Not bad, 543hp with no fuel pressure. Get that pressure fixed it’ll be over 600 for sure. I think you guys should do hand written notes on whatever you can find, expired Bed Bath & Beyond coupons, Starbucks receipts etc.😂
That was an important dyno day, the Monte would've hurt a piston otherwise when you went to play with it hard, saved a bottom end rebuild right there!!! Having a live wideband to watch can also be very handy when making power so maybe you can lift in time to save some pistons!

Switched from auto to Tremec manual in one of our S10's and never looked back. Gained 50 h.p. to the tires so proof of less parasitic loss! This is on a 600 h.p. N.A. motor engine dynoed. Truck runs low 10's with a carburetor.
Your on the right track there no sense if your going to fix the wiring you might as well put a good pump in it, love that Monte everything about it is awesome. Mitchell, I know you try to provide a lot variety to your content. I'm a NASCAR fan and can appreciate your nod to NASCAR and the legends. But I have to tell you, I'm much more interested in your build projects and anxiously await the next videos on your builds. I also miss your drag videos. There is a lot of NASCAR material out there, but only one vlogger making videos about a MC build, the LSXCALADE, Uncle Rob, and a nasty moldy Rolls Royce. Love these videos!
The truth is lately I haven’t enjoyed turning wrenches like I used to. It feels like a chore when it used to feel like an escape. I use the cheap digital volt meters from amazon. The ones that mount in the cigarette lighter hole. hook one to the fuel pump wires. Put a camera on it and go for a ride. You can put one on each end of the wire to check volt drop.

I'm old so the first thing you did to s Buick Grand National was put a relay with a10 gauge wire from the front to tank Detwiler made it ideal that plugged into the back of the alternator when the boost rolled n it would go from 15 to 16 volts🙂🙂🙂🙂 smart man he's was !! would would gain 15 or 20 % in fueling we didn't have everything is done by prom chip and fuel pressure and you turned a lot by fuel pressure
Most A body cars are at most roughly 3800 lbs and at the lightest roughly 3500 stock. They are large cars but not really heavy cars. They didn't get heavy until all the safety stuff started getting added in 75. There's a ton of open empty space between the frame rails of a lot of pre 75 cars.
I have always gone by, if you change and upgrade your pump always add a relay harness as well. Because the factory pump wiring is not near enough power or amps for that pump with what it draws

However, at the same token, with 237k subscribers, I guess you don't have to prove yourself to me !!! BTW...those old school headlights are known as sealed beams...LMAO !!!! I think that's what it's called, on some of the earlier videos, he would advertise your t shirts he bought from you and in some messages he says how you inspired him to do what his doing. I thought you all were friends until he told me he didn't know you. Go and give him a thumbs up, but only if you like his video. I had similar issues with my tanks inc and 400lph walbro pump. It would have fuel starvation issues. I also ended up upgrading my wiring to a 10ga wire and i would have to keep the tank at 3/4 or full. Especially at the track. Anything less and on launch the fuel slosh would cause starvation. Turns out the tanks inc tanks aren’t properly baffled for efi as advertised. I ended up installing a fuel cell with a in tank holley fuel pump module and a new 400lph pump problem solved. Now this may sound dumb but what was your fuel level at during the dyno session, speaking from my experience…
It wasn’t a full tank I know that. Thanks for the information that’s helpful. We will change the pump upgrade the wiring and make sure it’s full full next time we hit the dyno 😂

When you get all your bugs worked out this beast will be a low 10, possibly a high 9 second land yacht. Easy 630rwhp to 650rwhp combo. I’ll be more than happy to share my tune file (hptuners) if there’s any data you can use off it.
Finally another vid on something in the fleet. I’m sure you probably do good on them but ifs it’s not about one of your rides I skip the video and wait for 1

It’s not factory though. It came with the aftermarket stand-alone harness so I never thought anything of it

Hey making progress slowly, question for you I got a 03 Denali with a 6.0 and 4l65e trans will a 80 hook up to my factory harness or what I got to do, it just started slipping
Hope you get a restock of the ICT shirts in XL soon with the OG GMC front. I happen to be building this truck as well.
We don’t have any plans to re stock those at the moment
