction than what you had in mind. I bumped up Aggron’s HP to 105, Attack to 140, Defense 200, and it’s Special defense to 100. and I halved the Special attack and speed to 30 and 25 respectively. I gave it Drain Punch for reliable recovery. And I wanted it to learn Gyro ball, and it would be added late into Aron and Lairon’s level up set. My view for Aggron was to still be defensive, yet be able to pack a horrifying punch… I also gave it Knock off for extra coverage. I also changed Aggron to pure Steel, just to make sure that the defensive typing is better. I did return Mega Aggron’s ability, Filter to it for an extra defense boost. And I bumped up the Level to evolve to 57 because of how much I over-tuned it.😅😅 I didn’t expect you to change Aggron to a ground type, but I do understand that and Bulletproof and Earth Eater, I wish I though of that.

Yeah, I was on top of the changes before you added earth eater. That's too much in my opinion. I would agree to something that raises his defenses a bit like heatproof or battle armor, but earth eater is waaaay too much. That would make Aggron the best pseudo by far and maybe even lock it into ubers depending on the meta. But I quite like most of the changes. It fits Aggron very well to be an unmoving shield of pure steel. And speaking of shield's... do Aegislash now! The only other mon I've ever thought to be a pseudo apart from Aggron was Aegislash since his design screams it so much IMO. If not going for Aegis... I think finding new cute, looking pseudo like Goodra would be interesting. Pseudos usually are menacing apart from Goodra and Dragonite that are more cute looking than menacing, I was actually thinking of Togekiss for this, well the perfect one for this would actually be Altaria if Mega Altaria was an actual evolution for it instead of a mega and I do believe Game Freak should make Mega Altaria into an actually evolution for Altaria since Altaria screams so much like a middle evolution.
You could have also kept the rock type and given it earth eater as a base ability to remove the 4x ground type weakness and keeping the weakness to fighting so aggron isn't too good
tbh I would be already happy if we just make it a Steel Mono type or Steel Ground Steel Rock really gives it Bastiodon syndrome... So kinda what the mega got...
I’ve thought of this same concept before but I had a way different approach. I essentially made Aggron a cross between Tyranitar and Metagross. It had your same HP of 90 so an average between the two, however its Atk is the same as Metagross but SpA just one point less than the two as it didn’t have a special attacking STAB in gen 3 like the others did. I still wanted it to have respectable special atk because it has a great special movepool with great coverage. Next I actually lowered its defense to base 155 to be on par with standard Aggron with the new buffed HP stat as it’s very solid. I kept its SpDef pretty average and it’s been just a little higher enough to outspeed Blissey without any investment. Looks like this: 90/135/155/94/70/56 BST=600

I agree with state changes, but I would prefer him being pure steel with hidden ability filter (but I supposed making him Mega Aggron 0.5 would be too repetitive) Still, earth eater is way too good to give him, like immunity to toxic/mortal spin, electric attacks and ground attacks(two strong offensive types) arguably makes him too strong in his role. Also you should have included body press since he can used it effectively. Anyway, hoping to see Pseudo-legendary treatment to Kingdra
Personally I wouldve only slightly buffed its spdef and gave it the filter ability again, then giving it 110 spatk. that way its not too bulky and it can be either special or physical

Aggron should have been a psuedo legendary all along. And I think should add different types of psuedo legendary Pokémon apart from just Dragon types; like a Normal Physical Attacker or something like that.
I went in a completely different direction than what you had in mind. I bumped up Aggron’s HP to 105, Attack to 140, Defense 200, and it’s Special defense to 100. and I halved the Special attack and speed to 30 and 25 respectively. I gave it Drain Punch for reliable recovery. And I wanted it to learn Gyro ball, and it would be added late into Aron and Lairon’s level up set. My view for Aggron was to still be defensive, yet be able to pack a horrifying punch… I also gave it Knock off for extra coverage. I also changed Aggron to pure Steel, just to make sure that the defensive typing is better. I did return Mega Aggron’s ability, Filter to it for an extra defense boost. And I bumped up the Level to evolve to 57 because of how much I over-tuned it.😅😅
I didn’t expect you to change Aggron to a ground type, but I do understand that and Bulletproof and Earth Eater, I wish I though of that.

Yeah, I was on top of the changes before you added earth eater. That's too much in my opinion. I would agree to something that raises his defenses a bit like heatproof or battle armor, but earth eater is waaaay too much. That would make Aggron the best pseudo by far and maybe even lock it into ubers depending on the meta.
But I quite like most of the changes. It fits Aggron very well to be an unmoving shield of pure steel. And speaking of shield's... do Aegislash now! The only other mon I've ever thought to be a pseudo apart from Aggron was Aegislash since his design screams it so much IMO.
If not going for Aegis... I think finding new cute, looking pseudo like Goodra would be interesting. Pseudos usually are menacing apart from Goodra and Dragonite that are more cute looking than menacing, I was actually thinking of Togekiss for this, well the perfect one for this would actually be Altaria if Mega Altaria was an actual evolution for it instead of a mega and I do believe Game Freak should make Mega Altaria into an actually evolution for Altaria since Altaria screams so much like a middle evolution.

You could have also kept the rock type and given it earth eater as a base ability to remove the 4x ground type weakness and keeping the weakness to fighting so aggron isn't too good

I’ve thought of this same concept before but I had a way different approach. I essentially made Aggron a cross between Tyranitar and Metagross. It had your same HP of 90 so an average between the two, however its Atk is the same as Metagross but SpA just one point less than the two as it didn’t have a special attacking STAB in gen 3 like the others did. I still wanted it to have respectable special atk because it has a great special movepool with great coverage. Next I actually lowered its defense to base 155 to be on par with standard Aggron with the new buffed HP stat as it’s very solid. I kept its SpDef pretty average and it’s been just a little higher enough to outspeed Blissey without any investment. Looks like this: 90/135/155/94/70/56 BST=600
