Zuckerberg's DC trip: What the spectacle looked like up close - www.cnet.com/news/the-sights-and-sounds-of-facebook-ceo-mark-zuckerbergs-washington-visit/
you just cut in out pieces to make him not sound like he is not that bad of a individual the guy bought up land from indigenous all over the world facebook never started with ads...an you just posted the stupid questions the guy fully admitted he has more then 20.000 individuals monitoring facebook from conversations to pictures he also accidentally stated he uses it for ad purposes your own pics an messaging data also accidentally said he was pushing a polticial agenda for the trump campaign well censoring others an more! stated he was censoring many topics he even started going on about how he has made a system to monitor individuals who stop using facebook for quote "safety reasons" then the goverment is stating things like if you have all this information etc etc
the propaganda your parents seen in the sixties is no where near as bad as it is now how the next generation will be is scary zuckerberg sounded like justin trude lost uncle avoiding everything just to accidentally screw himself
an this cnet is a joke making a mockery out of questions that are very important he stated he can get data such as your emails url history an more an the guy asked if i emailed in whatsap could you get that to it is a simple quiston you made a joke out of it should be illegal to steal an track billions of people even when they delete or sign out
your phone does it to contact google they will legally give you the information an can see it on the internet they track your loaction phone calls texts an more
mark openly stated he is data mining for far more then his term in conditioning says I watched the whole thing which is around 4 hours long talk about disinformation
he stating if you have the right to sell my data to ad companys would you also have the right to give me information on a single individual an he is saying absolute not which makes absolutely no sense an again you try an make a mockery out of it an the masses supports it fools delete this an i will screen shot it for a later date
CNET was that annoying background music necessary?
What is Internet things here?
Well if something looks and sound stupid its the zucc.
CNET I approve of the way *MOST* of the questions were asked. I feel sorry for him having to be asked questions that are meant to be understood but the 1st question seemed to be asked in clumsy way. I few Australian Senators that would be doing this in a *BETTER* way and be prompting him to *GET HIS ACT TOGETHER* . I know he's a *busy* billionaire, Although he should come prepared with *ALL THE ANSWERS* . 😲😔💻🔎💸📧🗳ℹ🇺🇸🇦🇺

Lol
He probably didn’t know if zuck was joking or not😂
I didn't get the problem with this question. It's a completely valid question and Zuckerberg said yes, we track people's internet usage even when they're logged off from our system. (edited due to Tim Green's comment below)
@@francisjohnny4556 indeed, nothing wrong when the question.
Just want to correct - Facebook doesn't share data with advertisers. They use the fact that they have the data to sell ad space on Facebook. This is sometimes referred to as "selling data", but it is not the same as sharing it.
Facebook has also had issues with third parties selling data. For example, you go to a game that wants you to log in with Facebook, and it asks you if it can access your Facebook data. This was developed as a system to allow secure and convenient log in, and it's sensible to share something like an email address when you log in with Facebook to a different site. Early versions of this were a little unclear, and allowed a lot of information to be shared, and some of those third parties have sold that data.
But Facebook has never shared data itself.
Imagine if these people were running the countr- oh wait

Well, I might have exaggerated as they may be experts and knowledgeable in other fields, though obviously technology is not one of those fields. Nevertheless, I think it remains inexcusable, they should read, research, and consult before they appear on these hearings.
Mike Alabbasi We need young people who actually are up to date with everything that’s been going on politically and technologically wise instead of these old farts who think they know better because they’re older
Anakin Skywalker agree. in all aspects of government...
This was painful to watch. You cant teach an old dog new tricks...
Awesome but you can put them down
Actually, you can.
Awesome , to be honest, this video is crap as there were at least two questions that were plain clever and purely formal to an attitude of most importance in acquiring good full Data: Socratic dialogue. But what would and old dog like you understand about it.
As an example: How do you earn money? Very good question. Wannabe clever people will think, so obvious they earn it with ads. But really clever people will think, for what exactly do adds pay you? What do you offer? And if this does not ring a bell for you or helps you to follow the thought, well, you may be a very old dog.
Awesome Actually you can. Assuming that the old dog has a mindset above a two year old toddler.
Andrea Vitale He offers a big amount of people, ads dont care who they are shown to, youtube shows the same ads to everyone, Facebook Shows ads that have specific criteria to specific people. You are 25-35 Years old? Here are your ads about Engagement Rings and Babies. You are a 50+ man? Here are your anti bald Shampoo ads. People who know how the Internet works dont ask such questions.
This is why you need more in-the-know people in these positions. Whether they are younger or not. I am amazed at how many of them don't understand how the Internet works.

ZUCC Vs. Retirement Home
Dank Bleach lmao so true
And you think the retired community aren’t on or not use Facebook? What else do you think is the point of such public questioning? Give answers to a bunch of tech geeks who already knew the answers? Do you know how many old veterans or alumni or collectors groups are on FB for example and what’s the average age of them? Give the average folk who aren’t necessarily knowledgeable in the subject matter accountable answers in a controversy, that’s the whole point of a public hearing. Ever thought about that?
If he needs to get into the details to provide the proper context to account for his company's wrongdoing, so be it. Teacher or not, that's your choice of words. Otherwise, it is what it is. What logical or legitimate reason you have to take for granted the whole world should "know" Facebook from top to bottom anyway?
If you don't even use it why are you even making comments about what users supposedly should know and not know about Facebook. Technology is here precisely because people are busy. And busy people don't pay attention to the level of details beyond their daily use of the technology itself precisely because they know there is such thing as corporate responsibility which companies owe users. In this case Facebook is found questionable whether they have fulfilled that responsible and hence Zuckerberg needs to account for every detail of how his product might or might not have affected people who don't necessarily possess the level of technology knowledge condescending tech geeks think people should possess. It's all very straight forward really. What part of this do you still not comprehend?
H2X2E2532 Facebook literally did nothing wrong. Read the terms of service if you're so concerned about your privacy, you can't have it both ways and be too lazy to read through what you're signing up to but complain that they didn't tell you.

But at least they have some information(common sense while internet surrounds you imo)
These senators are just so disconnected from the technology that their questions sound ridiculous to younger generations.
Fishers Dad they must have been so confused
>Yfw all these senators know hardball questions.
>Yfw they ask stupid questions because Facebook and Zuckerberg donates money too conservative and democratic candidates.
0:42 “That’s not what I’m asking”
I mean, it pretty much is.
At 0:23 the second questions he's asking is true, it's yes.
Once I was talking to my friend in whatsapp about computers motherboard, I didn't even search or type motherboard on any websites.
After a while I was scrolling through facebook and i saw ads of motherboard, and even on instagram too, now it's showing ads about computers motherboard.
Whatsapp use to earn money by reading our chats and split some information to the ad platforms.
Mark Zuckerberg didn't get that questions or he doesn't want to answer.
Famous line “senator I do understand” lol
This is me every day at work LOL
The old guy must be thinking is it the chocolate cookies, that Zuckerberg is talking about🤔
Sushant Chaudhari no, he is old it would be oatmeal raisin cookies
Earla Weese chill bruh
Lmao
@@earlaweese i wouldn't be so sure about that...

I love Mark. He's calm, cool, and collected. I think he's trying not to laugh. The background music is hysterical.
he's also a reptile
soon we will all bow before the Great Reptile God Mark Zuckerbot
Very squishy reptile
@@zulioner7880 dont trust that man
@@evanmedi6144 eh, I think he's an android
Here again because of congress with Tiktok, and I see that crazy eyebrow lady again, still outraged and out of her mind
I wished Mark didn't take it too seriously and just laugh every time they spoke XD
Senator: Can facebook see my porn history?
Mark:..........Yes
qualivia no, but Google can
Krasnoiark I know but Senators don't :)
Lmao
Fat blonde lesbians lol
your network provider can
When did WhatsApp introduce email features....🤣
2:11 that “in theory...” gets me everytime lmao
here i can’t hear the music, can you higher it up?
"Could you share my data?" I wish Mark had said, "Uh, sure. Your bank could share your data, too. Your credit card numbers, your SSN, your mother's maiden name. Sure. We might share what you ate for lunch…but only if you shared it first."
Oh god, very true
I swear I was dying at these interviews. You should only be worried about privacy if you share your SSN, birthday, and home address on Facebook like wth
ohmynoun lol can you share data? wtf 😂
Maybe political views as well? Lets not pretend that Facebook is innocent here, they do the same shit as banks, just as you pointes out. Maybe even worse.
Probably would have had Sorkin wrote it.
those questions were relevant to non techie persons only
they should hire some people who know little bit about technology and politics
My Android We should think about putting a few of those people in Congress.
I have said that they should have had some tech advisors for this to help them ask the right questions and push for the right answers, instead of having a room of people that wouldn’t be able to point to their router asking him
But then Zucc would not get away easily, and we love Mark, so why would we do that? : ^)
Crow Bear amen to that
are you talking about zuckerberg not knowing things about his own company? they should hire someone, why did he even testify if he can't answer questions about his own company
Ideal background music for that video. 😁😆
This reminds me of my grandmother who put different colored pieces of tape on the buttons of her cell phone, so that she would know which one is for answering and which one is for hanging up.
Mr. Zuckerford, I'm asking you about complex data tracking and you insult my intelligence talking about cookies?
"There is nothing to insult"
@@Cyber_Akuma
or to put it more subtile:
"Senator, I'd never do that, how could I...!"
Kennedy: since you can see my search history how do you control what I see?
Zuckerberg: I am Facebook not google and I can’t see anything in your history.
Kennedy: that’s not what I’m asking.
Imagine this
Well, that is a lie. Any website with JavaScript privileges can see at least part of your history if it wants.
And Facebook have their buttons on all kinds of web sites, too, so they can see whenever you are on one of those.
But they don't see what you are looking for on Google, unless one of the search results is on Facebook and you follow it.
Or if you went in any way from Google to Facebook within the same session, even if typing it in directly.
But yes, that is not the same as having your entire search history.
Screw the ads
