I recently broke up with my boyfriend, who's a Jew, because we are unevenly yoked. He went to church with me, I shared the Bible with him, shared my bible studies with him and no matter what, he still said he could never see himself accepting Christ. Broke my heart. God has a different plan for us, but I still pray for him to one day accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Even if he did accept Christ, I know God has us both on a different course. We have always read the scriptures as gentiles but understanding it from a Jewish perspective gets more deeper and meaningful...!! So that means that the Jews have to teach you? The Holy Spirit can't? I mean, that's the problem with all this, isn't it. I used to briefly believe the Jewish comedian who said if you want to understand the Bible, the OT, just ask a Jew. But what a shock when I found out that all I needed was God through the Holy Spirit. No, I don't need a "Jewish" perspective, only the truth from God through the Holy Spirit. Everything else is carnal. And you need to understand that, amazingly, before the 50s Jews had no problem coming to Christ, without force from anyone, and they called themselves Christians, just as they do today. A true Christian is a person whose identity is in Christ, period. There is no Jew and no Gentile. Frankly, it is very alarming seeing more division in the Body of Christ, this time separating Jew and Gentle, and the one thing about One For Israel is that they clearly are trying to make others believe they have "superior knowledge" because they are supposedly Jewish. They are for the State of Israel first and Christ second.
And please ask yourself why God would allow millions of his true children, who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, to be slaughtered and forced to leave the land, for all these unbelievers? That is the opposite of what you will find throughout the OT. There are no Jews and Gentiles in Christ, period.
Samalabear well actually to understand their culture u understand more of the reading it’s deeper but yes the Holy Spirit is there to guide like Jesus said on a general level. U are right tho. Jesus came to tell his own people to humble themselves n to love one another becuz they had class n distinction which divided people. Jus like only the high priest n men get to worship in the synagogue but for Jesus, God was for everyone. The poor, the sick, the old. And he also said to the woman at the well that U don’t have to jus worship in Jerusalem. After Him U can worship anywhere. But Jews always tend to think n declair they are the best or the chosen. Raised Catholic, but only "culturally christian" until the Lord found me and I was truly born-again.... you speak of some "christians" as being confused... Israel is Israel. can you give me Bible references that those individuals who become followers of Yeshua become Israel?
those who were born again in christ were born as children of abraham.this is on faith not by flesh.there is new israel in heaven. 12 disciples of christ represent 12 tribe of israel.those are baptised by a disciple and his successor would become tribe of israel which he represent .for example st.thomas represent tribe gad and those who baptised by him or by his successor would be included in tribe gad.new and old israel would praise christ together in heaven after his second coming. amen.
