    Just to clarify the rule of 6 - it will always be a number unless the system core is one away. Meaning if you had found a defensive node, the system core would have been in one of the surrounding 6 nodes.

    Not sure if you were doing this intentionally just to show the mechanic, but clicking the white dots to look for powerups is suboptimal technique until they're your last resort to avoid failing. Powerups have diminishign returns and it's a needless risk of hitting antivirus or restoration that will make you fail more often over time.

    Ok, yes ghost sites are risky but it is a manageable risk if you know what you're doing. Don't fail the hack, and don't stay longer than the 2 minute timer upon warp in and you're good. Also, unlikely anyone will try to attack you one you're hacking because they will blow up too. Generally just go for one differently named container. If you like pushing the envelope you can manage to hack 2 if you're quick and efficient with your hacking, and then warp the heck outta there. It's risk vs reward and it's exciting.

      Hisec is best for newer players as they're easier sites, but if you can scan and hack advanced sites, I think wormholes can be a really good way to go if you're careful.
      Getting attacked by other players is part of the exploration life. I've done videos on how to survive, and a full guide on how to fit ANY exploration ship!
      You want to look for sites called "Ruined/Decayed/Crumbling" or "Central/Local/Regional", followed by a pirate type. Such as a "Ruined Angel Crystal Quarry" or "Central Guristas Sparking Transmitter". These are safe sites that do not have any rats.

  • @paulniotis6755
    @paulniotis6755 Год назад

    Scanning the containers and leaving them alone if they're not worthy (cherry picking) is not the best advise.
    As long as the site is not finished, no new similar site will respawn in the same constellation until the semi-finished site disappears after a couple of days. If everyone starts doing this, then it'll be increasingly difficult to find fresh sites.
    If you insist on scanning and find out the can is not worthy, the best you can do is start the minigame twice and just close the window, so the can explodes.

    • @captainbenzie

      So, i have seen cherry picked sites exist for 40 hours sometimes. Server glitch? Maybe. My point is that cherry picking is bad etiquette. When a hunter picks only the good stuff, the next one only loses his time (and sometimes his ship 😁).
