Judaism is attractive due to its philosophical connotations. However, it diminishes the role of Messiah and necessity of redemption from sin. In that sense, messianic movement is much more complete in the mystical layer. Love is the most important element connecting Messiah with his people.

Hi, this conversation is very close to my heart. I'm not Jewish, but as a young inquisitive child had a desire to find out who 'God' was. I was the youngest of five children to atheist parents and heard about God when overhearing a conversation between two little classmates at lunchbreak. I was about six years old. So my parents allowed me to go to the local Anglican Church Sunday School, probably thinking it was just a passing interest. But I had a very real faith in God as a result, but lost it at fourteen when our school scripture teacher put me on a debating team. The topic was stated as "The New Testament was written to prove that Jesus was the Messiah" - I was on the affirmative side with two schoolmates, one whose father was a Professor of Theology at Sydney University (Australia). With no Christian parents among us we researched all the books on comparative religions. Our main argument was that the New Testament often said: "This was done so that the prophecy would be fulfilled". We saw that as a clear admission of fallacy. We won the debate and I lost my faith. Twenty four years later I asked a friend why he believed Jesus was the Messiah and he showed me Isaiah 53, Psalm 22 and then Matthew 27. I could almost hear the scales falling to the floor from my eyes. That was 36 years ago and Jesus has kept me safely in his care since then.

I love you with all my heart, my brother. Your story resonates. My family was Christian in the nominal sense though we went through all the motions. But through my teen years and early adulthood, I sensed there was need to ground any belief system as ground shattering as the idea of Gods existence. My approach however was to hurl every possible doubt at the idea. I read up atheist books and thoughts, and one after another their frailties were laid bare. I then poked around for holes in scripture, reading the bible twice over, and it held solid. I wish I had taken the leap then; I did not, until I dabbled into some occultism and was exposed to demonic attacks. That sealed it for me and I went scuttling for safety in Christ. He has kept me safe and sound since then to this day.
Caroline, what if all along u were looking for reasons to believe? Confirmation bias. The time u actually lost faith it seems was the only time u were thinking logical without bias.

Matthew 27:9-10
"9. Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of Him who was priced, whom they of the children of Israel priced, 10. and gave them for the potter’s field, as the LORD directed me.”
And fyi, the other 2 references u gave are not what u convinced yourself of as well.
Start at Isaiah 43 and read at least until the last of Isaiah from 43. What 2 subjects does Isaiah himself say directly is the suffering servant?????? People manipulate others emotionally all the time with one verse. You were lied to and u didn't care. U wanted to accept a lie more than the truth. Your parents were right to be atheist and they hoped u had enough critical thinking skills and maturity to figure things out for yourself, which is why they allowed u to be exposed to lies. You did figure things out for yourself once, but u dropped the ball and didn't try to learn more why the bible isn't credible. You allowed yourself to be lied to out of emotional reasons. And as a result, you've been lying to others since then.
We humans are ALL psychologically immature. Some of us are worse than others due to our levels of narcissism and other life experience factors.
We lie, exaggerate, and delude ourselves into believing false things in order to support our fragile narcissistic ego.
Once we convince ourselves to believe something, we then often close ourselves to the possibility we may be wrong concerning what we believe.
Only by seeking the humility and courage to challenge our beliefs with less bias* allows us the possibility of finding the truth.
We will kill ourselves with our technology if we don't learn to find ways to be a more mature species and question our biased beliefs.
We should all fear belief, because it can make us support monsters or become monsters.
And "belief" includes all belief, not just religion. Racism, bigotry, politics, and religion are just a small handful of belief that changes our perception and behavior.
One belief can create a whole subset series of beliefs that can warp your understanding of things. Fear belief and focus on mature growth. People who value truth and maturity do not believe things which lack credibility and good evidence.
All religions come from flawed manmade belief which originated from psychologically immature cult leaders.
Gods and demons are imaginary friends and enemies humans create to explain their ridiculous beliefs, immoral behaviors, and to use as tools to get what they desire. Bible god is no different than Santa, Zeus, Thor, the tooth fairy, or monsters in the closet.
***Try to remember that your feelings are never facts or evidence, and no amount of belief makes something true***
Try to consider that you don't need imaginary friends anymore.🖖
If u care about truth, then have the courage to discuss with an atheist why you believe a book written by ignorant ancient humans who thought the common cold was demonic. I represent your parents and what u should have been if u had actually done the work and attempted to find things wrong with the credibility of the bible. If u really care about the hard truth over a seductive lie, then tell me why u believe in a book that claims ridiculous things like the Noah's ark myth is true??
I'm of Catholic faith and I am thankful that I found Jeff's videos and this channel online.
Jeff's miraculous transformation and encounter with Jesus, our Savior and Messiah shows God's unfathomable LOVE and mercy towards all Jews and Gentiles alike. We are all His children and He loves us SO MUCH that He sent His only begotten Son who sacrificed His life to save us from all our sins.
He knows our hearts.
"We Glorify, Adore and Praise Him,

If you are praying the rosary and bowing down to idols, you are not obeying Jesus Christ. Please read your Bible instead and especially the book of Revelation because RCC's Pope is the false prophet. Jesus said that you must be born again in John 3. Mary did not remain a virgin in Matthew 1 and Jude and James were her sons with Joseph.

As a Protestant, I am encouraged because even the demonically-based lies of your church leadership have not been able to blind you to the truths that only Yeshua is truly divine, unlike His mother, Mary, who the Bible nowhere says is divine and worthy of anyone's worship. ❤

Nice to meet you. I am born again 19 years this week, and my channel is sharing the gospel as we are in the last days before the rapture and then the seven year Tribulation. I have a born again Jewish sister in Israel who is also trying to share the gospel in the IDF. MARANATHA.
His book Reading Moses Seeing Jesus is one of the best I've read. I've read it 3 times and every time I pick up on something I missed. It's a must read! One for Israel is such a blessing. I love their podcasts and binge watch their I Met Messiah testimonies--they are so uplifting.
I was raised catholic. I am now born again. However there was no time I didn't know Jesus was and is Jewish. I came to have a lot of reasons to leave the catholic religion. Many scary reasons. So at this point in my life I have completely come to love Jesus with all my heart and strength and soul. What he did for the world...for me I can only say it makes me cry to know my sins caused my Lord to give his life in my place. It always humbles my soul to know how much he loves me. My hope is to meet all of you in Heaven and to live in perfect peace with all the saints and in the presence of God. A thing I do not deserve.

I was educated by Franciscans that made Christ's Jewishness very clear and we'd pray daily for the conversion of the Jews. Also during mass there was a prayer for the Jews
but catholic is the one true Religion, one God, one Church, Jesus the Head and we are the Members. Everybody who is baptized and awarely believes in and loves Lord Jesus, is born again. But His Body and Blood you can only eat and drink of (as He commanded us to do) in His Holy Catholic Church. A simple prayer and oil anointing of my son in the hospital by a nurse started my son, myself and husband on our way to being born again. My son has schizophrenia. He was diagnosed at age 17, he's 32 now. He was in and out of hospitals. But after this encounter, it started his road to healing and gaining control of this insidious disease. He hasn't had an episode in 3.5 years. We all have been completely transformed. I glady pray in Jesus mighty name for you and your family. God bless you ❤️ 🙏 🙌 all glory to God for his healing.

As a medical doctor who works in natural healing, firstly we do believe Yeshua has power to heal, but He has many ways and be different between one to another. So my prayer is for you. Then. Stop things that can worsen the mental health, sugary foof and drink, especially contain sugar, synthehtic sweeteners, or MSG. they ruin our brain function. The messiah will take the weapons of war away from everyone, proclaim peace unto all the nations, and his rule will be over all the earth.

The messiah will judge between the nations and give many people criticism for their behavior. He will take all weapons if war and there will be world peacs and no more teaching/trainjng how to fight war.

No more teaching of religion, for all will immediately be given knowledge of Yahweh. No bibles,no qurans, no religious books needed. And nobody would lack knowledge or be an atheist.

These are just some of the major messianic scriptures that must happen, but didn't happen. Jews know they didn't happen, and therefore they know their messiah hasn't come.

Isaiah 11:9 Means he will come to fill the earth with the knowledge of God, as he did. He brought the New Testament. This verse does not state there will be no need to teach, you made that part up.
Isaiah 2:4 The fighting did not stop because you rejected the Messiah. You were supposed to accept him, so was the rest of the world. This is why fighting continues.
Ezekiel 37:12 His people rejected him.
Ezekiel 45:22-23 These are instructions for princes not signs of the Messiah.

Jeremiah 31:34 People do have an inherent knowledge of right and wrong now. It is also called gut instinct, but it is from the new covenant. People choose to ignore it, or are misled by evil forces and temptation.

It does not end there. The Parable of the Two Debtors show that the saved shall show their love to the Savior and His Messiah by observing the TNK. Several passages tell us how to show our love for the Father and the Son.

The story of Joseph is a stunning parallell to Isa 53. He was rejected, put in prison, only to be exalted by God at the right time to be a redeemer of His brothers.
We Christians consider the story of Joseph the Dreamer a picture of Jesus Christ. Joseph was sacrificed to save many. The story of Jonah and the whale is "the sign of the Son of man," how Jesus was buried in the earth three days, and rose again. Noah and the ark shows how Christ saves us out of the world and protects us from hell. The entire Old Testament points to Christ. The Bible is beautiful, a story with beginning as well as an end, and as a whole it makes perfect sense. People who don't believe as we do cannot see this, as Christ said over and over again in the gospels.
The account of Joseph and his brothers and so on, quite multifaceted messages to those who will see, hear, love and obey. HalleluYah! 😊

Lifelong catholic here. When you are born into the catholic faith, sometimes you take things for granted and don't really pay attention to what is taught about Jesus and the old testament. One thing that really got me engaged in the overall narrative of the old and new testament was the catholic church's teaching of biblical typology and how everything is building towards the coming of christ (messiah). Abraham being asked to sacrifice his only son to the lord. The sacrificial lambs throughout the history of the Hebrews/ Israel. Manna/ bread from heaven. So many other examples.

Dear professor thank you for your Testimony .....Yeshua holds you close to his Heart...I love and pray for Israel and have never stopped praying for Israel to accept Jesus as their Messiah. ...I have been to the Holy Land have met many Jews who had converted and are known as Jews for Jesus....
So thankful many Jews are finding Messiah today back in 1969 when I found God there were not many Jews who accepted Messiah then. I listened to the first Messianic group. Lamb Joel Chernoff is a beautiful gifted singer. His parents back then knew Yeshua. This is why Isaiah 53 is forbidden by Rabbis to listen to.. It so clearly reveals the Messiah. My relatives are Jewish, I am half but grafted in to the Olive tree. My Doctor who is Jewish, I have testified to him. Said to me stop trying to proselytize me.. I used to hang out years ago in Toronto with Jews for Jesus. So I called them, they sent me a lovely book on Physicians who found Messiah. I gave it to my Doctor. His name is Dr. Lax, I was trying to comfort him as his beautiful daughter died suddenly at age 18 two years ago. Please pray for him and his wife.. Shalom I live in Timmins Ontario Canada

I was born again 3.5 years ago at 53. I was a complete heathen.
From the moment I started reading the Bible I recognized Jesus is in every single one of the 66 books. It's fascinating when you understand that there are 66 chapters in Isaiah and it is a synopsis of the Bible start to finish.
It is my geniune wish that our Jewish family accepts the Truth. Don't wait until tribulation to be a part of the 1/3 that come to the Truth.

THANK YOU JESUS! Even though I’m still struggling to put groceries in the refrigerator. I STILL TRUST YOU LORD! Faith is trusting in God durning hard times. Faith is what is getting me through my hard situation. I’m still struggling to providing for my two autistic children since losing my job over declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and Heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth Hospital. My husband passed away three years ago, so I’m all alone. Both of my sons are non verbal so things are more hard on me. Every month I don’t know how we are going to make it through. Every month is a struggle, a battle to not end up on the streets. I’m so depressed and embarrassed by my situation. I’ve been put down and mocked over my circumstances. I’m so ashamed and overwhelmed. BUT because of my faith God shows up every month and provides. He has even sent strangers to help me, thank you Father. Even as I face homelessness with two young children seemingly every month!
I know that God will provide abundantly. Thank you Jesus. I BELIEVE!

I am a Gentile Christian from Singapore; I like to share my brothers and sisters in Christ, a little bit here about the book of Isaiah, it contains a total of 66 chapters which makes up a complete Mini Bible to me personally. The first 39 chapters 1 to39 represents the Old Testament and the remaining 27 chapters 40 to 66 representing the New Testament. as I read though not fully understood and compare the two portions, I discovered a lot of hidden signs, prophecies and shadows of the future coming messiah also of God's speaking destruction, judgments in different tone in the front 39 chapters. Whereas the next 27 chapters i found more prophecies of deliverance messages of tender mercy of love, comfort and the revealing of Jesus Christ the Saviour's accomplishment very clearly. Besides, God demanded life blood, since it is the most valuable thing to the one living. God gave it. And he can raise it up again if you are willing to lay it down. Problem with our blood is that it's not sufficient to pay for our own sin, let alone others. It would take eternally for us to pay for it. Christ was sinless and he didn't consider his equality with God something as a right. He was willing to take flesh and blood, suffer, and die for our sins. That's how much he loved us. Back in the late 80s and into the 90s, my husband and I (and our six kids) attended a wonderful church for many years, before we left California in 1992. I am from the Philippines and i read the whole bible from Genises to Revealation. The conversation is very clear for me.
I'm a Christian, very Scandinavian and I find this so interesting, maybe because I've spent so much time learning on my own, but I've always thought that the Jewish people were the main characters of the story. The rejection of Jesus opens the door to the rest of us to participate, but the story of the world is a Jewish story, they are still the chosen people. When they were slaves, exiles, or had their own kings, the story was about them, and I don't see why that would change now.
The title of the video says it's gonna be about a professor and his story....yet the professor spends almost the entire video talking about Jesus and the Bible. Wow, a truly humble guy who is so captivated by the Bible, and Jesus. Praise God! His mother must have spent a lot of time praying for him.

Listening about Rashi’s interpretation of it as ISRAEL being the suffering servant must ALSO be attributed to the Pharisaic belief that RIGHTEOUSNESS comes by keeping the law of Moses! So when Jews in the Diaspora were murdered and persecuted by the gentile nations, they would wonder why God would allow INNOCENT GODFEARERS to be made into sacrificial offerings! From THAT mindset I can now see Rashi’s interpretation more clearly!

Besides the immoral verses, verses in the Jewish scriptures that prove Christian doctrine is false, and the messianic scriptures that prove Jesus wasn't the Messiah, there's tons more evidence otherwise that proves Christianity wrong and the Bible lacks credibility.

Jesus had to take money from Mary of Magdala for his ministry because he couldn't provide for himself. This is hypocrisy, because he told his followers god will provide for your needs.
Jonah was supposed to survive in the oxygen deprived and acidic stomachs of a whale for 3 days.(mythology)
In the earlier Jewish scriptures and belief, Yahweh had a physical' body and would have not needed Jesus' body to dwell among humans. Hebrews believed in a god like Zeus that had a body with a nose that smelled Noah's sacrifice, physically wrestled with Jacob, couldn't see past clouds with his eyes as he walked on the firmament above the clouds with his feet, walk in the garden with his feet, had to fly down to the tower of babel to see with his eyeballs what was going on, etc etc. He never needed Jesus' body.

Book of Joshua claims sun and moon stood still for a day, which only works with flat earth geocentric cosmology where the sun and moon revolve around the earth, otherwise such a thing would have killed everyone and everything as the oceans would have catastrophically flooded all land on earth based on our current cosmology scientific understanding.
Noah's mythological story was mostly borrowed from Babylonian and sumerian mythology.
I could go on and on.
You have to foolishly justify these problems with either "magic or god works in mysterious ways" which makes u no different than a Muslim who believes Muhammad split the moon and had a flying donkey.
If u really care about truth u need to investigate these things, or u risk believing a lie for the rest of your life.
