    One thing I've learned as a new player on Eve is that experienced players think a new player already has skills that take months to earn when giving us new player advice.

      Skills aren't that bad. Most of the necessary things are very fast to get and you get skill injections just following the career stuff on top of free ships. There's also the free 1 million skill points for using someone's reference code, very much recommend using that once you know what you really need to use it on.

      Videos like this that claim a new plyer can make 430m in an hour are pure clickbait and Drive ppl away who think they are bad because they will never be able to do so. 430m an hour from highsec or even wh eploration is ridicoulus maybe of you are expirieced and super lucky. This claims are only made to say look how awsome i am, just stupid and harmful to any new Player. Its the same when i find an officer fight hin in 5min loot 50b and Claim i can make 600b an hour in 0sec

    as a completely new player really trying to learn the game i will say that this guide is good for new players who have played consistently if you are a new player who plays off and on you wont really understand many of the things he mentions in the video. Nothing worth doing is easy , this is a great game for someone who is willing to put hours of dedication into it. If you're not willing to put atleast an hour or so into this game daily then i dont really think you're gonna get anywhere you want to as fast as you want to. So as a piece of really good advice, take your time you'll get to where you want to be sooner than you realize

    Just one bit about Combat anomalies (exploration), the final escalation is always in low-sec for the lower ones. Refuge anomalies can escalate into a 5/10 site which is mostly low-sec but can spawn in high-sec as well. So running the Combat anomalies is not really rewarding unless you luck out and a. it escalates b. it is a 5/10 in HS ...
    Also since they are on the scanner, there's is quite some competition around those sites and unless you find a nice quiet constellation you may never see any in particular times of day.

      @@vadamman Kind of? Eve was always a subscription game, and in the past you couldn't play the game at all without paying a subscription. But the developers added the Alpha and Omega clone system in order to attract more players by offering a "free trial" account essentially because it's tough to recruit and retain new players in a game as merciless as Eve. However, they've never claimed this game is F2P friendly. From CCP (and veterans of the game perspective), an Alpha is just a free trial which you are supposed to upgrade from if you end up liking the game and choose to stick with it. Alpha's are a testing/probationary period to give people a chance to try the spooky scary cruel difficult game without having to pay a sub cost upfront. That sub cost on top of Eve's reputation was scaring off potential new players... But the intention from the developers was always for free trial players to transition to full accounts in order to get the normal experience of the game. Not enhanced, just normal; for example, Alphas have 50% reduced training time. I know it says that you get Omega you double your speed, but it's actually the opposite. Omega training time has never changed, but when CCP introduced Alphas, they halved their training speed, because Alphas are not "supposed" to have the full experience.
      Now, some player groups center themselves around being F2P friendly, in perpetuity. That's pretty cool, and what you'd expect from a sandbox game like Eve. But again, Eve is technically supposed to be a subscription based game. Its kinda like how FF14 lets you play up to a certain expansion completely for free, but they won't let you touch end game stuff or get the best gear from end game content. It's meant to pull people in, not necessarily let them play the entire experience for free.

    A while back I was farming rats in Gallente space when ran into a crazy string of luck. In a 3 day period I had 3 Shadow Serp drops in combat anoms with a combined total over 1.5B in loot. The best was a Shadow cruiser in a Den that dropped over 900M in an implant and a pair of modules. Added to that were 4 X chip drops in drone Anoms. (for anyone who doesn't know, X Chips are traded in SOE loyalty store for the SOE ship BPO's)

    For new players, looting ship debris in Triglavian space (about 50mil/h) and stealing open outposts(around 150mil/h-200mil/h) are strongly recommended. Looting in Triglavian space only needs a super cheap looting ship and can produce a crazy amount of profit easily if you are lucky. Faction warfare on the other hand got a bit of a skill point requirement. By using a Catalyst fitted with some light neutron blasters and some magnetic field stabilizer, the ship can easily reach the 400 DPS requirement to crush the NPC in the opposing open outpost. Just remember to aline yourself to a stargate so it will be easy to run away when someone on the opposing side jumps in to kill you. In the meantime, fly safely. o7

      I'm a new player and have a question if you don't mind. Do you mean killing the Triglavians, and then looting their ships? Or just flying in and taking then looting the debris, etc? I'm sure this sounds dumb but I'm not sure if the debris spawns automatically in these systems as some sort of game mechanic or if it's actually from the Triglavians dying. And if killing them is required, what type of ship would you recommend for that? I'm alpha currently but planning to go omega once I get my bearing and figure out what I'm doing a bit.

    So basically combat/ratting is your style. I’ve made billions per hour from mining for nullsec corps. If you’re watching movies while mining then that means you’re doing it wrong. Solo mining ops require you to haul your own ores, and with 10 ships you’re constantly moving ores to and from the mining belt. It’s very interactive. The most I’ve done is 3 box. Two miners and one hauler.

    Considering that one subscription gives you three characters who can work together (not at the same moment in time obviously) I have found Planetary Management to be well worth my time as it - up to a point - runs itself. Admittedly it takes time to max all three characters in the few skills required but I personally am making hundreds of millions of isk every day and only have to spend an hour every day (working on a 24 hour timer) making sure the materials are coming in. You don't need to go to Tier 4, Tier 3 on certain items is a good earner. Don't throw money at CCP, make use of your one sub.

      @@HisMagnificence As I said, train your other slots to be able to perform PI and fly the Epithal. You will need to max out their PI skills to make it worthwhile but there are not that many. You can go through the list of Tier 3 products to see which brings the highest price (something around 100k a unit) and then find a location where there are suitable planets. You do not want to be spending all your time travelling from one system to another to collect your materials. Never transport raw materials, manufacture them to at least Tier 1 on the planet i.e. if you need Water, set up factories on the planet to make it from Aqueous Liquids and then transport. @@Inmyforces you can run all of the security missions L1-L4 in Galente ships but you will need others to run the L4 burner missions. There are a few low tier abyssal fits for Galente ships. DED sites, ratting, but the place where a lot of your skills will come into play is with Incursions. There’s a group called The Ditanian Fleet that run armor based fits and they have an “entry” fit in the vindicator. I think that regarding DED site escalations, it has a tendency, in fact it might be every time I'm not sure, to drop the escalation site in lowsec. Is this a big deal? Absolutely. Lowsec bordering on highsec mission space is probably the most dangerous space in general in all of EVE. There is no one there to save you, and because of the constant trickle of naive players nudged into it by missions etc. These systems typically have a rather sizeable population of full time zboardkillers and gankers who specialize in having their way with you.
    I just got a 0.2 escalation site today. I checked the activity there and it was not insignificant. There were several accomplished killers who operated there. Now, I know I'm pretty easily scanned down in that pocket. So I look at the structure of the mission and see that the acceleration gates are unlocked, which means that once I am scanned down, anyone can follow me in. I look at the potential rewards and know that these particular faction modules aren't great. I'd be risking a ship that costs considerably more than the average loot.
    So there goes making ISK in highsec for the combat exploration escalation part. At least in this example and I suspect in most of them. To do these in highsec and get so lucky you both get an escalation as well as one that's in highsec space (if that's even a thing), as well as being a mission that drops the good stuff, as well as actually dropping the good stuff, has to come pretty low on a list of ISK making activities in highsec.

    • @klade5031
      @klade5031 6 месяцев назад

      They will always escalate to a system lower in security rating than the original system, which mean yes, it can lead to a lowsec system but can also be highsec provided that the original site you cleared has a high enough security rating. The sites with multiple escalations do have an unfortunate tendency to end up in lowsec systems

    • @visceros

      that actually depends on your skills and ship/fit cost. For example you can run t5 gamma in a ship worth ~600-700 millions, or you can run t5 firestorm, but you'll need 2,5 bils for a ship and implants. So the main question is ...is it worth it to pay 2 billions more for a fit that you risk to lose, all in order to pay 10 millions less for a filament? If you can allow it, and losing a 2,5 bil ship+capsule won't hit your pocket hard - then sure, why not, you'll get 10 mils more profit from each run, that's cool.

    • @TroaBarton
      @TroaBarton 3 года назад +1

      First off just decline every mission that has you fight other main factions, level up the diplomacy skill if you haven’t already. Then you have options you can grind your rep up with Amarr via missions, run the SoE epic ark, or do the one time server missions. Check out hateless gaming’s guide to fix standings.

    • @grolich
      @grolich 3 года назад +1

      The only missions that will harm your faction standings in any significant way are ones which puts you against other faction forces. If you want to avoid it, do NOT take those missions, and run others.
      these things are said in the mission description before you accept. If you see mention of an amar convoy you’ll have to stop, for example, you are going to destroy your amar standings if you do it, even if it’s about stopping “terrorists” with bioweapons in the mission description.
      As to raising standings - there are many ways, but most will cause other standings to drop -
      the one way to get a massive standings boost with no penalty is by doing the sisters of eve epic arc - a series of 50 (not difficult, to put it mildly) missions - you get to choose a faction to help near the end, and you get a huge faction boost to the one you chose to help.
      This has nothing to do with the sisters of eve faction, and will only help the Corp standings, not affecting other faction standings negatively at all.
      Also - you can repeat epic arcs every 90 days. (Can be completed in just a few hours each time).

    • @grolich
      @grolich 3 года назад

      Also - storyline missions - be temporarily careful when accepting those… derives standings can be somewhat annoying as well if you’re near hostile with other factions.

Caldari Navy just about makes you an honorary member after that including discounts.

      To add to the other replies, pick a Corps with each faction - local to your home base if possible; Corps that have agents at each level you need to run to get to L4 mission level with that corps, then run each one to the Storyline to build up the Faction rep. The person saying ignore Storylines is WRONG, they are the ONLY way to get Faction rep; even if that SL is going to hurt other Empire rep, it is nearly always worth doing.
      The fastest way to build rep is to run Distribution missions, however they ARE boring. With practice, you can get an SL mission per hour; when Rep building, I would run them to the SL, then go run Combat missions, go ratting or Hacking for another hour, before going back to the Distribution missions for another hour.
      ANY of the smaller cargo ships can handle up to L3 Distribution missions, with Cargo expander IIs and/or Large Standard Containers and Cargo rigs; however I use the Nerues, as it can be fun to take it ratting when I get bored.

T0 abyssals can be done pretty early on as well and I'd recommend new combat pilots get into abyssals as soon as they can afford to risk a destroyer (find a guide for abyssals since certain fits perform very well in them). If want to do pvp just join a pvp corp or faction warfare. If you want to do mining find a public Rorqual fleet in high sec and use thier compression services to help you fit more ore into your hold, and while you mine do project discovery.

    A bit of false advertising here. There's nothing a player is going to do in high sec to earn 400m/hr. Not happening, especially not for alpha, and most definitely for new players. So many influencers make these click bait videos, lying to new players. Even if you were able chain high sec DED sites, and there was no competition, it still wouldn't be 400m/hr, not even close. Crab beacons, the pinnacle of null sec ratting at this point, struggles to consistently make 400+m/hr, and that's best done in a super, and takes a ton of ISK to get started and a ton of SP. The abyss isn't really worth it, it caps out around 150m/hr doing T6, because when you account for ship loss it destroys the ISK/hr, and you're going to lose ships guaranteed. High sec mining is a joke for new players. Station trading can be good, and is very scalable but it's boring as shit, incursions are dead, and industry takes a lot of game knowledge. So, yeah. None of this stuff makes 400m/hr, not even close. Best thing a new player can do is join of the null block and learn from them, they'll show you the ropes and get you into a decent income in no time. High sec just sucks for ISK making.

    None of the numbers you're mentioning for ISK per hour is not at all accurate. You have to account for all the other things you have to do to setup the gig and get there. Try cutting the numbers in half.

    The only accurate ISK per hour estimate you gave was mining. Everything else you mentioned earns anywhere from $30M to 100M per actual hour. Nothing in high sec outside of trading earns the high numbers on a consistent basis.

      @CatAcres My guess is he makes what he says. Lot of factors play into that like a higher DPS or better strategy will get you through the mission quicker; where you sell the loot could potentially double the price; faction standings and skills for fee discounts, etc...

      For most early players step 2 is warp into a bubble of pirate campers because you didn't recon the system first or have any off-axis safe jump points.
