- With so many people ordering online due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the pandemic keeping loved ones apart this year, holiday gifts are being sent via snail mail in numbers never seen before. But getting packages to their destinations can become complicated, especially when massive winter storms batter the east. Inside Edition put package services to the test to answer that very question by sending a package for overnight delivery from New York City to Los Angeles via USPS, FedEx and UPS. #InsideEdition

As someone who has used Usps, fedex, and ups many times to ship items I’ve sold, Usps has always been the cheapest and most reliable method of shipping.

My husband (who has worked for ups for 19 years) says that UPS should refund the money, as it supposed to be delivered in the morning, and is priority for the drivers on their route.
The price differences can’t really be compared unless you send the same item because of weight.

Keep up the faith. I ordered an expensive rare package and it arrived from Ohio to Texas after 1 and a half months. I phoned USPS and made a claim and kept renewing the claim and calling them back every few days pressuring real humans on the phone to keep searching for my package. You have to hound them or else your package will truly get lost.

I leave at 5pm and I see the same delivery people delivering none stop. I even see you delivering from my house up and down my street until I go to bed at 9pm. Thank you for delivering even though we’re in this pandemic exposing yourselves. Thank you for trying your best to deliver everything on time, sorry you can’t control the weather, or this pandemic just so people can all have their packages on time. Sorry that everything is hectic and that they blame you for packages not arriving on time, because once again we don’t think of the weather or any other inconvenience that come across your paths. I paid for priority mail and it came in 4-5 days as opposed to 1-3. And one of my other packages is over a week late. I think it just depends some come late some not but they’re getting the hang of it

USPS 1-day is the only service USPS guarantees. If you don’t get it in the 1-day expected delivery window they will refund your money back, so hence the importance they treat those packages with extra care! Everything else at the Post Office they don’t guarantee. And Big Companies get massive discounts on UPS & FedEx packages so they ship that for around the same rate of $50 instead of $150 the public pays at the overpriced store
I ordered 5 Rubik's cubes in 2 packages from Amazon that were supposed to arrive today December 18th, but instead arrived Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Awesome Delivery!
Well sometimes I get sad when I find a 1 day Saturday package, on a Thursday. Meaning its been moving since the prior Friday. I do hope they get to their destinations

I sent a package USPS to my sister and paid for two day priority delivery with insurance on December 8 from DC to NJ. It's December 19 and still has not arrived. I had a package sent to me from Ohio via USPS on December 8 and tracking says it was delivered on the 11th. The package never arrived. Over the summer USPS lost one of my packages for over two months. It was shipped July 11 and showed up in late October. You were very lucky. UPS and FedEx have become far too expensive but so far they have not lost any of my stuff.

This is not an accurate representation. The box's size could affect how long it takes, you should have done it with all three packages being the same size and weight.
I mailed a package December the 1st to New Zealand it’s been sitting in Chicago since the 5th of December. I understand it would be slow but it was quoted as 8-10 days. I glad I didn’t send any cookies or breads for the holiday they would be moldy by the time they get there.

UPS charged me $184 for 2nd day air, now its day three no package. I feel stolen from. Priority mail only costs $7 and takes 3 days

The reason you get the crunchy s is because the conveyor. Belt gets so back up sometimes from all the volume and it would crush the box because they get pin essentially it's about 600 pounds of force more or less moving those packages

Lol this is funny. I had a packages sent last week. All of them arrived to their destination within a few days. However, one is still on it's way now. It has been going back and forth.
I sent a box from the US to Switzerland this past summer: it cost $100 for 8-10 days. It arrived in 7.
The same cost roughly $500 from both UPS and FedEx.
Do NOT sleep on the USPS. I'll never use the other two again.
