1:37 - Alpha (free2play) accounts can now use t2 drones - for a time they could not and I remember this being a real problem helping alpha characters with drone loadouts.

One small correction: ‘Augmented’ drones have the same requirement as T2 drones (unlike the Navy and ‘Integrated’ drones), and alpha clones are able to use T2 light drones

I just recently started using Gila, always thought it was goofy looking. But seeing drones 2 shot cruisers is pretty damn impressive.
gila drones also wreck t3 destroyers :) xtra squishy's 'extreme gila ratting' vid is a great example
most any medium sized weapon will do a lot to any destroyer sized hull in general though

Another tip I've used myself. A webber drone not only slows a target but also increases its signature radius just like a web module. With certain drone boat fits where you don't have space, the webber helps the optimal range of other drones to squeeze out a little more dps, though a drone computer with an optimal range script is preferable if you can fit it. I've also used web drones with missile boats as it causes missiles to apply more dmg.
1x web drone, 3 med dmg drones is my fav with an Algos. They done miss.
Never use more than web drone though, the effect doesn't stack (last I checked anyways).

There's a medium drone similar to the Gecko that also does omni damage called the 'Subverted' JVN-UC49. But it was a limited event item and is pretty rare.
While I am primarily a miner in EVE I do use drones for defence and usually mix drone types to counter weakness plugins.

last I checked, the game had diminishing returns on some types of EWAR drones - the webbing and target painting ones at the time
so if you're using them to do pve , or considering using them, you may try 2 painter 3 web drones or vice versa
it works quite nicely with a torp raven for shooting npc pirates, and who doesn't like chunking bigger damage ? you can still squeeze a flight of light combat drones in on the raven and do a 3/2 web painter or painter web split
as a small bonus, when grinding out PVE you may notice that your drones sometimes die, and if you use t2 or faction drones this can get expensive... ewar drones are quite cheap though, so if your EWAR drone package can allow your mission ship (probably a missile one) to kill targets it otherwise couldn't track or apply damage to well enough, and losing drones is costing you a bit, you might squeeze a little more efficiency by throwing cheap ewar drones out instead of expensive t2's
I miss all my little mining drones chewing up space rocks to make me some space money
drones are epic, i use a vexor and its such a great thing, people tend to hate them but personally i think they are safer, remember combat is best done from range

Is it better effective to use 2 EC-300 light drones , or one EC-600 medium drone for ECM jamming of target ship? They are going in an Endurance ship for pvp on belts.
EC-300 light drone : Sensor strength 5. .. ECM Jammer strength 1.
EC-600 Medium drone : Sensor strength 7.5. .. ECM Jammer strength 1.5

On my main, my drones engage rats attacking my mining barge automatically. On my alt however, my drones do not engage targets automatically attacking my alt's mining barge. Any idea why?
Both have been set to aggressive and focus fire...
I use to chide our junior corp mates who would flee a battle and leave their 'poor loyal hounds' behind - it go to the point that i and others would make sad lost puppy noises - never saw such guilty faces in our corp ;-)
Im a noob to pvp, i was wondering how do you get your overview like that?
I had no idea there were drones in EO. Now I feel bad for not looking into it more. I've been trying to get into the game for years but I just don't have the time to put in.

You dont have to put that much time in tbh.
If anything playing it casually can be better as your credits wont outpace your skill training.
