Thanks a lot! Never heard of this brand but looks and sounds so cool. Such "historic lesson" are invaluable.

Those reverb units have a great overdrive tone when cranked, Duane Allman used one a lot.

I dig the ones with Franz pickups. If anyone ever runs across a Scroll or Bantam model with the gold pickups let me know :)

In an interview G.E. Smith once said the amps to look for are the the ones that have an input for accordion. My late father played accordion and bought some sort of pickup for it to play through my Gibson Thor bass amp.

Recently acquired a “Premier 35” was curious if that’s included in the catalog. I can’t find any information on this specific model.

Great video! I live on Long Island and there were several companies building amps. Earth was here, Estey made Magnatones in the 60's.
Sam Ash had branded amps made here by a company I can't remember. There was Universal, also.
FYI: Fender had an East Coast Authrorised repair shop that was torn down to build Shea Stadium for the NY Mets. It was very close to the Ampeg facility.
Franz, which made pickups for Vega and Guild, were close by in Queens also. It seemed there was one in every little Industrial Center out here.
I will look for pictures of artists using Premiere amps...I love searching for that stuff!

I had an old premier archtop with a flat gold pickup. It sounded better than any paf I’d ever heard, it was a very early guitar
