I booted a man who told me a woman shouldn't ask to have her door opened or in our case - for the first class upgrade on a flight that he got when we went on a trip. he took the upgraded seat and let me sit in coach. oh no .... my father would have INSISTED my mother have the better seat. and btw this man's daughter worked for the airline and he could get upgraded anytime!! nope. done. bye bye. he's still single 4 years later.....
I didn't have a father to teach me. My mom wasn't the type to talk to me about life. I learned in my 20's God was my Father. Now I'm 46 and a single mom and am finally learning from your videos how to respect myself and know my value and how to find this right man. How to finally conduct myself. Thank you. @@pmacsmccullum1801 Listen to what they say. Men love nothing better than talking about themselves. They will tell you everything about themselves. Sometimes you have to really pay attention. A couple of years ago I had this guy who wanted to date me. I just listened to him. He actually said, he almost went to prison from throwing a burrito at his ex wife. This was like "Really" how is that I ask. he went into this goof ball story. Then the next bit of information, he said oh, I also have a DUI, so I cannot drive my car. Oh, "Really" I thought wow, he does not know he just told me all the information I needed to know about him. I processed his statements, This is what I came to, "He gets drunk and beats the shit out of women". I took a pass on him. Then his friend who was a woman, said oh he really likes you and needs a "Good Woman" to help him. I said no, I have a daughter and no need for a "fixer Upper", besides a fixer upper is a truck not a man.
I hope this helps, he was trying to be sly on what he was doing, trying to present himself as a nice guy, when he was a bad guy with abusive qualities. When people decide they want to lie to someone else, in no way is that their fault. That fault lies strictly on the person trying to deceive the other. A predator knows what they are doing, the prey does not know. It usually, takes a while to see through the lies, but if you listen carefully, and not become emotionally involved it will save you a lot of problems. Best of luck and listen with great care, there are more predators out there than good guys. I personally, have given up on finding a decent man, 11 years single and just not finding one.

Hello Pastor. I have been listening to you for some time now. I wish I had a father figure like you in my life 30 years ago. You make a
lot of valid points and I wish I would have know the material you’re teaching so that I would not be going through a divorce (right now). I had a man who displayed ALL the characteristics of a narcissist. My children were in a two parent home, yet I was the parent that was responsible for everything. After years of verbal, emotional and occasional physical abuse I decided to leave and file for divorce. This broke my heart (to file for divorce) because both of us are Christians and members of the same church. However, we were unequally yoked. I love listening to sermons and reading the bible whereas he wasn’t interested. I had warned him many times that the ENEMY is and was infiltrating our relationship. And, as the head of the household, to exercise your authority and join me in the fight in which the enemy is attacking (our family). I prayed, went to marriage counseling by myself, did spiritual warfare, and I could go on and on.
Funny thing is that since I’ve left him he often asks “why dud you leave me, anyway?” Like dude, are you serious? How far do you want me to go back?
Can someone shed some light on this situation cause I know I’m not the only one going through this.

In the past I have dated ugly guys too and they were also garbage. A good man is rare and hard to find. No matter how ugly or pretty a person is they are very similar in the way they think specially if they don't love God. God says if you love me you will obey my commandments. If they don't follow God's commandments then that person is not marriage material.

Of course we all have visual types(some of us like blondes,brunettes,tall,average build,different ethnic groups ,& etc), but upon meeting our "type", we need to analyze and discern what type of person they are,& if they aren't 1st. A good Christian, that puts God first,2nd Have a great work ethic,3rd. A great sense of compassion,& responsibility. I agree, it is difficult to meet a man who is unselfish and giving. They expect women to look after them and themselves. Men don't have to be good looking to be problematic, I have met men who are semi-attractive, intelligent, wealthy, charismatic, deep thinkers and they also seem to have many problems either stemming from their past or just that they have chosen a wayward life. Thank God I discerned their issues to prevent me from getting involved. My faith is important and so God guided me in this area. The world is full of control freaks!

He wanted to make love to me, when I said I don’t want to have sex before marriage his comment was... that’s Old Testament and besides sex is different from making love, making love is permitted before marriage! I was dating a guy who I had his back like butter on toast. I was always thinking how can I make things easier for him. Reality check was when he never asked about me and if I needed anything, we always drove my car never asked if I needed gas , I was out of a job for couple of weeks and he never asked if I needed groceries or the status of my bills. He had no problem sitting on my couch on the weekends and eating my food. Lesson learned.

I can count on one hand the number of men I have met with these good qualities. it seems like God has those men hidden. The common factor in the men that I do know with these great qualities is that they truly love the Lord. My husband who is now deceased for almost 3 yrs. he had all those good qualities a woman should look for in a man we were married for 35 years and I wanted for nothing, even when he became sick he still tried to do, we were as one. What his last words were to me his wife were: I could not have found a better person than you to have shared my life with- those words will always remain close to my heart. You spoke the truth about what a woman should look for, and I can honestly and truthfully say I found all that and more in my husband of 35 years.

I have a good man now thank God but I had to go through too much hell before I met him. Learned my lessons before I met him and let go of childish and superficial beliefs around men and then my good man arrived!! Everything the pastor said is true!!
