We are IMHO on the edge of a MAJOR shaking that will occur in the body of Messiah. If one studies early "church" history, meaning from the ministry of the apostles up to about 300 AD what we quickly see is that for the better part of those 250 years or so, believers were ALL part of JEWISH synagogues because during this period Messianic believer were largely considered a sect of Judaism. In Rome itself as early as the reign of Domitian that gentiles began to declare that they were not part of the Jewish sect of messianic. However, in Asia Minor, the body of both gentile and Jews worshiped together up to the time that they were overrun by Muslims. We know from early church history that Polycarp who was appointed the Bishop over the body in Smyrna was directly appointed by the Apostel John. The great tragedy is that today most gentile believers think that the church very early on stops observing the Torah, Sabbath and the feast days. This is not all in line with history. In fact, we know that the Quartodecimanism dispute occurred near the end of Polycaps life while he was still the Bishop of Smyrna. For those of you who do not know what the Quartodecimanism is concerning, it is the debate surrounding when PASSOVER was to be observed Remember, that Polycarp was born in 80BC well after the Temple in Jerusalem had been destroyed. The body in Asia Minor (Turkey) was observing it when Nisan 14 occurred (since the Jewish calendar is a lunar calendar, 14 Nisan could occur over a floating 2-3 month period depending on the cycle of the moon.) The bishop in the church in Rome deviated and departed from the scriptural prescribed time and date that they would observe Passover. The issue was NOT should Passover be observed but rather, WHEN. As the rapid growth of gentiles continued to occur they became the majority of leadership and Rome being the capital of the Empire, soon Rome overtook the leadership of the body and it continued to move away from what scripture decreed and it began coopting PAGAN holiday and began "Christianizing" them. Holiday's such as Christmas, Easter and Good Friday now became ritual that REPLACED the Feast days of God. They are NOT the feast days of the Jews. God makes clear that the MOADIM are HIS Feasts. I think you are misinterpreting what Paul is saying. You absolutely MUST read scripture from a JEWISH mindset the great error is to superimpose your own world view when you are reading scripture. This is encapsulating the very heart of the argument of Acts 15 that has been warped to justify doing away with the Torah. In verse 1 we are told that IF the gentiles are not circumcised and follow the teaching of Moses THEY CAN NOT BE SAVED. The ensuing debate is a display of the Mosaic model of Dispute resolution. All of the testimony given by Peter, Paul and Barnabas are DIRECTLY surrounded by the fact that G-d indeed WAS moving amongst the gentiles. You must remember that at the time God had ONLY death with the JEWS as they were the only people that God had made a covenant. So what is significant about being circumcised and walking in Torah? It was how the Gentile could be proselytized as a new Jewish convert. Acts 15 is ENTIRELY about WHO can be Saved. What Paul is refuting is that Gentiles and Jews are EQUAL before the Father when it comes to salvation. What Paul is NOT saying is that both have distinct roles they retain.

Christian is a faith-based culture, not racial. Jewish is both racial and way of life. Messianic Jews should never forget the Torah as Yeshua kept it and taught it and so did Shaul, Kefa, Yochanan, Yakov... etc. It is godly to believe in the Jewish Messiah, but the church of Constantine left behind our Instruction (Torah). Yeshuah ha Mashiach died on the Roman cross to save us from the law that bound us. The curtain that separated the holy of holies in the temple was rent from top to bottom when the LORD cried out "It is finished!" and breathed his last breath before he died. So therefore Yeshua's work of sacrifice trumped all the sacrifices ever made or could be made in the future. His work on the cross was esteemed by the Father as superior to all our (humankind's) works of the law, because He fulfilled the law himself in his life and sacrifice. No sir, I believe you have it backwards. While the Holy Spirit, Ruach haKodesh will enlighten us to truth and help us to conform to a life of holiness expected of, He will not make us--we are still free to sin. And many times we still do and will do. Even with the help of the Holy Ghost, we STILL come short of the glory of GOD. We still cannot keep all the ordinances of the law perfectly, even tho to our eyes we have done OK. So that's where the Grace trumps the law, and it is most expedient to believe in Yeshua and His work than it it to keep the law, which we cannot do. Beware the concision, or those who try to obligate believers to keep their laws (yes, THEIR laws, bcz even tho the Father gave us these blessed laws, He freed us from the chains of them, seeing we could not keep them). Somebody asked Yeshua which was the greatest law, and what did He say? He said, first to love GOD with all you are and have, and love your neighbor as yourself--all the law hangs in these two. So do you understand how believing in Yeshua haMashiach and His finished work of salvation is more critical than keeping the law? Sorry for being so long winded, but I just couldn't let you be deceived into thinking laws & ritual being higher than faith in the saving Grace of Yeshua. Shalom.
Laws&rituals should not be higher than faith in the saving Grace of Yeshua, but the Grace of Yeshua has a purpose and it is to get us closer to G'd. How do we get closer to G'd? Making an effort to obey the Law He gave us as a manual of how to live here. The synthesis that Yeshua made of the "greatest law" was also made by important rabbis (that didn't follow Yeshua): "Love G'd above all, and your neighbor as yourself". And how do we treat our neighbor with love? Applying the Law G'd gave us in our daily life, in order to become better people (less savage, more in control) and a better society. "We still cannot keep all the ordinances of the law perfectly(...)" isn't that the purpose of the infinite Grace of G'd through the sacrifice of Yeshua? To provide us with forgiveness? If we aren't bound to the law, for what is G'd forgiving us? If there is no Law, there is no breaking the Law therefore no sin. "He freed us from the chains of them, seeing we could not keep them (...)". I ask you: did G'd commit a mistake? Was he wrong wen he planned us, and wrongly believed that we were capable of following the Torah and only then He had to come up with a plan to excuse us of the rules He crated to guide man after Eden? That seems weird. Yeshua sad to the pharisees: "For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?." (John 5:45-46, I think). Does that sound like someone who is dismissing the Law of G'd, given to Israel children through Moses (Deuteronomy 4:44)? If not by the Grace and Sacrifice of Yeshua there is no salvation for mankind. Trying to follow the Torah without the support and instructions given by Yeshua is not enough, since everybody fails. But saying that we can follow Yeshua and what He said without following the Law that speaks about Him, without the symbols that prophesied His coming and without the foundation of His teachings is absurd. I believe that what Mr. Perez said has to do with the fact that G'd was never mistaken, and that He only planned once: bringing Yeshua to the World to fulfill His Torah and be the Ultimate Sacrifice needed so that men could be brought upon His presence again. To make the world know the Torah and to inscribe It in their heart (Jeremiah 31:33 as he quoted). Jared, there were some specific rules for the Israelite, such as the dietary laws, in order to create in them an identity and separate them from their pagan neighbors in Canaan. That doesn't mean gentiles are obliged to it, but it also doesn't mean that a Jew who follows Yeshua should abandon it. Paul, the apostle, talked a lot about it. At this moment, we are declaring to the world how great we are, how powerful, how advanced etc. This is pride my friends, we are setting ourselves up as idols to be worshipped. We need to repent and turn back to Yehovah. He is the power, glory and strength. We don't need to keep sending our people to be killed. We need to get e eryone together and ask Yehovah's forgiveness for not depending on Him, put our trust completely in Him and let Him show the world His power and strength in His protection over us, then He will show His true self through all Israel and the rest of the world will repent to. God makes a covenant with Adam. Adam breaks it. God the makes a sacrifice introducing a new covenant. God makes a new covenant with Abraham. When Moses comes along he adds in a few more rules. Israel is unable to keep the covenant and God sends his sacrifice introducing a new covenant. All this is typed out as well as prophesied in the torah so its not something to be shocked about when it happens. Jesus when he fufills the old covenant, introduces a new covenant. The new one has higher rules than the old. Example. With moses it was dont commit adultary. With jesus its dont even look with lust after a woman. With moses it was God above us. With Jesus it was God with us. Now its God in us. Constant upgrading of covenants.

There are no coming decades. A few more years, only God knows how many, but the 2 days that prophet Hosea spoke about in Chapter 6 (counting from Christ's death and resurrection, in the 3rd day he will raise us up) are at their end. I think the long and the short of it is that when a Jew is joined unto Yeshua he becomes a spiritual Jew and when a Gentile is born again he becomes a spiritual Gentile; both are one in Messiah but each are called to different ministries, due to the different cultures of each person.
This is nonsense ! The first christians were all jews until Peter ,under divine direction, accepted the first Gentile (cornelius ) to be baptized 3 + years after Pentecost. Some of these comments are disturbing. It's as if people believe that being of Jewish dissent is different than a Gentile Christian. Galatians 3:28 says there is neither Jew nor gentile, slave nor free man, male nor female, we are all one in Christ Jesus. I love the fact that more Jews are coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. What I don't understand is this obsession with still calling out the separation and talking about keeping the Torah and old laws. Jesus Christ summed up the law into one law and that is to love God and your neighbor as yourself. We are not perfect in doing that, but if you fully love your neighbor and God you will not break the law. And if you do, we know that we have an advocate in Christ Jesus who is now our high priest, since the old Jewish law has been fulfilled. I'm just concerned that there is still a veil that people have put up between the Jews and the Gentiles. We're all the same everyone.

We are IMHO on the edge of a MAJOR shaking that will occur in the body of Messiah. If one studies early "church" history, meaning from the ministry of the apostles up to about 300 AD what we quickly see is that for the better part of those 250 years or so, believers were ALL part of JEWISH synagogues because during this period Messianic believer were largely considered a sect of Judaism. In Rome itself as early as the reign of Domitian that gentiles began to declare that they were not part of the Jewish sect of messianic. However, in Asia Minor, the body of both gentile and Jews worshiped together up to the time that they were overrun by Muslims. We know from early church history that Polycarp who was appointed the Bishop over the body in Smyrna was directly appointed by the Apostel John. The great tragedy is that today most gentile believers think that the church very early on stops observing the Torah, Sabbath and the feast days. This is not all in line with history. In fact, we know that the Quartodecimanism dispute occurred near the end of Polycaps life while he was still the Bishop of Smyrna. For those of you who do not know what the Quartodecimanism is concerning, it is the debate surrounding when PASSOVER was to be observed Remember, that Polycarp was born in 80BC well after the Temple in Jerusalem had been destroyed. The body in Asia Minor (Turkey) was observing it when Nisan 14 occurred (since the Jewish calendar is a lunar calendar, 14 Nisan could occur over a floating 2-3 month period depending on the cycle of the moon.) The bishop in the church in Rome deviated and departed from the scriptural prescribed time and date that they would observe Passover. The issue was NOT should Passover be observed but rather, WHEN. As the rapid growth of gentiles continued to occur they became the majority of leadership and Rome being the capital of the Empire, soon Rome overtook the leadership of the body and it continued to move away from what scripture decreed and it began coopting PAGAN holiday and began "Christianizing" them. Holiday's such as Christmas, Easter and Good Friday now became ritual that REPLACED the Feast days of God. They are NOT the feast days of the Jews. God makes clear that the MOADIM are HIS Feasts. These things are being RESTORED to the Body and more and more believers are being woken to these things

I think you are misinterpreting what Paul is saying. You absolutely MUST read scripture from a JEWISH mindset the great error is to superimpose your own world view when you are reading scripture. This is encapsulating the very heart of the argument of Acts 15 that has been warped to justify doing away with the Torah. In verse 1 we are told that IF the gentiles are not circumcised and follow the teaching of Moses THEY CAN NOT BE SAVED. The ensuing debate is a display of the Mosaic model of Dispute resolution. All of the testimony given by Peter, Paul and Barnabas are DIRECTLY surrounded by the fact that G-d indeed WAS moving amongst the gentiles. You must remember that at the time God had ONLY death with the JEWS as they were the only people that God had made a covenant. So what is significant about being circumcised and walking in Torah? It was how the Gentile could be proselytized as a new Jewish convert. Acts 15 is ENTIRELY about WHO can be Saved. What Paul is refuting is that Gentiles and Jews are EQUAL before the Father when it comes to salvation. What Paul is NOT saying is that both have distinct roles they retain.

Messianic Jews should never forget the Torah as Yeshua kept it and taught it and so did Shaul, Kefa, Yochanan, Yakov... etc. It is godly to believe in the Jewish Messiah, but the church of Constantine left behind our Instruction (Torah). The new covenant is the same as the first, but now we have the Holy Spirit to make us obey and follow the Torah, not like our fathers that broke it. Jeremiah 31:31-33

Moises GV Perez is it just OK to believe in the Jewish Messiah? Or is is it not more necessary than the Torah itself? Yeshuah ha Mashiach died on the Roman cross to save us from the law that bound us. The curtain that separated the holy of holies in the temple was rent from top to bottom when the LORD cried out "It is finished!" and breathed his last breath before he died. So therefore Yeshua's work of sacrifice trumped all the sacrifices ever made or could be made in the future. His work on the cross was esteemed by the Father as superior to all our (humankind's) works of the law, because He fulfilled the law himself in his life and sacrifice. No sir, I believe you have it backwards. While the Holy Spirit, Ruach haKodesh will enlighten us to truth and help us to conform to a life of holiness expected of, He will not make us--we are still free to sin. And many times we still do and will do. Even with the help of the Holy Ghost, we STILL come short of the glory of GOD. We still cannot keep all the ordinances of the law perfectly, even tho to our eyes we have done OK. So that's where the Grace trumps the law, and it is most expedient to believe in Yeshua and His work than it it to keep the law, which we cannot do. Beware the concision, or those who try to obligate believers to keep their laws (yes, THEIR laws, bcz even tho the Father gave us these blessed laws, He freed us from the chains of them, seeing we could not keep them). Somebody asked Yeshua which was the greatest law, and what did He say? He said, first to love GOD with all you are and have, and love your neighbor as yourself--all the law hangs in these two. So do you understand how believing in Yeshua haMashiach and His finished work of salvation is more critical than keeping the law? Sorry for being so long winded, but I just couldn't let you be deceived into thinking laws & ritual being higher than faith in the saving Grace of Yeshua. Shalom.
Laws&rituals should not be higher than faith in the saving Grace of Yeshua, but the Grace of Yeshua has a purpose and it is to get us closer to G'd. How do we get closer to G'd? Making an effort to obey the Law He gave us as a manual of how to live here. The synthesis that Yeshua made of the "greatest law" was also made by important rabbis (that didn't follow Yeshua): "Love G'd above all, and your neighbor as yourself". And how do we treat our neighbor with love? Applying the Law G'd gave us in our daily life, in order to become better people (less savage, more in control) and a better society.
"We still cannot keep all the ordinances of the law perfectly(...)" isn't that the purpose of the infinite Grace of G'd through the sacrifice of Yeshua? To provide us with forgiveness? If we aren't bound to the law, for what is G'd forgiving us? If there is no Law, there is no breaking the Law therefore no sin.
"He freed us from the chains of them, seeing we could not keep them (...)". I ask you: did G'd commit a mistake? Was he wrong wen he planned us, and wrongly believed that we were capable of following the Torah and only then He had to come up with a plan to excuse us of the rules He crated to guide man after Eden? That seems weird. Yeshua sad to the pharisees: "For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?." (John 5:45-46, I think). Does that sound like someone who is dismissing the Law of G'd, given to Israel children through Moses (Deuteronomy 4:44)?
If not by the Grace and Sacrifice of Yeshua there is no salvation for mankind. Trying to follow the Torah without the support and instructions given by Yeshua is not enough, since everybody fails. But saying that we can follow Yeshua and what He said without following the Law that speaks about Him, without the symbols that prophesied His coming and without the foundation of His teachings is absurd.
I believe that what Mr. Perez said has to do with the fact that G'd was never mistaken, and that He only planned once: bringing Yeshua to the World to fulfill His Torah and be the Ultimate Sacrifice needed so that men could be brought upon His presence again. To make the world know the Torah and to inscribe It in their heart (Jeremiah 31:33 as he quoted).
Jared, there were some specific rules for the Israelite, such as the dietary laws, in order to create in them an identity and separate them from their pagan neighbors in Canaan. That doesn't mean gentiles are obliged to it, but it also doesn't mean that a Jew who follows Yeshua should abandon it. Paul, the apostle, talked a lot about it.

God makes a covenant with Adam. Adam breaks it. God the makes a sacrifice introducing a new covenant.
God makes a new covenant with Abraham. When Moses comes along he adds in a few more rules.
Israel is unable to keep the covenant and God sends his sacrifice introducing a new covenant.
All this is typed out as well as prophesied in the torah so its not something to be shocked about when it happens.
Jesus when he fufills the old covenant, introduces a new covenant. The new one has higher rules than the old.
Example. With moses it was dont commit adultary. With jesus its dont even look with lust after a woman.
With moses it was God above us.
With Jesus it was God with us.
Now its God in us.

We have been born again and washed our sins in The Blood of JESUS CHRIST. We have accepted the Salvation plan of Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob we have been reconciled with God. Therefore, we need to see each other as The Family of JESUS CHRIST we need to stop the name calling such as Christian, evangelicals ETC. We are all family in CHRIST JESUS.

There are no coming decades. A few more years, only God knows how many, but the 2 days that prophet Hosea spoke about in Chapter 6 (counting from Christ's death and resurrection, in the 3rd day he will raise us up) are at their end. I think the long and the short of it is that when a Jew is joined unto Yeshua he becomes a spiritual Jew and when a Gentile is born again he becomes a spiritual Gentile; both are one in Messiah but each are called to different ministries, due to the different cultures of each person.
This is nonsense ! The first christians were all jews until Peter ,under divine direction, accepted the first Gentile (cornelius ) to be baptized 3 + years after Pentecost.
There was no division by nationality ,social class,colour/former creed in the inaugral years of christianity. May I suggest you check Galations 3;28 & colosians 3;11.

Some of these comments are disturbing. It's as if people believe that being of Jewish dissent is different than a Gentile Christian. Galatians 3:28 says there is neither Jew nor gentile, slave nor free man, male nor female, we are all one in Christ Jesus. I love the fact that more Jews are coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. What I don't understand is this obsession with still calling out the separation and talking about keeping the Torah and old laws. Jesus Christ summed up the law into one law and that is to love God and your neighbor as yourself. We are not perfect in doing that, but if you fully love your neighbor and God you will not break the law. And if you do, we know that we have an advocate in Christ Jesus who is now our high priest, since the old Jewish law has been fulfilled. I'm just concerned that there is still a veil that people have put up between the Jews and the Gentiles. We're all the same everyone.
