I appreciate that thought was put into the design. I always encourage anyone I know to put a decent sized bedroom and bathroom downstairs once you're building a split level...and here we are. Kudos Kemtek 👏
You alluded to the kitchen being small, easy fix, eleminate the dining table and re-design the counter eating area by pulling it about 3ft into the living room which automatically increases the kitchen size. If you don't want to re-design simply increase the dining overhang slab that way persons will be able to sit more comfortably without their knees hitting on the cupboard. This is indeed a nice development.
The difference with this townhouse is that I'm not seeing a designated washroom. I'm seeing a washer and dryer under the stairs, but where is the washtub?
Space definately limited especially in the downstairs but it is one of the better layouts. Finishes are basic but I do not think they were trying for luxury. Name is unpleasant.
@@jkjlifestyle Outdoor space and living are very important to potential buyers. Perhaps ask the developer or insert the plan with domensions to inform the viewers.....
@@AltheaClair ... good luck finding one in that price range. Also even if you do find one in that price range more than likely others would have already gobbled them up.
It’s only me who thinks these ply houses are getting worse in price and no yard space. It’s cost about $60us to build a 3 bed Fully brick house, Not including land and the prices these ply home are costing are mirroring developed countries and the locals can just afford 7 mil house! Surely with all the development it must be reaching level selling to returnees so it’s soon where these developments are gonna be left unsold.
The interior is nice and spacious for a townhouse. However, the washer/dryer and wash tub under the staircase look weird and tacky, if you ask me. Also, the countertop design in one of the bathrooms is quite ugly. Those lines all over it remind me of termite trails!!!
The name though....the Colony. Not sure why Jamaican developers love to exalt exploitation names related to slavery and colonialism. Compared to the other townhouses on the market in St. Catherine, this seems to be the most competitive in terms of price. I honestly think they butchered the downstairs layout but I guess someone who understands spaces can fix it.

I agree 100%

The size of the kitchen is not a deal breaker, and I agree with you, it is a nice development.

There was no washtub, hopefully they add one at the back.
The wash tub situated beside the washer dryer to the left underneath the stairs.
@@micks8072 OMG yes it is, I can’t believe I missed it, thank you so much
@@tammiboo6 The washtub is there @micks8072 pointed it out. This is why I love the comment section.

How's the backyard?
The backyard is not fully setup so I can't say.

I know theirs scope for extension at the back. I would say the back garden is moderate.
Why the staircase look so narrow?
Maybe its the camera angle, the width of staircase is fine in my opinion.
The master bedroom suite is the only positive. Living and dining and kitchen areas look small
