My greatest fear is that I'm going to study, study and more studying and then come test time I'm going to draw a blank or worse, it'll look like hieroglyphics or Chinese writing ... For the part 107 how much of this is going to be on the test or do we need to simply have a working familiarity of its existence ? I say this b/c broken cloud cover at 10,000 ft at 3AM will never be a problem for me since I'm always going to be well below 400ft. and during the day.
Hey I have a question in the winds and temperature aloft forecast table. Don't you mean 50 is subtracted from direction and 100 is added to the wind speed?
I honestly believe they made this look absolutely ridiculous with abbreviations and bunched up numbers for no reason. Almost as if someone is charging per digit and they had to cut corners lol
I believe this format was when teletype carried messages and that required the bare minimum of letters and digits. There's no reason for this format to exist, now that we have the memory and computing power to easily handle plain English weather forecasts.
the wind direction was listed as 730. If you added 50 to that it wouldve been 780 but he said wind direction is 230. Also is that a heading of 230 degrees? I'm so confused. 7hr pilot here.
"Baby Rain" for BR/Mist.. brilliant! I have a way to remember that now! Thanks!
BABY RAIN 🌧️ I'll never forget now Omg so good lol thank you for making this so clear and digestible!!!
Working on my part 107. This was very helpful. Great to be back in the cockpit with you. WAbel

How’d the test go?
This was amazing, a lot to digest. But still perfect....
Love the way you explain. Thank you!
I will recommend these to any one I know getting their ratings. Excellent videos.
The test you have to learn all of this don’t matter VFR or IFR. I use my own personal words to remember things 😂. And it works
Very helpful explanation of a TAF. Thank you.
Very helpful, thank you very much!
Just what I needed.
Great example, thank you
Excellent thanks

Thats what i thought. I was wrestling with the numbers for a minute.
A small nit on the first slide: a METAR is not a forecast. It's a report (metaR) of observed conditions.

Good work, keep it up! You’re going to give The King family a run for their money haha 😆
Thanks! Long way to go on that but the videos will keep coming in the meantime
BR must stand for "Brume"??
