Lyrics:
I'm going down south, I'm going down south
Going down south, I'm going down south
Chilly wind don't blow
I'm going with you babe, I'm going with you babe
Going with you babe, I'm going with you babe
Don't care where you go
Some other man, some other man
Some other man, some other man
He's always hanging around
I'd rather be dead, rather be dead
Rather be dead, I'd rather be dead
Six feet in the ground
I'm going down south, going down south
Going down south, I'm going down south
Chilly wind don't blow

Glad the Black Keys are making music for people who appreciate it, not for the masses. This is exactly the type of music that is needed right now.
110%!
Totally agree
It needed to be said
the real will always outlive the pop radio trendy bullshit. Real always lasts, real always has that staying power...god bless real music, no matter the genre! if it's REAL, you'll feel it..
Shame I can only like this comment once!!!
Let's just say that this album is gonna be a Classic. I'm currently Delta Kreaming my jeans

Love the help me stranger profile pick
your comment very creative
How cool they have RL Burnside's guitarist (Kenny Brown) and Junior Kimbrough's bassist (Eric Deaton) in these sessions. Amazing!
The Eric Deaton Trio is one of the best bands around.
wow.. i didn't know... thanks for that
Garry Burnside was Juniors Bass player, let's not forget that. Not Eric.
Slide guitar play by Kenny Brown is fantastic. He & Cedric Burnside backed Samuel Jackson in the Juke Joint scene in "Black Snake Moan" movie.
Thanks JD!
Oh shit, this is gonna be a good summer
a white boy summer
@@quandaliusdingleton5280 The irony is this comes from original source music of blacks... Blues were created and perfected by black people. RL burnside was the man.
False, the Vikings first created blues music. Look into it.

Discovered these guys as a 13 yo in 2003 with the song Thickfreakness. I'm so happy they are back playing blues.
Amen they got off track after the Brothers album, but glad they're back
Thickfreakness is my fave song of ALL time!
Good call, but I thought the 1st track off Turn Blue was a possible new direction and I was interested in where it might go, still sound GOOD though
@A music yeah their older is music is the truth for sure! I remember chasing them around when they were playing venues, saw about five or six shows, and then all of sudden they were playing at the Conseco Field House in Indianapolis and the quality just dropped even though they added a bassist and a keyboard/piano player. I just like the raw crunchy blues rock sound.
Discovered their first album in 2003 as well going through the CD collection of friend in France who bought the CD randomly in the US. I though it was an old bikers 70s rock blues band and was so surprised to see they were young guys in their twenties. I fell in love with the album and was also surprised by how big they became! Their old 2003-2004 gigs on RUclips are fantastic.
Badass. Bluesy Black Keys is my favorite Black Keys.
Yesssss!!!!!!
I love all their albums differently so I'm glad they change it up all the time. Really diggin this one.
👍💯
Yes.
Couldn’t agree more
I just found your account yesterday talking about how great Dan Electro guitars are... and now here you are in the comments of one of my favorite bands... immediately fell in love with your channel
👍🇦🇺
Dude.. this intro 0:00 is the best thing 🤦🏻♂️
Facts: They recorded this album in 10 hours. Recording was done in a 2 day period. Best part is that they didn't do a rehearsal. Amazing 👏
Not surprised. They've been blues boys from the get go. One of their early albums (chulahoma) was just Junior Kimbrough covers. Blues runs through their veins
I dont care if its not a international mega-hit, I'm so glad ya guys are back to the groovy blusey roots.
Straight up there with their best hits. Simple yet incredible. The Black Keys! 😉
Loving it in Fiji...
I heard this song tonight on Russian radio. Instant love.
Vivo en patagonia Argentina.. tengo 49 años.. me encanta esta música.. y a este grupo lo vengo a conocer por una moto viajera que lo recomendó... y pienso hacer lo mismo.. creo que esta música no tiene fronteras.. 🤠👍
The fact that music like this still exists behind the terrible songs that top the charts is an inspiration for me to keep playing music and posting on my channel. Love the keys.
Yes!! Agreed
Speaking facts man! I agree🙌
Dude, seriously, why is there always a dumb comment like this. In the grand scheme of things, Black Keys music is kinda generic chart topping stuff
@@cinemaspire7258 I completely agree. While The Black Keys are my favorite band, they are pretty generic and more accessible to the average person. That being said I’m a simple man, and I like simple music.
@@EricLeCrennSanchez no doubt the make good music but yeah too many people feel superior for listening to them as tho they're the only traditional or even alternative rock band around
This album will be like when you get everything you wanted for Christmas...
I don't know of the new album is going to be good enough for me
@@stevenanderson4315 why would it not be good enough for you? It’s not made for you anyway.
I ain’t gonna wait that long!
I guess Kings of Leon and Black Keys love going back down south.
I instantly thought the same thing 😂
In the immortal words of R.L. Burnside, "WELL, Well, well"
Burnside must be smiling in Heaven
More likely Hell. But Good Hell.
Best rock duo we have nowadays! Who agrees with me?
By the way, we are an upcoming band who are very inspired by the music of the Black Keys. If you are interested, head over there 👈 and let us know what you think of our songs. Especially now, it is very hard for new bands to let people hear their music. Your support would help us a lot!
The one and only. Really like the new setup witj the band. Cant wait for the album! Chcked your stuff out btw, great tunes man! Keep it going
Royal blood too
@@FilmFanAiden their new album is absolute trash sadly
@@FilmFanAiden Came just to say that. Good man.
Love the chulahoma sign
As a man born and raised in Mississippi, it is quite an honor to have these guys carry on some of our sate’s greatest bluesman legacy. Much love from the south 🙏🖤
I feel like R.L. would say "Well, well, well" after this version in appreciation.
@@michaelkearney3648 definitely, and a grin from ear to ear.
I’m from Mississippi too and I love that people are keeping this music alive.
The Black Keys return to their blues roots. 😎
First time you hear Dan s falsetto, you raise your eyebrows skeptically, but by the second half of the song, you get the point. This is a good song!
Honesty I'm not sure I like it. Never heard him sing so high. I feel like his usual voice would have fitted better
My favorite RL BURNSIDE SONG!,,,
Great cover by the Black Keys. It's great to see & hear Kenny Brown. RIP R.L. Burnside.
I grew up in the rural south and who ever did the cinematography/ video concept did a great job of capturing the poverty that is ever present there.
True Detective season 1 was also perfect in that regard (rural Louisiana).
I live in the rural south & completely agree
Pat & Dan's music has always been like a hot cup of coffee on a cold rainy day.
More like a shot of whiskey for me 😎🚬
Comparing blues to a beverage could be a form of synaesthesia.
Yep, definitely straight up bourbon.
Shore cain't
The Black Keys have a flavour in their music which is not too spicy and not too smooth. It completely relaxes the mind.
Nothing can compete with Hill Country Blues when it comes to groovy hypnotic rhythms
Very well said!
Turn Blue
amen
Rip R.L. Burnside... Great job guys.
Лучшее, что попадало в мои уши за последний год
Thank you Keys for playing them blues !!
Привет из России. Потрясающая песня. Спасибо! Я люблю The black keys
Crazy to actually think we are the few thousand that experience this first. Crazy times
While taking a dump, what a great time to be alive xD
The few hundred thousand.
This is gonna be a classic. Dan's voice is soooooo good
It's interesting hearing Dan in a high register. I feel like I'm waiting for Eddie Holman to join in a version of "Hey There Lonely Girl". Since R.L. has about 37 different versions of this song I give the Keys credit for making it sound fresh with R.L.'s adopted "son" Kenny Brown alongside.
What a great song! Black keys keeping the blues alive
Hope this guys go down more to the South and end up in Mexico doing some concerts.

How many Mississippi Blues songs you guys want?
All of us : yes
Dan Auerbach always had such a soulful voice. It never disappoints!
It s a lifetime dream some day to visit a north mississippi hill country pic nic . Hill country blues is so pure and near close to the african roots... I love it!!!
This is basically the best cover album of all time.
Inject this straight into my veins
BEST SONG OF THE ENTIRE AWESOME ALBUM!!! Still the no.1 band of this planet!
Matthew McConaughey's dad sure knows how to slide...
The way the lead singer changes his voice is amazing! Got to love the Black Keys!
Just like Chulahoma. Not an album I can hardcore rock out to, just pure blues vibrations
Did you read the street sign near the beggining
This album is gonna be fire. Makes me wanna jump in my 95 Caprice Classic and head down to Mississippi
Good on you boys! This music needs to be heard. The more people that can be turned on to the music of RL Burnside the better. Glad to see you have Kenny Brown and Eric Deaton in there as well.
THE BLUES IS BACK IN TOWN BABY
*GENIUS*
That is exactly what I need Today.
Black Keys always puttin out songs I didn’t realize I needed
That's It. I'm definately grabbing a copy of Delta Kream.
Brilliant.
I was hoping it was just a matter of time before they covered my favorite RL Burnside song and thank God, they finally did it!
This is exactly what I needed right now. Here in the south with the summer coming up. Nothing but sweet ass sun and water on the horizon.
This album will get Grammys,
and this song will be on a show
that will get Emmys.
i dont want it to get that
nor be on a show
MAKE BLUES GREAT AGAIN!
this is the type of song that you play while driving and just enjoying the road and music
Fuck yeah
this album is going to be so FUCKING GOOD
Wow, heard 10 times in a row, what a song!
When I find Jewels like this I listen for hours and hours, in the Night.
The Black Keys это группа, которая уже может считаться легендарной. Я очень рад, что такая музыка есть в наше время.
Dan: Going down souutth, going down souuth 🎶
Me: Stayin' at hoome, stayin' at hoome... 🎶
Yikes why
The Albums that the Black keys make are always unique projects. What an excellent band.
FINALLY some bluesy Keys. This is fire.
"The album was recorded "in about 10 hours" over two afternoons"...
That's the way to make things...
Just do it.
Perfect Album!
dan is so great goddamn
RL Burnside would be proud I'm sure... track is super cool... as always
This music is actually "music"!
YEAH..........so excited!
So excited 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
So great to hear the 'Keys returning to their roots...another modern classic!
Another incredible album on the way.
Drinking irresponsibly is something stupid to do, but this song makes me wanna chug down a whole bottle of Jack by myself. Such authentic blues vibes from a modern day band is a rare find.
Omg, first it was Chulahoma/Kimbrough and now it's Burnside. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
Delta Kream is gonna be fearlessly smooth! Can't wait 🍄
Love the chilly wind blowing through this recording... like a blues halo
👍❤❤top return to the roots!
Love the blues based sound of the Black Keys. Timeless.
Great cover
I have ten years listening to you. And you never disappoint. You are my favourite band in all the world. I knew you because Brothers and know I know every album of The Black Keys. You make music for the people who loves you, not for the masses or to be a trend (obviously you are a trend). Love from Venezuela.
