The Subaru rally cars have over 260k worth of upgrades done to them compared to a stock sti they make from factory, what we can buy is meant for the road
Thank you for actually showing what the wrx was really made for. Im tired of seeing the other wrx owners turning this car into some type of street car with them lowering it to trying to get more horspower or torque so they can go fast on a straightaway. Keep up the vids man hopefully you can show more people what the wrx is capable off road.
@Midnight Dreary it's not a rally car. Subaru hasn't been in rally for a long time. I own a wrx. It's a street car dont be silly. Street tires, no racing equipment, it's not a rally car.
this is what subarus are made for.... I've done some fast off road driving but this gets me I can't wait to get me a sti. even if I don't rally this fast I definitely plan on some off road adventures
WRX in it's natural habitat yes. But very dangerous. No harness or roll cage, still has the air bags in the car. No neck/head restraint or co-driver directing you through the corners. But we roll the dice for quality content.
A beast in its natural habitat... saddly without proper underside covers it gets trashed after a few runs. So if i was going to do that i would istall underside covering pans to protect it.
Using Subaru like it should be done. Thank you for that. Thank you guys for using this car and not treat it like just a collector item. Makes me so happy when I see people on rally courses or on a track
Everyone says it's fake, but I think it's the frame rates in the end are higher causing it to look choppy and quicker. Especially since at 2:05 it cuts to another clip. He's also using what I think is a gopro which is wide angle lens making it look like you are going faster then you really are. Also I have a stock 2016 sti and the engine sounds with the rate the engine accelerates through each gear are spot on. If you look at his other videos he's a very skilled driver! Props to this Gent!
I've played dirt rally and I can't tell you how many times I've practically died hitting a tree, miscellaneous rock or falling off a cliff. Props to you, man.
The whole 10 seconds after 1:55 makes me believe this is sped up bc of the steering wheel movement. Also the sound is higher pitched then what Im used to with this car.
Let’s just hope they bring it back, do Mitsubishi even do any sedans any more? I’d love to see them, all they sell is SUVs and a hatchback in Australia.
Sounds bloody fantastic. Turbo whistle and all that. In the UK there are a still a lot of nearly new examples with low miles for sale, and I dont do many miles, only 11 mile round trip commute, but boy would it be fun driving to work and parking one of these in the office car park. This would be a superb car to own, id keep it for years. I know running costs can be high but its all relative and depends what you wish to do with your disposable income, I dont go on expensive holidays etc or piss my money away down the pub, so id rather spend it on something like this to enjoy.
Awesome drive man ! For you guys that take your Subie home , I suggest getting primitive racing’s rally skid plate to protect your headers / oil pan 🥰🥰
Samir! Samir you are going to break the car! In all seriousness respect for not babying it and keeping it off every speedbump in town, driving how it how you want and how its origin was meant to be driven is respect worthy in itself.
Love the video man! Thanks for the vid. Finally saw a WRX video ripping thru its home. So frustrated to guys just making it faster on street and highways. Cool vid man! Drive it like you stole it!
Much respect brothe for 1) taking a new sti thats worth $65,000 Aussie dollars which is $49,576 USD out for a bash around the tracks 😃 2) mad skills brother you done really well dont worrie I was watching mate trying to spot one stuff up but nah you nailed it brother my hat goes off to you bro for having the balls to do that as you know 1 stuff up your off in to the trees with no insurance which is the most nerve racking thing about the whole video
I know I'm late to the game but that's a bad ass little rally stage! I hope since then you've become a bit more relaxed while you're hitting it. Your gas/brake areas seem pretty good. I just got a 2009 WRX (slightly modded) a month ago and I'm really looking forward to hitting some killer stages soon. Keep that shit up.
Nice driving there bro. Some questions. 1) Is ABS and traction on? 2) What do you feel the break balance is (more rear/front biased)? 3) Based on the overall stability and wheel ratio, do you feel this car is easy to slide and control while drifting? Thanks a lot
thank man. your questions: 1) the car is series, so ABS on and traction OFF 2) the brake balance is definitely more front biased allowing to work with rear of the car when braking and making it lighter 3) the car has huge traction, the setting has to be open diff and preferred rear axle. It is much more difficult to control in drift that rwd.
thanks for your response. I consider buying this one, and I'm a huge fan of rallying, so I'd like to have some fun like you do :). Best wishes to you my friend.
I bought at wrx sport (non sti) last year. My first idea was to ride exactly like that. I drive 25km of little dirt roads to work every morning. I tell you, once you own the car it is much more difficult to beat it in the gravel like that. Shit is expensive to fix and it is very hard on the car. Don't get me wrong, I've done it but only once or twice. Doing this regularly destroys a car. I keep that kind of driving for winter like right now. Snow is much mor fun too.
Respect for taking the beast to its home

@@operatorgaming1669 I’m saying the actually car Subaru rallies has over 260k into it they aren’t close to the same car you get from factory
@@griffin_kith6214 these cars are street legal rally cars. Meaning they’re still rally cars just they can be legally driven.
I drive my WRX pretty hard, every drive. I just realized that I’ve been babying it after watching this dude mob like this. I stand humbled.
Same although I got my 18 sti like 3 weeks ago 😄

thanks! this is the type of roads the STI is made for, you are right! It works its best on this setup.
I'm agree with you!

Many blind turns, no visibility, a few bikes ahead would been dead. But SURELY it was a closed road.
agreed, but now that he’s done it i’m happy to watch.
Hes clearly driven this sprint more than a few times to drive that fast with no codriver

you should watch how insanely fast they steer in real rally, you're lost kid, it's real

I'm possibly getting a 2004 wrx sti and if I do, I'm gonna make it a rally boi. An off-road beast.
