  • Recently I bought the Ravin R10 crossbow and got it set up, sighted in, tested out and more. I thought I would share this process as most 'reviews' I could find were bow shops or people just talking about them with little detail. Since I bought this crossbow on my own, with my own hard earned cash, you will get some good info and a great initial review! It took my only 3 shots to get it sighted in at 20 yards. Then after sighting in at 50 I put it through lots of test shooting between 30 and 80 yards. I also tested out the Thorn HPX expandable crossbow broadhead, and man did it shoot fantastic! Please hit the like button and share this video if you enjoyed it, thank you! Also subscribe if you'd like to follow the action with some hunts with my new Ravin R10, as well as follow all of our land management projects, deer habitat and food plotting, watering holes, duck ponds, tractors, excavators, our new Kentucky farm rehab and much more country living adventures. I really enjoyed your video you did a very good job on explaining the details of the Ravin Crossbow
    and especially taking the time to show how well the crossbow shots keep up the good work.

    Yep Kap, this is the 2nd R10 video I was hoping you'd show us. Thanks, I love the action of your R10. Those shots are tight. After all the 'Dope Changes', I think I'd maybe go 1 click to the left. Hey Ka, if I don't see a video between now and Monday, I wish you, Mrs K, and the kids a memorable Veterans Day and I wish the same to all your viewers as well. "The Few....The Proud.... " S/F

    I like this type of review. So many people just give you the showroom sales pitch with spec's. Well, I can read a pamphlet or web page. That's not helpful at all.
    I want to see repeatability, hear the noise, witness the actual environment, etc... You did all that in your review. Thank you sir!

    Very Nice. Thanks for the review.Have checked them out.Seems to be an awesome x-bow. A bit out of my price range. I am shooting a Carbon Express PD 390. Its a nice x-bow for the buck.Had a run-in with a nice buck last weekend and ended up putting my shot under him using the stock set up. I did a little bit of research and really liked the scope that comes on your Ravin. I ordered a new scope tonight. I know my 390 is capable and now I'll have a better optic to back it up. Can't wait to get it dialed in. Its tough too watch a buck with 15-16 inch g-2's keep walking after you miss.We will meet again.

    Great enthusiasm with the R10. Just bought one from Cabelas and I'm anxious to sight it in here in west Michigan. The problem is the weather. It's June 1st and already over 94 degrees which is ridiculous. Are you shooting the Raven 003 or 001 arrows? Thanks

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  Год назад

      I had the 003's and they were spot on. But then on my new R20 I was having grouping issues so I got the 001's. But we figured out it was one of the while rollers that had a tiny rough spot that was sticking a smidge. Se we tried some scent free lube and that cured it! Good luck!

    Sorry, but most women don't care about hunting and fishing or any of that stuff. I only watch if it is about your house renovation or things connected with your house. I love watching Mrs Kapper and her renovations and projects. So when I see a video on tractors, lawn mowers, hunting or fishing I never watch them. I know you do have men, also watching these videos but I would say mostly women watch them. Just saying.
