    Omg how did I never think of booking a temporary Southwest flight so I can go to a lounge on arrival? 😂😂😂 that’s so freaking genius, though borderline questionable on the ethics side 😅
    Super relatable episode as I just got back too with my mom. Serena, you’re hilarious with your stories. I love it.

      We bet many people in the lounges are doing the same thing. 😅 Welcome back! We would love to know if you had any mom drama on your trip. 😂

    Omg I can’t believe you had to bus your own dishes! Your parents are funny!! I always travel with ziplock bags too. I’m flying KLM next month I think on a newer aircraft. Bummer the lounge is lame. I am excited to get another Delft Blue house though. So tik tok says that the men in Vienna are really hot, so it’s on my list. 🤣

    KLM new configuration with the doors…feels very claustrophobic! I prefer the 2-2-2 configuration

    • @LetsGetToThePoints
      @LetsGetToThePoints  6 месяцев назад

      Wow! This reinforces what Serena's dad thought with 2-2-2 as he felt it was very spacious. Thanks for your feedback! It sounds like you have multiple Delft blue houses. :)

    “Dmv” reference was hilarious! Question, for q suites to asia from USA: itsnt it like 78k with a connection/stopover (doha) to asia? Also, what asia destinations could u go with q suites other than thailand?

    • @MitchShannonLAX
      @MitchShannonLAX 6 месяцев назад

      Hi WongWayTravels! You can get Q Suites to Sin, Tokyo, MNL, and a few others. HOWEVER you want to be careful as they can aircraft swap at any time. We had this happen TWICE out of HKG. We were on a 777 with Q suites, they swapped it last minute to the 2/2/2 biz seats. Long story short we found out they do this sometimes for weight and balance and cargo. Meaning if they are taking A LOT of cargo, because the Q suites are such a heavy (weight) product, they will swap out the AC to allow more cargo and “lighten” the load by swapping down the seats on board….so just keep that in mind. Doesn’t happen all the time but something to be aware of…

    Rakuten question I have my Amex set up to get points with my purchases but when I do shopping at different retailers. Do I have to use my Amex Platinum or can I use any other card including gift cards. ?

      @LetsGetToThePoints  4 месяца назад

      Hi! You can use any card. Just make sure your Rakuten account is set up to payout in Amex points instead of cash.

    We’re going this summer in Vienna. Did Serena have to pay for the rollaway bed at Park Hyatt?

    In the Park Hyatt Vienna did they provide the beds for the kids? Is that like a roll in bed?

    • @LetsGetToThePoints
      @LetsGetToThePoints  6 месяцев назад

      That was two rollaway beds in the Park Suite in the video. There might be a capacity limit for the standard room.

    • @PassionForPoints
      @PassionForPoints 6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! I booked 2 rooms with points. They made an exception and allowed me to have my two children in the suite. Normally only 1 child is allowed. They also only allowed one rollaway in each room. When housekeeping delivered the rollaways I asked if they can both be placed in the suite and they said “sure”!

    I’m accumulating points via credit cards, but I’m also afraid that once I use them, I’ll find a better experience that I could have had instead - how do you get through it / dilemmas like that?

    • @LetsGetToThePoints
      @LetsGetToThePoints  6 дней назад +1

      With points and miles, we can always go back and do it another way. It’s worth doing thorough research ahead of time so you’re confident in making the right decision. If you’re talking about award flights, each program has difference cancellations fees. Some higher than others. You can be conscious of this when booking.

    35:10 Miguel mentions that you can only do Hyatt Status challenge every 3 years. i did a 20 night status challenge in 2022 which i completed and had globalist for 2023, then in 2023 i completed the bilt status challenge (i think it was 2023?) which gives me globalist until February 2025. does this mean i cant do a status challenge this year (if one comes around?) because of the 20 night status challenge i did in 2022
    and also for Miguel- i stayed at that exact Hyatt regency in tokyo as well it was a beautiful property with huge chandeliers. a bit quiet. but there is a shuttle that is inexpensive right from the airport all the way to the hyatt regency. it cost me about 27$ USD last year. you can get the tickets inside the airport. quick tip. also you have the train station right under the property so that is convenient.

    • @TravelSergeant
      @TravelSergeant 6 месяцев назад

      Hi Adrian, the Bilt status challenge was not part of their normal "Corporate Status Challenge" so it was possible to do both... if you did the Corporate challenge in 2022, you might not be eligible but it's still worth trying since a lot of these promos are YMMV...
      Thanks for the shuttle tips! There will be five of us traveling so I'll have to do a cost comparison to see what works out best
