I've been playing since 2007, with the vast majority of that time spent as a solo-ish player (i.e. sometimes in a corp but doing my own thing but usually just in my solo corp). Big fan of exploration (whether hacking sites or combat sites) for that purpose, or sometimes market & industry but that requires more consistent attention over time.

This is a how to speak Swahili spoken in Swahili.
If you don't already know everything that you are talking about with the terminology that is foreign to noobs, then what possible use could this be?
Secondly - its factually incorrect. There are other people at least trying to educate/inform others on how to do stuff in Eve. 400 million isk per hour doing the stuff you talk about is just a lie. What about all the learning you need to get to your level? What about the ship fitting and the shopping for parts? What about the time finding buyers? The time it takes to get everywhere? The time it takes to organize your stuff. What the possibility that things don't go perfectly? What about others that are just there to make sure you have a bad day? Does all this take ZERO seconds for you?
The least you could do is be honest about what you are doing even if it is wrong or in a language only you and 500 others know.

I can’t go to low sec without other players destroying my ships it happens every time. I guess the game is so boring that the only entertainment some people get is by stealing from people.
    I’m about ready to quit.
The developers think playing online with a community of random people is a perk. It’s the worst part of the game.
I tried to pass through a lvl 4 security system and got attacked as soon as I got there. Alphas can’t use cloaks so it ruins any opportunity to even bother.
If it was possible to turn off PVP I would. So that you are invincible to attack and incapable of attacking other players.

    • @thomashafner2224
      @thomashafner2224 5 месяцев назад +6

Low Sec is one of the most dangerous places in Eve if you aren’t part of whatever group occupies the space, especially the border systems to High Sec. By entering Low Sec you have to assume someone is going to try to kill you.
PvP is central to Eve’s design so if you play Eve you can’t avoid it entirely and most the time it’s not voluntary for one of the participants. If you aren’t ok with that than it may not be the game for you.
However, you can learn to lessen the chances of being caught and killed even in the most dangerous parts of Eve. By watching who comes into local, using DScan to see what ships are around you, learning which systems are more or less active when you play, what ships are best to use to avoid being caught and many more things. Best advice I can give you is if you get caught and aren’t sure how send the hunter a message and say “hey good fight, how did you catch me?” Most will tell you and you can learn and might even make a friend.
But if you play Eve you must accept that at some point you will get killed by other players, you will lose ships, potentially a lot of ships depending on what activities you participate in.

In a game where you can just open your wallet and get 400m in seconds, why would you even bother? It's literally a waste of time. If money is a renewable resource and time isn't, why would you waste it on a 20-year-old game that is pay-to-win? Is anyone really having fun grinding for isk? I guess you could look at it that way. Are you having fun doing what you are doing when you know full well someone with more money can just pop in their credit card and get infinitely more than you just earned in your full day of grinding in seconds?

@@Mike-ce2nk I stand by my comment. You didn't change my mind. In a game where you can open your wallet and be flying the best ship within an hour, or spend 6 months waiting, is the definition of pay-to-win. Progression skipping is Pay-2-win.
Yes, yes. I hear you. "But you are just going to lose that ship." And, yeah. Sure however this shortcut still tilts the game towards pay-to-win dynamics by accelerating progression in a way non-paying players can't match. I could fund 8 accounts, skill them up in certain things and do things a poor person cannot do without doing months of training if not years. It's literally the definition of pay 2 win. You can argue that it's not, but honestly, you can quite as easy shut the fuck up. You ain't changing the definition of pay 2 win.
      Peace

Aceface gave away his entire 1 trillion fortune a couple of months ago, so he's not that motivated by Isk.
I agree with you to a point, isk per hour is a very bad metric to measure your playtime fun. Some people like Eve, other's hate it, each to their own. If you don't like it why comment? There's always going to be someone with more money than you, people with good careers are usually time-poor, so spending their real life money gives them a chance against the no-life basement dwellers who are time rich. The money they spend pays for the game.

Welcome to Modern gaming (even if EvE online is old tho) , its only getting worse from this point. If you have problem with this, i suggest you quit multiplayer gaming and stick with singleplayer titles or find a new hobby
