I just started using grass seed litter for our 3 cats. We've been using it now for a couple weeks. Aside from the fact that yes it does have tracking, I love the stuff. It clumps really well, it controls litter box odors and is healthier for the environment. I'll continue buying. So much better than clay.

The grass litter from sophresh is my favorite so far! It’s extreme clumping saves so much litter

I currently use Petsmart's Equisicat brand of litter. I've tried their paper crumbles & pellet(not a fan of either) I use their pine crumbles.. My cat doesn't use the box with the paper litter. He likes the pine crumble, soft on the paws. I use Chewy's Frisco grass litter and the big guy likes that. I think all litter tracks no matter what, using a good litter rug helps. In the end it is what the cat uses consistently. I haven't had any issues with bugs in the grass litter. I was going to try the Tuff & Paw litter until I saw the price. Thanks for the videos.

We use grass litter with our cat. We only have 1. We use a litter mat and his litter box is a top opening. It does track around the room it is in a bit but I have never found it anywhere else. We clean/vacuum around it about 1x per week.

Yeah I got the same sticking-to-the-sides/bottom issue from grass litter. It works fine with some litter boxes/surfaces (very very smooth ones) and can slide off quite easily, but not with some other surfaces. Adding some Sustainably Yours definitely helps. I recently tried A&H clump&seal and found them (A&H and grass litter) quite similar - dustless, lots of tracking, sticking to the sides, moist after scraping from sides, etc. I love those litters for their dustlessness, but would love to have less tracking and more absorption, or other great litters could have as little dust as they do. It's so hard to find the perfect litter!

I appreciate all these litter reviews! My elderly cat gets terrible asthma attacks every time she uses the box, I have been using Pidan Tofu litter and am looking to switch. I had to get an asthma pump for my cat. After numerous visits to the veterinary and nothing working I just recently realized it's connected to the litter! I am trying the pine pellets but my cats won't touch it lol. I might try worlds best cat litter again and see if that helps with asthma attacks. I watched all your litter reviews last night =)

I got my 2 cats 5 years ago and I have only used grass litter, but a different brand. The tracking is really the only issue I have with the grass litter as it gets between their toebeans and on their paw tufts. I don't have the spreading/sticking of urine clumps as an issue. Maybe that's because I keep the litter about 5 inches deep in box?
I would never go back to clay. Aside from the environmently issues, clay is heavy! We can only dispose of used litter here every 2 weeks and it's a long driveway to haul it down for pickup. ☹️

Out of all the non clay clumping litters this one was the best. It clumped excellent and no issues with odor. But the one main issue I had was tracking. I have 5 cats. Three litter boxes scooped daily with litter mats. This tracked all over the place. The seeds are large enough to see them all over the floors in every room and you could feel it on our feet. If not for the tracking I would have kept using this. Maybe one cat wouldn’t be an issue but with several it’s just too much.

  • @cali_love5977

What I’m confused about and maybe somebody can chime in. Is I have one kitten that six months old and the litters that I’ve bought have been the world best in the crystals and I go through a whole bag of crystals 8 pounds every 17 days.
But I hear other people talk about a bag of litters gonna last months and I just never experienced that. I don’t know if this depends on the cat or if it’s a litter or if there’s something I’m missing. I’m a first time cat Mom.

It's fine if they eat some, it's just grass and will pass through their system. It can't cause a blockage like with clay.
