    I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well.With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings.For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance.For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.

    Dave at Wyvern Creations has the simplest video I’ve seen for explaining this process.
    SUPER easy.

    Also at 30 yards if your point of impact is below your point of aim, that means the crossbow is slower than 400fps where it was set to start. You don’t move it higher in fps, you lower feet per second on the dial. That will raise point of impact to hit where you aim. Do the opposite if you hit high. I think he got it backwards.

      I at once thought the same thing but in fact he is correct because if your dead on at 50 but low at 30 your simply on a flatter plane. Similar to sighting in a rifle. Even the ravin manual explains it this way. It seems backwards but is correct.

    after you are comfortable at using the 20 yard reticle, then move back to 20 yards?

    Ravin, a few things...ur guy says to first shoot at 20 and then move point of impact to point of aim. And then he says move back to 20 yards and do the same. Did he mean to repeat the something or say something else? Or is starting point at 20?
    Secondly - "you said after sighting at 20 yards, move back to 50, move windage and then move down to 30 and adjust the speed dial according to how the arrow hits." Ive watched other videos where they said after shooting 50 yards, to go back to 20 and then adjust speed dial. Can you please confirm if we are to move back to 20 or back to 30 yards?

    Did he misspeak and say 30 yards or are you supposed to go to thirty? I thought you went back to twenty on your last step?

    so after the scope is sited in you cant zoom in or out with the scope anymore? if its set at 400 fps your zoomed all the way in. if a deer is close you wont be able to see it in the scope...

    • @GeLeeOutdoors
      @GeLeeOutdoors Год назад

      Correct, you leave it at whichever speed the scope is set at. It’s not bad at close ranges. I’ve shot deer at 10 yards and you can still see the deer.

  • @allanbyrd532
    @allanbyrd532 Год назад +1

    Do Not move your scope from point of impact to point of aim. That is backward. Just look at the scope dial. If you hit high, you obviously want to go down. If you start out owing your reticle from the point of impact, and going down with the reticle. Look at the dial on the scope. You will be going the opposite direction.

    The R10 manual suggests at 40 yards to adjust the speed ring. The R26 manual suggests at 20 yards to move the speed ring. This video suggests at 30 yards to move the speed ring…which one is it!?

    Now you know I don't know unless that's because it's a raven scope but when I've used the speed Scopes I've always set the scope for the speed of the bow and then took a shot at 20 yards got it dead on jump back to 30 yards shoot and if the scope site was low I slowed it down if it shot High I speeded the scope bring up that's how I've always done it and this

    I'm getting conflicting instructions. Others said 50 yards than back to 20 yards. And you said 50 yards and back to 30 yards. So which is the correct way? 50 to 20 or 30 yards? And said you sight it in at 50 yards, now back at 20 yards and your point of aim is different from point of impact. You readjust to get your point of aim and point of impact, is your point of impact and aim changes at 50 yards?

    • @GeLeeOutdoors
      @GeLeeOutdoors Год назад

      The POI won’t change at 50 since 50 is the middle of the reticle. When you “zoom” or “change” the speed ring, it’ll change all other ranges besides 50.
      Think of it as the other yardages spreading and shrinking in distance.

  • @zebatov

    So you have to burn a bunch of broadheads to get it sighted for that extra weight? And then your range tips will be out?

  • @greekmaster1001
    @greekmaster1001 2 года назад +1

    Hey man I'm at the range now
    I think you making a mistake
    You suppose to move Point of AIM to the point of IMPACT you said it the opposite way

    they need to re-do this video. The directions are not correct, he said to sight in at 20, then to sight in at 20 again. then move to 50, then back to 30???? You mean back to 20?

      Dude looks like you already commented about this poor instructions a year ago and they still havent responded to you or changed their video. This is horrible bc essentially all Ravin customers can come back to them and said they put out false info! Lol. Just horrible. Guess i shouldnt expect a response from ravin

      The first aiming point of the scope is 30 yards not 20 yards so that may be where the misunderstanding is?
