    I am currently in a flareup. This is not helpful. I think you should try this with actual fibromyalgia patients in a flare up who are looking for instant relief. I now have muscle spasms in my neck after trying to hold my arms out in front of me. You talk about "building" into the exercises. People in a fibromyalgia flareup can't even get the full motion you are showing going. This was extremely frustrating and unhelpful.

      Yoga is too extreme even for normal people. You must understand it's a religious ritual of Hinduism and it's orgins are in the occult. The Gurus use extreme positions as a demented discipline. Our bodies were not meant for such bondage. Gentle movement and exercises are key: walking and swimming. This creates new neural pathways and reduces pain. Gentle stretching is excellent.

    Had very painful fibro for many years until I changed my diet. Doing clean Keto for two years now. Fibro disappeared within 3 months! It’s my belief that seed oils may play a big part in fibro…and they are in sooo many products! Changed to olive and avocado oil, and real butter. Also added Vitamin D with K2.

From my hips to toes, I was never in this type of flare-up pain before up and down my legs I had to have a heat blanket on them for 5 days. Today I felt a bit better took to the mat. My 90+ y/o severely osteoporotic grandmother went from barely being able to lift her head upright while sitting and unable to stand from sitting in a chair to being able to walk probably a quarter mile with a walker by… exercising.
      You can find chair exercises for elderly people online. I remember her starting by going from sitting to standing with assistance and then for reps, like one every like five minutes up to a few reps per minute. Then we’d have her walk around the house one time and take a break until she could make it many times around. Then we had her start walking to the end of the road and rest. Then to the end and back and rest. Baby steps and gradual progression.
      But use it or lose it. Mortality is highly correlated with the inability to get up off the floor. God bless

    The pain i have in and around my heart and chest muscles is just unbelievable. My doctors have said i have an extreme case of this disease. They cant seem to find the right medication to stop the pain. Morphine works a bit but it doesnt take all the pain away from the chest and back. Lyrica made me worse and the anxiety it gave me was just unreal. Im on neurostil now only today and i had the most intense pain along with the longest panic attack i ever had followed by a fit of shakes like i was freezing cold. I took a morphine tablet this evening after i dropped my daughter back to her moms and then learned very quickly that neurostil doesnt mix with morphine by nearly having a seizure. I had to resist calling an ambulance as my son is finishing school tomorrow for the summer. Does ANYONE out there know what is the best thing to take for pain for this disease. It's really effecting my daily life.

Trust me, 11 surgeries added to the everyday pain. Unfortunately, as we all know, their effectiveness decreases, and larger amounts have to be increased. The DEA is making it almost impossible to get anything strong enough to help with the pain. Have you tried Belbuca? It can be titration up, when needed. Good luck.

      I just read about someone having a condition called Intercostal Neuralgia. It sounds a lot like your symptoms. There’s also Costo-chondritis. I have that. Check into those two conditions and see if it sounds like what you’re experiencing. Western Medicine doctors don’t understand Fibro. They just treat symptoms without trying to figure out the underlying causes. I’m going to see a Functional Medicine doctor. They and Naturopathic doctors think outside the box and that’s what we need! Hope you can find some relief.

    Thank you very much for the video. I suffer from fibromyalgia since 2003. I have been fortunate having good help from my physician and rheumatologist. With the medical aspect and diagnosis. Unfortunately it is difficult to get the physical help. This video helps a lot. A very good way to get the body going. Is it possible to get a pdf of the diagnosis picture? Regards from Sweden

    Dr Rowe I have every day pain in the back and buttocks due to an old back injury and fibromyalgia, is there one special exercise I could concentrate on, if so, do I do these exercises every day ? Many thanks once again.

    As soon as we decide to move, it hurts, my thing is to convince myself that the pain is just information that I have to ignore, that my muscles and joints are intact and functional, it's just the information received which is bad. For significant efforts, there is a peak to overcome and then the pain decreases and becomes manageable for a movement that initially seemed impossible to do. If you have physical activities to do, start slowly but don't stop and once you warm up it will be easier.

    It’s a nerve disease not a muscle disease. Many exercises and diets give short term relief but don’t get comfortable because it will come back if it really is fibromyalgia

    Pendulum swing does help with the upper back tension especially if you work sitting like myself, consistent circulation is a big part of it for me personally. Be careful to not overdue the arm stuff I find the shoulders can get sore in different areas if not pacing yourself.

    Is the "Bird Dog" the same type of movement my old chiropractor called the "Superman", but was done using an exercise ball?

    • @DrRowe
      @DrRowe  9 месяцев назад +2

      Superman is very similar to the bird dog (including the muscles worked). If you're able to do it on a ball, it's more challenging and will really help with balance.
