I am a year plus since F/CF diagnosis and have found your videos to be my sole choice for fibro friendly workouts. I just did the shoulder one for the first time and will be adding that to my fibro set. I go to PT weekly and acupuncture 1-2x month. Your videos have been a perfect compliment to my overall therapy. I haven't tired of them at all because they are perfectly curated. My cat enjoys following along as well, she knows your voice : ) Thank you for what you do.
Thanks so much! I was diagnosed with ME and fibromyalgia a little over a week ago, walking with a completely stiff leg. First time I did this workout could feel it loosing up. I do this everyday now and is helping with overall stiffness. Thanks again!
Hi Rachel. I found this video last fall. It helps me. I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. I am in a painful fibromyalgia flare without electricity since 6:30 this morning in Southeast Texas. Hurricane Beryl left us without power. I just did this series of stretching (thankful for the RUclips app on my phone.😂) Thank you Rachel for creating this stretching video....God bless you! John 3:16
I don't know if I have fibromyalgia but I do have a lot of aches and pain. I found these exercises helpful. I have a lot of back aches. I am sure if I do them every day My back will improve. Thank you, Rachel.
I have been looking for a gentle recumbent stretching and strengthening activity. I feel this works my sorest problem areas. Everyone tells you to exercise and it can be so problematic, but this is so helpful. Thank you!!
Thank you, Rachel for this excellent video. I have had several days of intense exercise and needed a bit of recovery. This routine is perfect for anyone who still wants to workout, but needs a break from more strenuous activity.
More of these videos please! This was amazing. I’m managing fibro from long covid and it’s so hard to find videos geared to helping to manage chronic illness. ❤
Thank you Rachel ❤️. It is such a blessing that you try to cater for all your followers needs. I will definitely try this workout, hopefully in this coming week. I am currently working my way through a Fibromyalgia flare after contracting seasanal flu🤧🤒, as we are in the middle of winter here in South Africa, and an extremely cold one🥶. I actually did your Post Covid class this week, just to get some movement into my body, as I know through experience that rest only is not the best thing to overcome Fibro flares. Once again thank you for your time and effort as you put together exercises to help your followers with whatever they need. May the Lord bless you with good health to keep on doing what you are doing 🙏🙏💐
Thankyou Rachel. I did this as a post covid stretch. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 8 yrs ago and it was so bad i was seriously thinking i needed to change career and move to a house with no stairs. My rheumatologist said keep moving so i did. 3 yrs later i ran a half marathon. Perhaps i took it a bit far but the keep moving advice was the best advice i recieved. Good for my body and really good for my mental health.
I have fibromyalgia and suffer from flares almost every day. I have been following your workout for some weeks and it helps me alot. Thank alot for sharing it. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for these exercises, I have a back and knee injuries and fibromyalgia, I’m in pain every day. Some times it’s hard to do anything, the pain is worse if I don’t move. I can’t over do exercises, but walking helps, I’ll start your exercises today. 🙏
Hi Rachel, many thanks for this, I’ve been doing something similar from what I know from the past. The child pose is great to finish with! I’ve found having the attitude that “I’m still here despite all of this pain” is one of the best strategies; it empowers you to venture into doing what you want to a lot more!
This was just what I needed I have not been diagnosed with fibromyalgia yet but I’ve been recording my symptoms over the last few months and everything points to it.I am seeing a functional medicine doctor next week and hope he listens to me. I’ve been having chronic pain and IBS symptoms on and off for 7 months and all my tests from my doctor to get to the root have all come back clear and I think I now know why.
I don’t have fibromyalgia; however I found this workout very suitable for me at the end of the day to unwind coming home after work. I enjoy this 15 min that I am giving to myself ! Thank you Rachel!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! Rache, you are such a treasure - I will be trying this tomorrow (it's late night in Washington state US) but you don't know how much I needed this 💝
This was lovely! I don’t have fibromyalgia or RA, but both videos are delightful alternatives for the days when aches and pains or fatigue make more vigorous exercise unwise. Thanks for all you do to keep us moving, wherever we are on the path to wellness and good health!👍🏻💪🏼💛💙💚🧡🤗
I don't have fibromyalgia, but some arthritis, two knee operations, one foot operations, 69 years old. Obvious limitations. But I love Pilates and this I can do. Thank you for providing these videos .
You're welcome 😉 I am so glad that you did this video, do go and have a look at my other 'arthritis' knee pain and Rheumtoid Arthtitis videos - I think they will work very well for you. Take care and keep going, you're doing great 😊 xx
thank you. I have been doing Pilates for 4 years since I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and now bursitis in both shoulders. The Pilates is getting harder mentally and physically as the pain gets worse. I will continue my Pilates but this gave me some more options and something I can do on a daily basis.
Idk about fibromyalgia but ive been having a lot of body pain just from working too much i think and this was absolutely lovely. I feel like i got a small workout and just added some soft movement into my life today and thats exactly what I was hoping for
That was absolutely lovely! Did your recent band workout yesterday, and been gardening lately, so a bit achy, especially in lower back. I don’t have fibromyalgia or rheumatoid arthritis, but both workouts are restful, warming, stretchy and delightful!🤗 Sometimes I want to flex and stretch and warm up a bit, residual brain surgery deficits (ataxia, balance, fatigue) take their toll if I overdo exercise. But this is lovely, thanks so much for using your knowledge, empathy and talents to help all of us keep moving, whatever our situation!💪🏼👍🏻🧡💛💚💙
this helped so much! i’m seriously so thankful. i’ve been mainly doing yoga for my chronic pain, but this video has me thinking that pilates might help more. once again, thanks!
Thank you Rachel, I also have fibro. I'm able to do your other classes but some days I'm just to sore so this class Is perfect on these days. Thank you🌹
thank you so much for this! i've been struggling with fibro since i was around 13, and im 19 now. i've been trying to find yoga/pilates that aren't painful for me, and i stumbled on your video! it's the first fibro friendly pilates i have done! thank you so much
Thanks Rachel, I have chronic pain and I’m on meds. I found this today, and I’m starting today, along with walking most days, I’m sure this video will help with my pain management. I’m watching from Australia 🇦🇺🐨
I love it....and dear ......I feel so soory for your injury....I see it.. I have same problems spine neck that is why I git fibro...xour workout inspires me as I stopped walking after 2 fiziotherapys for 6 weeks....before I was walking now im in fibro since for Hard to lie down sit ...thanks for your workout.💚
Thank you so much for doing this video! It means more than you know to those with limited mobility due to diagnosis like fibromyalgia. I look forward to seeing my progress and hope to see more videos. Thank you again.
Lovely, gentle workout, I don’t have this condition, but found this (and your recent RA workout) wonderful for pst-gardening aches and pains😉 Thanks for helping all of us, no matter what level of fitness, keep moving on the road to wellness!🤗💙💛🧡💚
What Sue said! I tried this because I wanted something gentle to relax this evening, and also I wanted to see what it's like so I can recommend it to a couple friends. Thank you, Rachel.
Thank you. That was beautiful and very gentle. I enjoyed it from the start working up to the pelvic bridges and also the knee stretches. Rotating the arms from over the head to the side is tricking but will work on it. I modified it to just do one arm and that seems to be less strain on the back muscles and shoulder.
i love this sm thank you me and my mum believe i may have ME/CFS, as my mum has it too alongside fibromyalgia and it also runs in our family i used to work out a lot but became unable due to pain and fatigue, but this felt really good. tysm !!
Thanks for sharing. I’m so glad to hear this feels good for you, it’s a wonderful way to work on your wellbeing and fitness without putting any stress on your body. Keep up the great work and give my best wishes to your mum. 😊
I loved this! :) Never done pilates before and this program was nice for my body. I just want to ask if this is also a good workout for hypermobility/HSD/heds, since I have both HSD and fibromyalgia? I have a hard time finding workouts that explicitly says it is good for both conditions. Thanks! :)
Ive got severe fibromyalgia .... and have too Much time in bed make me weak and have no energy at all. I am trying to put myself together for me to enjoy the rest of my life. ive tryed ur video and i think i could take a little more. Should i do it twice then?
Sorry to hear that of youe svere fibromyalgia. If you feel you could do a little mire can I suggest that you aim to do this session 3-4 times a week for the next 4 weeks and see how you feel. With a chroni problem I know you can have good days and bad days so my advice to build your strength is to start wit increasing the regularity of your sessions. If, after four weeks of 3/4 times a week you feel ready to move on I will happily suggest what to do next. Take your time as we want you feeling great again and the best way is steady increases so your body has time to adjust. Let me know how you get on ina few weeks. 🤗
@@TheGirlWithThePilatesMat wow!!! thank you for the respond. i will for sure, do what you suggest. its a fact that i have tendancies to do too much when i feel ok wich is bad and need to change. Its a internal rage of being restricted that is pushing me to do more and more. I will fo sure try to not make the same mistakes! thanks again!
I’m sorry, you’re so young to have fibromyalgia. I hope these exercises help you. I’ve just found this lady, I’m at the point I’ll do anything that will help my fibromyalgia pain. I find walking helps, but I can’t over do it. Good luck 🤞
