You may have made a short day into a long day but i got to watch you rebuild that motor basically and i learned things i needed to know. So the day was not wasted lol. Thank you for the knowledge. Every time i see you i learn something i needed to know. And i love that about you.
Howdy guys! Nice to see this project getting some attention. Currently just over the mountain from y’all in Gatlinburg, Tn. I hope to see y’all again soon! Camryn
I know y'all stay busy, but I wish we got a little more content from you guys. I get excited when I see a new video. Happy New Years Wheels Through Time.
You can wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which gets filled first. They are a museum. If you want more content then give them the money to do it.
Damn man, I’m with you where I myself love watching there videos and wouldn’t mind seeing them upload more often. I Didn’t expect so many people to get so defensive over your comment.

Imm 45 and that's been happening to me for years. I've gone a couple years with a memory of something rolling around in my head before I stop to think about it and I realize that couldn't have been a real life memory, maybe a dream I had when I was younger or something I day dreamed about years ago. There's at least a couple memories I've had for years that I've been trying to verify but can't. Kind of a weird feeling.
This is why I enjoy your show so much, you keep it real warts and all. You got lucky on the motor nut. Glad you didn't make it on the road before hearing that noise.
On the Chief, you have a lock washer behind this nut. Yes to many project in your garage, amazing ! One kick start after the 3 primary kick on this freshly rebuild bike, that’s showing the quality job you doing 👍 Hope you showing a vidéo, one day, with a flathead chief … 😉 Visiting the museum in springtime 2020. Fred from France, (Indian chief rider since 35 years ago)
My parents owned the Copper Kettle Steak House in Maggie in the 60s and 70s. Behing the restaurant was Johnathan Creek. We used to dam up the creek with rocks, snd that made us a place to swim Our house was the last house at the top of Wild Acres. My dad built the house. The road behind our house was a old dirt logging road. Yhere are houses thete now. About a mile or so back on that road there were sbout 6 or 6 huge boulders. In the trees around the rocks vines in yhe trees went sll the way to the ground They eere growing up out of the ground. There were some trees that fell snd were leaning agsindt the rocks. That is how er got on top of the huge rocks. We cut one of the vines snd tied s rope to it . We would swing the vine to the petson on the rock. We would swing off that rock for hours. When you seung out and didn't make it back to the rock you had to slide down tje vine to the ground. I have so msny memories like that growing up in Msggie.
For a crazy Harley Davidson enthusiast like myself, you guys, without a doubt, have the best channel on RUclips. I always look forward to your videos. Your museum is on my bucket list if I ever make it to the US. Keep warm. 😃🇦🇺
Now that 41 is one sexy beast, I bet there isn’t one person alive who wouldn’t say no to that bike in the whole world. Congrats on a successful build Matt & Chris 👊👍💪👌🙏🍺
@Billthebaker420 BTW, no disrespect meant, I was just joking because Matt usually tries to restore them original and this time he wanted to do the chrome primary cover instead of black. He doesn't care too much for white wall tires either he has stated in previous videos.
Great vid guys, love to see how good a team you guys are, if one is doing something, the other is already prepared for the next step, well oiled machine for well oiled machines!
Good morning 🌅, excellent work, it looks amazing and sounds great to, a shame about the gasket, at the end, I couldn’t bear 🐻 to watch you throw in the gloves anymore, 😂, Happy New Year 🥳 to you all, Regards from France,
Beautiful bike. I had. A 94 sportster the paint was aqua pearl. The green showed in the shade in the sunlight it was blue. The paint on this bike is very similar. Brilliant job.love what you and your team does.
Thank goodness for all roller bearing lower ends. She's a beauty, for sure. The question is, was putting car emblems on the bike a thing back in the day, or is the bike in the picture of this exact machine? Another case of WTT synchronicity?
I hope your at the National Motorcycle Museum auction this weekend in Iowa. There are a few hill climbers and lots bikes and signage..even a 1911 float plane with a rotary engine..
Couldn't believe it when I saw the plate frame, Wichita Falls TX, my hometown. Was that dealership owned by Les Myers drag racing legend? His drag bike is one of my favorites in your museum.

@@follow_the_money_trail Have another one for you, but it's way longer. This takes place in a old western town like Dodge City but it's called Dog City. So one day the Cats rode into town on their horses and there was a big gun fight with the dogs. Dust settled and the cats rode off in the sunset. In a first aide shack there was a dog getting his left paw all bandaged up. He stepped outside on the boardwalk and he was all dusty and his left paw all bandaged up. He looked across the street and saw the saloon. So he walked over to the saloon and swung open the double half doors and saw the bartender standing behind the bar. The bartender looked at the dog and seen he was all dirty and his left paw was all bandaged up. The dog walked up to the bar and put his left bandaged paw up on the bar. And the bartender looked down at the dog and said can I help you? The dog tilted up the rim of his cowboy hat with his right paw and looked at the bartender and said. Yah, I'm looking for the guy , Who Shot My PAW!

I grew up with my best friend living around the corner from me. Hos dad rode a stripped down 1945 knucklehead. It wasnt chopped but it wasnt what Id call a bobber. He got frustrated with it after a couple decades and many rides ruined from side of the road break downs. He sold it for 12k. Last we heard it went to illinois about 13 years ago. Havent heard from it since. The memories of his dad turning on to our street while we were sitting outside on our bicycles. Hed be a couple blocks awayhed roll around the corner, the engine would decelerate amd he'd downshift, engine accelerates, up shift, engine speeds up and settles to a steady rpm, whenn he was by the house pish the clutch in, down shift let clutch out, pulling the engine rpm down, put put put, put clutch ingive her some revs let clutch back out accelerate while turning into the driveway amd into the garage, tap the shifter back into neutral and a couple revs, clut the ignition off. Man that was heaven on earth listening to that. Was then amd is now was of the greatest things ive eber heard and makes my heart smack my chest everytime I think about it. It has had me on a lifetime chase to make sure that sound and feeling is at my disposal whenever I wamt. Ive never aquired a knucklehead but, ive had many damn good feelong bikes. Matt, your father would be so proud of you. You’re so young to have such knowledge, especially given some of this bikes are like 120 years old. You’re truly the Harley gods.
Makes you think about what the last owner said. He rode it home, heard a noise, tore it apart. Most likely he didn't have the bazillion years of repair experience of our intrepid mystical mechanics and didn't notice the simple fix. I bet the nut was tightened, but may be one that needs a little extra magic . You guys are so incredible.
Love your show brother was a 40 not the 80 don't know what year it was had a suicide shift I was only 16 years old been hooked on scooters every since.
Matt & team, great video! I really enjoy your work. About the H-D sidestands: why do they slide into the bracket when the weight's on the stand? I have my own theory but you might know exactly. Cheers from Queanbeyan, Australia.
When the weights on the stand, it’s firmly locked in place. Specifically helps on a hill by keeping the bike from rolling off the stand. You can also push the bike forward or backward without calling off the stand, or use the stand as a pivot.
I must say that if it were me hearing that noise after 2 years of working on a project I probably would have sounded like the character Ralphie from the movie The Christmas Story when he was helping his dad changing a flat tire and drops the lug nuts in the snow. You're a patient man Matt. PS It's green

9:50 Ok, joke of the day;
What is 4 inches long and makes a woman very angry?
An empty roll of toilet paper.
Lol
I thought 4 inches referred to the length of her husband's bank balance? 🤔
sounds soooo good ....super ! 🙌
Daphne Blue?
Beautiful 😊
Fender guitar has that color....they call it Daphne Blue....it's stunning whatever you call it....
5 kicks 😉😁😎 With a smile 😊❤
Great video! Thanks!!
The part that you call a kick stand is really the jiffy stand. The kick stand is under the rear tire.
@5:56 the Color is turquoise. I could be wrong Matt.
In 1941 and 42, HD called it Cruiser Green. We were fortunate to match it from an original color sample.
