It sucks to hear that Maven has so much chronic pain & had that terrible experience with that guy trespassing and pointing the gun. Totally transparent and a great speaker in every video. Can't wait to see more, Maven!
This shows just how amazing Maven is. I actually remember reading a "what are WWE wrestlers like in real life" Reddit post & someone mentioned meeting Maven when he was a bouncer. The commentor said Maven seemed to not want to talk about wrestling and seemed jaded/angry. So, for Maven to bring this out to the open on his own and to apologise for it shows how big of a person he is. Love your content Mave, thank you for entertaining us, and of course we are not always at our best ❤

I've really grown to appreciate this channel. The insight and the humility is top tier. Congratulations to you maven and hope your channel grows exponentially.
This is the most real content. It would be nice if WWE could give Maven a part time role, he clearly is still passionate about pro-wrestling, and he’s winning over everyone with his honesty.
Damn, the guy trespassing and pointing the gun at him is what really got me, made me mad honestly. To have someone threaten you and someone you love in that way, that would drive me in the wrong direction. I’d just want to find out who he was and return the favor. Hope you feel a little more safe nowadays, Maven.
@@MillyBitchellAnd you made this determination based on what? Does Maven have a history of telling fake stories? As the other guy said does he stand to gain in some way by lying? He said his ex girlfriend was with him so why would he make up a story that his ex could clearly debunk? And lastly would you tell him this to his face?
@@neneshubby because this is the first time anyone has heard this story, and it’s a sketchy story. Some guy shows up to threaten him with a gun, doesn’t take anything, and tells him he could kill him whenever he wants? Sounds very unlikely. Maven, your likeability stock has just gone through the roof. I was really moved by your personal experiences. Very brave of you to relive them for our sake. Respect!
The growth of this channel has been crazy. Maven got to a silver play button with less than 20 videos. Already has over 8 million views. That's some serious growth. Good for you, maven. I am really enjoying the content.
Hey maven! I fully understand the last part of your list. I was a former powerlifter that was able to bench 425 and squat and deadlift 610. I injured my left shoulder twice and it’s probably never going to ever be the same. I’m in a lot of pain and being in healthcare now, it doesn’t seem to help. Although my spine is currently okay, I can only imagine what you’re going through. Thanks a bunch for your amazing content!
Maven, I grew up in England with the attitude era as my grand introduction into the world of professional wrestling; watching the likes of Austin, Rock, Mankind; hell, even Vince winning the title. Yet I remember you eliminating The Undertaker from the rumble as if it were yesterday. For someone to undergo a radical transformation from rookie to being forever etched into wrestling history with one move was awesome. Here we are all these years later and I'm hearing the tales you tell, the experiences you've shared with countless others, the highs and the lows. Your honesty and willingness to be open about everything that your career entailed is downright refreshing. I'm sure a lot of us have watched interviews/ documentaries about in ring careers and life on the road; but your take and general outlook on the whole thing is amazing. Keep providing us with this amazing content and insight into the world of a vastly underrated performer.
The funny thing is that after Maven eliminated him, Taker took Maven out of the ring but he didn't go over the top rope... meaning that Maven was never eliminated from the Royal Rumble. Based on that the match never ended that night, as Triple H wasn't eliminated either. One of them must have gone over the top rope at some time in a subsequent match though... It is possible that Maven was in fact the real winner.
Hey Maven. I've said it already but you are doing an amazing job with your RUclips videos. Just your outgoing personality alone is enough to attract viewers. I can definitely tell that you are truly an amazing person. From your accent to the way you present yourself are just awesome. You are going to have a long and illustrious career here on RUclips. I'm really enjoying your channel. Thank you for opening up and sharing. I suspected it was a different and difficult life. Kudos to you for following your dream.
Listening to Maven discuss his pain struggles opened my eyes to what Jeff Hardy (When he retires), Shawn Michaels, Edge (when he retires completely), and Undertaker most likely experience every day. I simply couldn't imagine going through life with that level of discomfort and pain.
In a world where we seemingly have faaar too many wrestling personalities with their own Podcasts… Your channel is one of the few that are very pleasant and awesome to watch and listen to. Your stories. Your experiences. Not some weird anecdotes or personal opinions on the current state of the business. Thank you sir! Look forward to the next video every time.
It’s awesome to see you still doing good and looking healthy! So glad to see you taking your talents from pro wrestling to being a RUclips content creator! You’re a natural.
Hearing about the long term injuries of wrestling are heartbreaking. Makes me glad I got into personal training and focusing on knee, shoulder and back pain. Keep strong Maven 💪🏽
I am dealing with the same exact pain and bulging/ herniated discs in the same regions of my neck and much like your experience it came out of nowhere like a, "slap in the face" and it also came in at the exact same time yours did, back in '17. Living everyday struggling to get out of bed in the morning really affects quality of life so I can sympathize with you there, brother. But knowing I have a family to provide for is what makes me push through it, and I have a very low pain tolerance. If you had a specific routine or exercise or stretch you do that alleviates some of that horrible pain I'd appreciate your advice, man. I used to watch you back in the day as a kid, I still even have your action figure somewhere in my old things.

I remember seeing Maven on HSN. I never got to see Maven as a kid on TV wrestling or in person because I was probably too young to remember or attend shows. My first exposure to Maven as wrestler was a few years ago when I watched New Years Revolution 2005. It’s weird how people you’ve never met end up being a part of your life no matter how small. Now I’ve watched all of your videos and I’ve been subscribed since the beginning of your RUclips journey. I can’t wait to see more. Very insightful stuff!!

Living with chronic pain is no joke. I totally understand Maven. Brother, I take 55+ pills a day due to my injuries from my military service. Do I have friends & family supporting me like my doctors keep thinking I do?! Oh, HELL NO!! I thank God for my beautiful and supportive wife!!! When you described your pain, I felt it. It’s what I go through daily. It’s been non-stop for me for at least: about 17-18 years now. I feel you. I feel bad I stopped watching WWE while you were on because I was deployed, but I’m learning a lot and enjoying your content. Thank you; thank you very much.
Despite all of the difficulties that came from being a WWE wrestler, at least you're the first ever winner of Tough Enough. The man who eliminated Undertaker from the Royal Rumble 02, and got beat up by him, you're a former Hardcore champion, and almost won the World championship from Triple H etc. So nobody could take that away from you, you made your mark Maven !!
I’m not surprised you’re subscriber count is rising! Very well spoken and intelligent, haven’t aged a bit! The videos are so well edited! See you at a million Maven!

Bruh i knew it was a matter of time before Maven was killing it on the sponsor game … you got a voice and Charisma that would pay a lot money … good to see u cashing in champ
I understand your Point #5 Maven!! When I became a soldier in the Air Force and then retired due to my injuries, EVERYONE WANTED a piece of me; NOT to ask how I’m doing. My BASTARD “friends” whom I grew up with AND family whom I THOUGHT “loved” me JUST ASKED AND KEPT ON ASKING ME for MORE than 20 years: “How much money are you making, or Is the military STILL “GIVING” you money (and how much)?” I ended up cutting everyone out of my life. Should’ve done it faster. It would’ve saved me years of heartbreak and tens of thousands of dollars!!! I would NOT be budgeting everything; instead of paying off THEIR houses WITHOUT a thank you AND they TREATED ME LIKE CRAP THEREAFTER!!! Family??? There is no such word!!!

Thank you for the years of entertainment during my teenage years Maven (and also now in my adulthood too!)
Ric Flair said in an interview last month thats he's actually in very little physically pain. He said he doesnt even know why because he's taken a lot of bumps.

It sucks to hear that Maven has so much chronic pain & had that terrible experience with that guy trespassing and pointing the gun. Totally transparent and a great speaker in every video. Can't wait to see more, Maven!
@lilwoodiewood3457 depends if you got charisma bro.
Man. Broke my heart hearing you say you might not make it past 65. Really love these videos since you came on RUclips. Gives a great perspective on the other side of the ring! Thank you Maven!
He needs to have confidence in his durability, mmmkay.
Roddy Piper said he wouldn't make 65 too.
He died at 61.
Thanks!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 thank you for the gift! Means so much that helped us continue this journey. We will try to keep making you smile.
You're a great dude Maven. Love how humble you remained after all you have been through in life.. a lot of past wrestlers became miserable and bitter but its great to see how positive you still are.
The things wrestlers put themselves through just to entertain us is crazy. Props to you Maven!
Quickly becoming one of my favorite channels to watch!
Chad.
Such kind words and such a thoughtful gift. That GENEROUS amount will be put to use to help become YOUR FAVORITE! Lol… appreciate it brotha. Take care
I've really grown to appreciate this channel. The insight and the humility is top tier. Congratulations to you maven and hope your channel grows exponentially.
Maven is undoubtedly the best wrestling RUclipsr right now
😊 yes he is
You're literally the only channel that I don't skip the little ad for cause you put it in so cleverly
Maven’s RUclips content is really a breath of fresh air. Watching this while working!
I suspect that was a fake story. Love the guy, but that was fake as hell haha
@@MillyBitchellyeah he has nothing to gain by making up such a story on a RUclips channel
Probably someone that knows him.
@@neneshubby because this is the first time anyone has heard this story, and it’s a sketchy story. Some guy shows up to threaten him with a gun, doesn’t take anything, and tells him he could kill him whenever he wants? Sounds very unlikely. If this really happened, it would have been a major story in the news or dirt sheets.
This is not the channel we asked for ..but it’s the channel we NEEDED …Maven and Stevie Richards are RUclips GOLD right now..
Maven I'm sorry to hear how hard things were fof you in 2013, I had a bad period of time in the same time, relationship ended, lost my job, had to move, glad you got there and are doing better now, it's always tough but great getting through the other side.
I hope the world is treating you well these days my friend
The reason RUclips exists .. quality videos like this …love watching
Maven, your likeability stock has just gone through the roof. I was really moved by your personal experiences. Very brave of you to relive them for our sake. Respect!
Yes he just tells it how it is without filter but with his charismatic way of expressing himself. Super interesting vids on his channel
Damn!!! Thanks for sharing! I hope you find relief. Stretching has made all the difference in my life
Maven, I grew up in England with the attitude era as my grand introduction into the world of professional wrestling; watching the likes of Austin, Rock, Mankind; hell, even Vince winning the title. Keep providing us with this amazing content and insight into the world of a vastly underrated performer.
vince shouldve won more titles
Again you were always extremely fun to watch back then and even more so now. Keep up the incredible work Maven and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Can vouch for Maven being happy that you come up to him. We used to work on the same floor earlier this year until July and we got to speak a couple times. He was very friendly. I tend to not want to bother public figures as a NYer but when you see Maven all the time while you’re both working, you gotta say hi eventually. Was great to meet you Maven. Hope things are still going well at the place you’re working at. Be well.
Maven, I gotta say your channel has been a revelation to the wrestling industry! I look forward to hearing more and more every week. I also love the positivity despite the many after-effects. Hope you keep doing well for yourself!
I honestly find your stories amazing, and the way that you're telling them is really showing that no matter how hard life is one can get through it. Trust me you could talk about anything and get people interested
Love your content Maven, i remember reading about you being a doorman but to hear it from your mouth and say you were embarrassed (which you shouldn't be) really hit me and shows just how much your life can change. Wishing you all the best.
And Maven's career was short / not that hardcore. People like Mick Foley or Terry Funk (RIP) absolutely wrecked their bodies for our entertainment.
4:58 Wait, what? Did that for real happen? Why is no one talking about this one. This is really scary. Did anything happen afterward?
My favorite part of every Friday other than the prospect of the weekend...an upload from The Mave. Love em' brother 💪
I'm so proud that I followed Maven yt channel since day one, from small amount of subscribers to 100k and now a sponsored video. Cheers to Maven!
In a world where we seemingly have faaar too many wrestling personalities with their own Podcasts…
Your channel is one of the few that are very pleasant and awesome to watch and listen to.
I can't imagine how hard it was for you maven to loose your privacy and I'm glad that you have dealt with your addiction
loose & lose really be kicking y'all ass 😂😂😂
Thankfully Surfshark saved his privacy

If one RUclipsr deserves to start getting sponsored it’s Maven. He genuinely comes across as an honest down to earth guy. His channel has blew up. The same as his wwf/wwe career should have. Well done mave 🎉
And props to his editor. Absolutely top notch
uhhh no why are u so entitled if only one youtuber got sponsers it should bee the one who geets the most views that would mak sense why should company only go to the smaller guy that makes no sense u dont know how marketing works
Dude your killing it on here. I vaguely remember you from watching WWE when i was younger, i cant believe they let you go because you are a great talker and front man. Come across as very articulate, i can only assume you have refined all of this since leaving but man if i were them id be trying to get you back on board. Great job, love your content
I glad Maven you’ve become a RUclipsr. You makes videos about your own experiences in the WWE when you were there. You give insight to not only fans but people who may not be wrestling fan, you also make the information digestible. Plus your voice has this tone where you speak clearly and it’s easy to understand. Maven getting that silver play button after being a RUclipsr for barely two months. Well deserved!
Maven is absolutely skyrocketing to success with his RUclips channel. This man is pure class.

I didnt watch a ton of wrestling during the time you were in but I am very aware which is what initially brought me to this channel. Getting to know you, watching your videos and interviews recently, you seem like a really stand up guy. I appreciate your honesty and willingness to explain things so well.
I remember I was walking around in NYC and I just so happened to pass by that nightclub you mentioned and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw you sitting outside I was unexpectedly starstruck. I was a huge fan of yours and I when I addressed you you shook my hand and asked what my name was. I think I mentioned i had your action figure and feeling embarrassed and regretted saying that lol. It was a really great interaction and it made my night and made like you even more. You're such a genuine man.
Been loving all your content, Maven.
You know you made it big when companies start using your channel for promoting. Might I add, it was the best transition I’ve seen on a video in a long time. Congrats on the success!
Just had to talk about your mom man. Made me cry and call mine. I’m in the hospital 51 days now with broken tibia and fibs plus fascoitomie on each calf. Just wanted to tell her I love her. Thank you Maven.

Thanks for addressing the incident where you worked as a bouncer and a fan got a terrible interaction. I saw the comment on one of your previous videos, as I’ve been bingeing on most of them since coming across your channel in the past week. You’re a pretty cool dude!
That transition from sponsorship back to video goes to show how of an incredible storyteller he is! It would be so interesting to see them on mic without having the creative control by WWE once in a while!
This is 1:52 the best podcast I have listened to outside of “Moefactz” Maven, you have made all my years obsessed with wrestling come full circle. I genuinely believe that this podcast is as valuable as a $5000 a semester college course. Thank you for your service!
