There’s nothing wrong with the oil pressure. Oil pressure is always higher on a cold engine with cold oil. GM’s specifications for this engine state that the pressure should be at least 6psi at 1000rpm, 18psi at 2,000rpm, and 24psi at 4000 rpm on an engine at operating temperature.
Does this work when the change oil soon indicator is not on? Mine still has 28% life but I changed the oil anyway. These steps are not working unless if I'm missing something from your very easy steps lol
I honestly can't recall if the trucks of this generation will allow for a reset ahead of schedule. The newer trucks allow for this. As for the steps, it's pretty simple - ignition on (engine off), step on the gas pedal all the way 3 times. Make sure you don't have anything getting in the way of the gas pedal, I had a floor mat prevent me from resetting the oil indicator before.
@@AKJeeper 😂😂😂😂😂 you know what man. It's something about you typing it out that made me realize I was pressing the BRAKE pedal instead of the GAS pedal lol... just got it to work 👍🏻👍🏻 thanks for the quick response!! Appreciate it 😁
No. This only resets the engine oil life indicator. The check engine light will require the vehicle to be scanned for codes, and the issues causing those codes need to be resolved.
If you have the buttons on the dash you just scroll to the % Oil Life and hold the check button till it resets to 100%. Just did it.
Literally works thanks:)
Bruh you not see that oil life holly this why I change my own oil.
Super easy and did the trick. thanks for posting this!
