The most hilarious thing ever is to run a tank fit with 5 ECM drones and your own ECM modules and just screw with gankers. You can reliably disable all enemy damage from a single ship by cancelling lock every single time they get one, and cause chaos in organised fleets by turning focus fire off and having random ships lose their locks completely at random, ruining any hope of focused dps and just causing general anger. I caused a 20-pilot fleet to just give up because after 40 minutes of shooting me, the most damage they had inflicted before being completely cancelled was half of my shield, and my allies were arriving on grid.
If you've shrunk the drone window, the gear icon which lets you change passive, aggressive, etc. settings can overtop the name of the drones in the window and be almost impossible to see.
The Guardian Vexor(!) It gets +1 drone per skill level of Gallente Cruiser so it can launch 10 drones. However the only other trait on the ship is for hybrid turret damage, so the drones are totally unbonused. They are extremely rare, (only a few were handed out, and that was in 2004), extremely expensive (even if you do see one for sale) and anyone who undocks one will be one of the top gank targets on the entire server. wiki.eveuniversity.org/Guardian-Vexor 😎
QUESTION: assuming all drones skills are maxed, what drones provide the most DPS for the buck? T2 drones or the rare/faction drones? I would assume it would be the T2 drones, because of the 25% damage-boost from skills, but unsure.
Well, as is always the case.....that depends. Tech 2 drones will get slightly more raw damage than Faction drones, but Faction drones have better tracking, which can result in more applied damage. Faction are also faster so they cover the distance between targets quicker, as well as having far more hitpoints. Augmented will have even more raw damage than Tech 2 as well as having more hitpoints and being faster, but that damage is split over two different damage types, so it may result in similar amounts of applied damage, depending on enemy resistances. Augmented also cost the most.
@@CadePlaysGames Thanks for clearing that up. I was trying to decide if I should stick with T2 for my Ishtar & Eos, or go for the faction drones. I'm willing to spend the extra isk if it improves DPS, as time is money. :)
@@CadePlaysGames Same thing again today. It's very strange, only videos on Eve Online are getting blocked for me. I can watch AceFace, but anyone else with content gets blocked for me.
@@tpaige99 Weird! AceFace stuff probably works because he doesn't really play EVE, he diddles about on the test server so he only plays at playing EVE 😂
So good. So clear. Zero Rambling. Thank you 😊
Cheers!
Great video for new players , thank you !

Well done. Very helpful. Exactly what we needed.
Just curious: What was the ship you weren't going to mention at 2:40? ;-)

Outstanding video! Very helpful
Glad you found it useful!
Great Video, thanks/helps a lot!
Glad you found it helpful :)
Crazy you can’t repair yourself with your drones but very helpful video thanks!
You cannot target lock yourself, so you can't give drones commands to heal yourself! 😎
Thanks! Well done!

good video
But how do you get the drones in the first place? you never showed that
Buy them on market like anything else😎
Showing as not available to me after I watched a commercial.
Hmm strange, it's set to public. Not sure what's causing that 🤔
