This was so sick! The grit on your voice during the chorus was 👌🏼 I think you absolutely nailed the Foo Fighters sound, style, etc. Fantastic job. I grew up listening to the Foo Fighters and they were my first concert at 12 years old so I very much enjoyed this video. I really liked the in depth look at the song. This video really exceeded my expectations.
Excellent video, mate. I absolutely loved it, and don't worry about not sounding exactly like Dave 'cause you totally nailed the style. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that the unusual chord progressions come from Dave not knowing anything about music theory, let alone keys. He just puts together the chords that sound good to him and it kinda works.
thanks Daniel! I appreciate it. and you’re right! the funnest part about that is that I used my knowledge of music theory to replicate Dave’s lack of knowledge of music theory 🤣 really shows that you can get good results from either direction!
Hi Eric, very cool song!!! I'm in the process of adding some Foo Fighters vibes to our new songs myself. May I ask if you would make the SD3 preset available to your fan community?...😁 That would be extremely cool!!!
Great job! Such a beauty groove. To me the one thing that really defines the Foo Fighters is their use of octaves, especially from Chris and a lot of times all three of them.
This is an AMAZING concept. Would love to music of various rock genres like a Led Zeppelin song, a Beatles song… a Weezer song 🙃 you’ll legit go viral with this concept
The bridge it's the only part that I didn't like much, it's the FF's style but because it's mostly a copy of Best of You. The rest of the song it's AMAZING.
I really love this series, and I would really like if you tried making a Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys or The Pretty Reckless song next. Also, will this song be available on Spotify like the Green Day style song?
That was a really good!! I really enjoyed the chord modulation in the chorus (music math awesomeness), the rock and roll group fill thing 2/3rds into the song (the was so jammin) and the vox. Nice Job!
good stuff man! it really sounds like the foo fighters. your voice is also close to dave's. im also trying to write songs like them. can u tell me what are their usual chords or chord progressions? :)
Great video - I was kinda surprised about the rhythm guitar in the middle though. Wouldn't it be more typical to have the rhythm guitars panned left and right with lead guitar down the middle? (not that I'm doubting what they said on the documentary)
that definitely is more typical, but I rolled with what Dave said in the doc. but the fact that Chris and Pat are panned left and right respectively makes the mix balanced. Dave's guitar in the middle kinda acts like a second bass guitar, in my opinion. just holding down the rhythm along with the drums.
Rip taylor I was also supposed to see them this June but when I wrote riffs they usally sound like the foo fighters so I’m gonna write a song for Taylor

hell yeah, thank you so much! I appreciate the in-depth feedback. can I ask how you found this video?
Super late response lol but I’ve been following Sarah for years and now follow you as well 😊
For what its worth, my roommate and his gf walked into the house while i had the song playing and both were convinced it was FF.
Dude! That was awesome! You nailed the Foo Fighters sound, for sure!
100%

If this was sung by Dave, and i had a blindfold on, I would totally think this was a foo fighters song. Love this sound
As a big foo fighters fan that was awesome ye you catched all the style of the complete band members i loved it bro, thanx end💙
Underrated video. TOOL next 😏
Hi Eric, very cool song!!! I'm in the process of adding some Foo Fighters vibes to our new songs myself. May I ask if you would make the SD3 preset available to your fan community?...😁 That would be extremely cool!!!
That was great, thanks!
An early Queen type song would be great!
This is awesome they are my favorite band and biggest inspiration and influence on my song writing you nailed it

That was so great! Do Blink 182 next!!
One year ago today this video was released today.
you absolutely awesome!!!!😶
That was insane!! KUDOS!!! You nailed it!!!
The chorus sounds like the beginning of Yes' "I've seen all good people".
I really love this series, and I would really like if you tried making a Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys or The Pretty Reckless song next. Also, will this song be available on Spotify like the Green Day style song?
great suggestions, thank you! and yes, I'm going to put it up soon!
He started w drums, Kurt taught him how to play guitar according to him in a interview a while back

I would love to watch you make a Kings of Leon song 😃
Great job!
Incredible! I loved this. If you're taking suggestions, could you please try making Rush, Pixies and Hüsker Dü songs? Subscribed!

Wow this is amazing. Would love to hear you break down or write a Smashing Pumpkins song . Cute threat are great too, 👍
Really enjoyed
Sounds like Alkaline Trio made a Foo song. Sounds sweet
That was awesome !! Next band you should do is Fall Out Boy ! :D
You miss the Rami Jaffee keyboard tone or sound.
6:27 you’re right Dave did play guitar before drums. Same for Taylor.
Sounds very cool, I was checking your course page but doesn't work.
my website is currently disabled. feel free to email me: EricAmesMusic@gmail.com
how did you do the drums? via programming or a midi drum kit? tnx for this interesting post!
good stuff man! it really sounds like the foo fighters. your voice is also close to dave's. im also trying to write songs like them. can u tell me what are their usual chords or chord progressions? :)
I'm surprised you don't have a Dave Grohl like quitar. Sounds great though!
You should copy/make a deftones or superheaven song
9:00 what does he mean by compressing them together to glue them?
9:15 how did he do that phasing effect between the two

Good job Rip Taylor.
Can we have a how to write a Alice in chains song
How to write a Paramore song would be cool!
it's on the list!
Is the SD3 preset available?
What’s this song called? Please reply.
This was sick dude. Got a sub from me! This could be a bit of a challenge, but it would be class if you replicate a TOOL song 🤘🏻
