Wow..... That was a lucky find :D If i got one like this for free, it would 100% be a dedicated work atv forever. In good condition, these go for like 6000 eur easily, even more sometimes. Okay, just checked the prices. about 4500 eur with plow for 2015 sportsman 570 in our country. Still a good find :D
I just bought a 570 ranger xp. There is water in the oil. It cranked and ran for a 100 yd test drive. I'm 70 and new to ATV/UTV mtc. I plan on pulling the top end and checking for play in the rod, replacing the head gasket set. What else should I inspect/replace? Can I re-use the head bolts or should they be replaced? Can you recommend an after market parts supplier for quality parts other than Polaris? Thanks, Ken
I would recommend Rev6.com I have had really good lucky with there parts. Also I would check the water pump seal. I would first pop off the radiator cap & start the unit up & look for constant air builds that would tell you if it's a head gasket. If that checks out it could be the water pump seal.
@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 I checked the dip stick and it's about 3/8" over the full mark so lots of water in the oil. I'll check the radiator for bubbles, and certainly check the water pump. I guess I should plan on replacing the head bolts? I see conflicting stories on the internet. Machine is clean and looks well maintained. Took it in for service because of over heating and PO said there was no water in the oil before dropping it off for service and diagnostics on over heating. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge and skills. Ken
@@frankwrogg2515 Thanks, I keep reading conflicting stories so was trying to figure it out. The previous owner just replaced the whole top end last year. So it has about 100 hrs at most since the rebuild. Trying to figure out the torque specs now, 2 values, and then turn an additional 135*. I guess I'll have to estimate with my 40 year old torque wrench LOL!
Good lucky and God Job👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🇲🇿

I always drill a hole in the air box so they drain
Looks like rear lights aren't working

@customcutter100 the top end kits don't come with new bolts, so I wouldn't replace them.
