"It is a period of civil war". I don't think anyone in the Star Wars franchise can have an opinion without being bashed anymore. I mean I love the sequels. *Raises Shield*
if he accepted credits it would be because tatooine would be part of the republic, therefore Anakin wouldn't have been a slave and would be somewhere else
Episode 5 was my favorite as a kid until Episode 3! Revenge of the Sith is my absolute favorite. Anakin's confusion and turmoil, the action, epic intro, Mustafar lightsaber battle, epic lines! "Hello there"; "I hate you", the parallel scene between Padme giving birth and Vader's operation was brilliant. The ending was a perfect transition to the next trilogy.
It's my 2nd favorite Star Wars Film. Heres my list 1. Empire Strikes Back 2. Revenge of the Sith 3. Return of the Jedi 4. A New Hope 5. Rogue One 6. Han Solo 7. Attack of the Clones 8. Phantom Menace 9. Force Awakens 10. Battle for Endor 11. Rise of Skywalker 12. Courage of Caravan 13. The Last Jedi 14. A Holiday Special I really enjoy the original trilogy alot. The prequels I enjoy way more than the sequels. The sequels for me are really disappointing. I did like the 2 spin off films though. Those make more sense than the sequels which I feel contradict the movies. I dont consider than sequels canon but fan Fiction. For starters they contradict Vader being the chosen 1 to bring balance to the force accomplished ep 6. Now your saying that doesnt matter anymore and now have all these new characters 30 years later with no full explanation on what happened. My other 2 biggest problems with the sequels is 1. I dont like any of the new characters 2. There is way many questions left unanswered all 3 movies. When I saw the prequels and original trilogy I didnt have tons of questions being confused on stuff left unanswered.
Theres so many children or people who arent old enough too see RotJ in theatres love Sith because its the first not bad star wars movie they saw live. Many also like the dark aspect, although I hardly cared for Anakins character ark because he's an unlikeble dick and a failure up until he saves Lukes ass. Revenge of the Sith so beloved and its problems are so casually overlooked that its gotten too be overrated.
@@joebuck4957 I dont get why so many hate on the prequels and love the sequels better. The prequels are not perfect, well the 1st and 2nd have some boring moments with the court room stuff. But the action, jedi battles, and main heros and villians are far more interesting and entertaining to watch vs the sequels in my opinion. So many great epic fights, wars and battles in ep1, 2, and 3. The same cant be said for the sequels. Now let's compare the main hero and villians each films. Obi Wan overall is the main hero of the 3 but we also have qui gon, anakin sort of gray until he turns bad ep 3. Yoda, and Mace plus the rest of the jedi council. Than for villians it's mainly Darth sidious but there is also darth maul, count dokku, and general Grievous. In sequels we have rey poe and finn. And for villians hux, Snoke, and kylo ren. In my opinion these new characters are way worse than the ones I mention in the prequels.
@@oliverqueen9886 the biggest and only problem with the pres was Lucas was the director and main screenwriter. He created this universe give him credit but he should of handed out the directing and screenwriter dutys too real pros like he did in empire and Return
I remember as a kid getting Darth Maul's saber. My neighbor had Qui Gon Jinn's. We literally would saber fight for weeks after school....and then 1 day my Darth maul saber snapped in half play fighting...I wasn't angry...I literally thought "WOW IT"S JUST LIKE THE MOVIE!!!!"
That just goes to show you that star wars fans just wanted to hate new star wars just because it's new star wars. There's nothing wrong with the cross guard lightsaber although it may be unnecessary.
Revenge of the with was always my favourite. I just loved the way Anakin’s life got ruined in days and all the drama surrounding that. It was also really cool to see how he turned to the dark side!
@@Nate-Turner23 Not only that, but the whole ball started rolling in The Phantom Menace when Qui Gon died during the duel of the fates. The first and most impactful duel of the fates, for Anakin's fate and all those he would later go on to harm or destroy. That's why I appreciate Anakin's attitude in Attack of the Clones. It wasn't like he was "whiny" for no reason, he had nobody to confide in except Padme and the dark lord of the sith himself. The Jedi constantly pressured him to avoid attachment.
@@Nate-Turner23 Frankly, the biggest was Ahsoka leaving. The Jedi, maybe not the Council specifically, but many Jedi, some on the Council, tried to help him. But he didn't trust them, because all of them, save for Plo Koon, voted against Ahsoka, and betrayed his trust. And so, he barely trusted them, let alone listened to them. Plus, Ahsoka wasn't there to help him.
I know George got a lot of backlash about putting Hayden as a replacement of the original actor for Return of the Jedi. But I thought it was sentimental and represented a symbol of; Anakin going back to a time when he WAS Anakin. He died when he became Darth Vader, like Obiwan said. I really enjoyed that change
I never saw a logistical problem with Hayden appearing in ROTJ. Originally, Vader died and his spirit cast off his cybernetics, repaired the appearance of his damaged flesh, gave him hair and Jedi robes... so why not return him to his ‘purer’ young Jedi form?
@@Pooply21 How so? Personally I say it solidifies his redemption because it's him going back to a time of peace when he wasn't in a metal suit of pain and agony. I can see it both ways, don't get me wrong - I just like the consistency of it
Bournefort cuz Star Wars theory is a REAL Star Wars fan . He just loves Star Wars altogether and the Star Wars universe and the prequels show the universe the most
Lol the sequels being "bad" doesnt magically make the prequels good. Prequels are still bad. I'll take any of the sequels over any prequel movie, but I personally dont mind the prequels. I can watch any of them and still enjoy myself. The problem is people feel the need to bash down either a sequel/prequel movie in order to lift the other and thats just ridiculous and not the case. I strongly believe you can find joy in any episode from 1-9. And I like TLJ, clearly there is good in TLJ as well
When I was a kid and saw Hayden in episode 6 I thought wow they really did a good job at finding an actor in the prequels who looks exactly like the original guy
When i was a kid I was confused because I thought that Ben Kenobi was just Ewan McGregor but old, because I didn’t know that the originals were filmed before the prequels. 😐
When I saw the originals after I had watched the prequels as a kid, I was like “why do they have such a shitty quality” without realizing it was shot in the 70s and 80s, 16-20 years before the prequel Series
I watched Return of the Jedi as a 10 year old child in the movie theater. It was one of the memorable movies experiences that I ever experienced. The scene when Palpatine was shocking Luke with the force lightning was intense. And then when Vader picked up the Emperor to save his son the whole theater erupted in cheers.
I was 13 when return of the Jedi came out. I saw it three times in the theaters this was before we had VHS tapes and could rewatch it multiple times at home. If you wanted to see it again, you paid to go. And every time I watch this movie I was literally on the edge of my seat the last 30 minutes. To see the three conflicts constantly interchanging on the screen. Knowing that they were deciding the fate of the galaxy for centuries to come. Would evil win against good. With the death Star take out the rebel fleet. Would our heroes on the moon be overwhelmed and wiped out? Who knew. And the emperor's cackling baiting evil voice narrating the whole thing Made your blood boil. When Luke is being tortured to death you felt yourself cringing as if you were being struck with lightning. And when Darth Vader suddenly changes, grabs the emperor and throws into his death you felt this great release. All this tension built up over three movies and almost 10 years meant that good definitely triumphed over evil in the end. It was a wonderful fairy tale to grow up with. I don't think anything that's come after has captured that magic.
@@GMPranav because they actually rehearsed with a trained martial artist (Ray Park) and didn’t just flop a lightsaber around lifelessly. It felt like they were REALLY trying to hit each other, which made it look more realistic and better IMO.
Remember, the first trilogies dialogue was clunky too but we got invested because of the world building and the characters. The prequels did this as well but definitely focused more on world building and lore than character. If you look past it all and see that the prequels and original trilogy are fundamentally different but the same, the prequels can be quite enjoyable.
@@thewalkingcontrarian257 In fact the prequels are more enjoyable. The originals are more classy but feel a bit like documentaries in some parts. The prequels' scenes either were straight up were interesting or were pure memes. So either way they were enjoyable.
The action I can definitely agree with. Rogue One arguably has some of the best action scenes in the final act....... but the characters are so so unmemorable. I've seen it all the way through at least 5 or 6 times and I honestly cannot remember any of the names except for the Droid K2SO, which speaks volumes lol
@@darkknightniner9862 for me, in a weird way, that’s part of what makes it good. There are so many characters that band together to make the ultimate sacrifice, that it’s more so the act itself that is remembered rather than the people behind it. Idk if that makes sense but I don’t fault the movie so much for it
@@Dustyholes The OT are classics and well remembered. The prequels (and sequels, for that matter) are well remembered but aren't classic, nor will they ever be. Prequels aren't well received and beloved in a way for them to reach a classic status. Yes, many classics were given bad reviews back in the day (The Thing, Blade Runner), but the prequels haven't aged like that. They're still weakly written, acted, edited etc. They're not movies that will be loved by audiences 40 years from now in the same way the OT is now in 2020, nor have they had a similar cultural impact.
One thing about episode 6 that I’ll always love is that Luke is wearing black throughout the entire movie and only when Vader is redeemed does the white show beneath
@Senior SEO Specialist I'm not calling you crazy, but genuinely would love to hear your major bullet points on what puts Phantom Menace above all of the original trilogy, let alone atop all of the prequels.
@Senior SEO Specialist It can't "set the tone for the whole saga" when 3 of the movies came out decades before it. ANH set the tone for the whole saga. The prequel trilogy as a whole did a good job of being creative with new worlds, aliens, and lore, but Phantom Menace as a film is just a mess. You should watch documentary on the making of it (it's free on RUclips). It's really eye-opening and I think us much better than the actual movie itself. Plus it shows why it became such a trainwreck.
@Senior SEO Specialist Lol he may be a part of why TPM is bad, but there are MANY reasons why TPM is a really bad tragic mess of a movie. I still firmly believe Episode 1 should have started with Anakin being the age he is in episode 2 or around then and then have Episode 2 be smack dab in the middle of the Clone Wars itself.
@@darkknightniner9862 I think its an age thing, a lot or people say it was childish, well I was a child when it came out. Episode 1 is what started my love for star wars. While it maybe didn't set the tone for the franchise it certainly set the scene, one of the things I find so frustrating about episodes 4-9 (Dont hate them btw) is how vague and simplistic the explanations for everything is everything is (Palpitine somehow came back, endless supplies of doomsday machines etc). Episodes 1-3 put what's going on into context and that's super important to some people but I appreciate that its not so important to others. Also the lightsabre combat was cool as F*#@.
@@shaunreid6851 I was 7 when Episode 1 came out and I may have liked it at the time, but it didn't take me getting much older to realize how bad episode 1 and 2 are.
I feel like there has to be an equal appreciation for the franchise, as a whole. I'm personally not a big fan of 2 and 3, but I appreciate their place and significance to the series overall.

@@heisenberg4659 The reason why old Anakin was ther first is because his final moments was him redeeming himself and becoming Anakin The Jedi one last time.
I didn’t grow up watching Star Wars and only got into it the past few months, but Revenge of the Sith is one of my all time favorite movies now. Anakin’s story arc made him one of my favorite characters of all time too. Everyone is hard on him cause he’s the chosen one. All he wants to do is good, but he’s emotionally messed up because of the hardships he had growing up and the dogmatic ways of the Jedi. When he has the vision of Padme dying, he can’t even tell anyone cause of the Jedi code. Sheev was the only one “trying” to save his wife even if it for his own selfish ways. Anakin saw no other choice but to turn and save Padme. It’s far from a perfect movie, but it’s a damn good one with some great moments. Glad he appreciates it too!
If you think episode 3 is good from just watching the movies, go watch all of the Clone Wars TV series. It makes episode 3 SO gut wrenching. The first season or two are a bit of a drag at times, but it’s worth it.
I agree with all your points. I enjoyed ROTS and Anakin's reason for turning although I felt it was a bit rushed in the movie. That said, I've been watching since a young kid in the 80's so I always considered Empire to be my favorite. I tend to go back and forth between Empire & ANH but why I lean more towards Empire is the fact all the characters have been introduced already and I like that there is a history there. Also, I love listening to soundtracks and well, you can't go wrong with John Williams especially with scores like Yoda's theme and the Imperial March. So iconic!
Sithex always heard great things about the first 6 movies, but none of my friends or family really loved/watched them. I saw Force Awakens and The Last Jedi when they came out, but didn’t really love them (mainly didn’t understand parts cause of not seeing the other movies/appreciate the old characters coming back). Also didn’t have a great way of watching the movies. It wasn’t until Disney Plus came out and I started watching The Mandalorian that I started to really get into Star Wars (so really only like a month and a half).
@@JK-Visions the final confrontation of return of the Jedi is my favorite half hour in the whole series. I just think it slogged along a bit before getting there.
Yeah, speaking of the experience of seeing the original trilogy in the theater... I guess when Vader told Luke that he was his father, it was a mind blowing surprise reveal. And everyone was shocked. Kinda weird to think about for most, since it's one of the most famous lines in movie history. Many people hear the line before they watch the movie. I know I did.
Yeah nobody saw it coming, not even most of the actors in the film, it was so secret that during the original filming of that scene, Vader actually said “Obi-Wan killed your father” (which to be fair would also be very shocking)
I think Rogue one is extremely underrated. It puts the “war” and “Star Wars.” It really was a war movie. It showed the sacrifices you have to make in war and it felt different in a good way for me. They gave us likable characters and had a sad yet also hopeful ending. Edit: I know is cringe and I’m sorry but this is a miracle. My most liked comment is a super opinionated statement that also disagrees with the guy in the video. That’s insane. Thanks.
Fax bro it was a great movie I hate 7-9 with a burning passion(more than I should. But I respect rouge one and solo they were great. The only reason I dislike 7-9 isn’t because they weren’t good movies but rather how they messed with 1-6 and the canon beforehand. Like when palpatine came back completely diminishing anikans sacrifice
Jamari Davis also with the empire coming back as the first order and the territorial and economic de facto power in the galaxy(new republic) being the underdog AGAIN despite the rebels having killed the empire in the originals and should now be dominant... tf? Also hehe death star 3 and planet kill spaceships
Honestly I think rogue one is overrated really only the last 45 min are good and the characters aren’t that developed so I don’t feel for them when they die and for a prequel it relies to much on you seeing the other movies

Memo Pin Rots didn’t “rely” on a tv show. The movie is good as it is even without the Clone Wars. The Clone Wars just made an already great movie even better.

N_JAMES Oh I love the movie but I think the story is meh. They decided to include like 10 new characters and none of them really get any sort of development. K2SO is really what gets me going through the first two acts because he’s hilarious and I think it’s a very slow crawl to get to the final battle, which is one of the best in Star Wars. And that Darth Vader scene is perfect. But all in all, the best stuff from that movie comes from old references and not anything new. I don’t know if it stands up to Revenge of the Sith as the best prequel movie, but it’s certainly the best movie Disney has created. Then again that’s not a high standard.
One of my teachers at school was the biggest star wars nerd ever, I considered myself to be a star wars nut but this man literally knew EVERYTHING. I asked him this question and because hes a boomer and an original trilogy man I expected to get a reply along the lines of, "I love the originals, but apart from the originals they are all average". To my suprise the wise man himself replied swiftly with.... Rogue One!!! I was bamboozled and asked him why? He went on to explain that Revenge of the sith is undebatably the most cinematically brilliant and beautiful movie and the originals were also his favourite, but he said that Rogue one was a brilliant story but also gave such amazing info on all of the films and tied so much together which he loved, he said he grew so much love for the other films because of Rogue one and thats why it is his favourite. A very interesting theory and a great opinion if I say so myself.
Will Helmrich My supervisor is a huge star wars fan and in his late 60s and he said that Rouge one was his favorite followed by last jedi. I told him he is the only person i know who likes last jedi haha
Revenge of the Sith is my favorite, the more you watch it, the more you appreciate Hayden's adaptation and evolution ofAnakin/Vader. You also have to appreciate how subtly Anakin was filmed, you l look closely and he was darkened, or in the shadows in pivotal parts of the film, not to mention his black 'independent Jedi' robe quietly screams dark side. The movie is also just relentless in iconic and cinematic moments from the opening beautiful space battle, the fight with Dooku, the Opera scene, the Grievous fight, the depressing Order 66 montage, Anakin killing Mace Windu defending Palps and FINALLY giving into the dark side, the battle of the two most powerful weilders of the force (Yoda/Palpatine), and of course the Duel on Mustafar, beautifully choreographed and horribly depressing. This movie itself really allows you to put yourself in the shoes of Vader by empathizing his hatred and anger with nobody, but himself. He's not just a senseless monster, his fall to the dark side was gradual and methodically told by Lucas and his team I love this movie
I love the switching between the mustafar duel and the duel in the senate, and the fact that Palpatine is just laughing and having fun because he knows that he has already won. Ian, Hayden, Ewan and Natalie did an amazing job in this film, I love it so much. By far my favorite movie ever

I think the point of the first six movies were to anakin and luke bring balance to the force an destroy the sith(the last of them palpatine) so he must've stayed dead [kylo and snoke were just darksiders]

Love it! #3: A New Hope. Old but gold. Always amazes me when i come back to it. #4: Return of the Jedi. Weak at the start but iconic towards the end. Best space battle. #5: Phantom Menace. Bad CGI and some other flaws. But has the best lightsaber fight and the Pod race. #6: Attack of the Clones. Absolute horrible dialogue between Anakin and Padme. But Obi-Wans plotline and a decent climax saves it. Decent movies: Solo & Rogue One Trash can: The whole Disney trilogy. Force Awakens sucks as bad as the other two. Anakin turning to the dark side is the best thing that has happend to star wars, so ofcourse its the best movie! The only film that can surpass it ever would be a Solo Dark vader movie.

I trust you that it was good. . . . all I know is my own experience, which was seeing it in the theater, which included sleeping through about two thirds of the movie, coming in and out, and then fully waking up at the dumb vader scene at the end. . . . it is all very vague in my memory. but this is my flawed way of judging movies. . .. if I sleep through most of it, then fuck that movie. I also hate the batman movie with heath ledger for the same reason. . . . it should not be difficult for me to stay awake through a good movie. I definitely slept through most of that batman movie that everyone loves. . . . but now that im thinking of it and trying to remember the movie. . . . it is sort of baffling to me that people like it so much. I remember waking up at one point and there was a weird robot looking villain surfing on lava. . . . did I dream that? or was it really that dumb. . . . cuz I remember waking up and then consciously deciding to go back to sleep at that point, cuz the lava just felt like i'd rather be sleeping now, then playing lava monster like i'm still five years old. so I chose to sleep, at the lava scene. it seemed like a better use of my time.

So he was directed to deliver his lines somewhat similar to James Earl Jones, so they would have some semblance to Vader's voice. I think that's why a lot of it came across as clunky
Rogue One is one of the best Star Wars movies. It was great. I also think Revenge of the Sith is the best, it's seriously underrated, as is the prequel series in general.
@Fish Boy It's great. Krannick is by far the most intriguing new villain. Great world building. Expanding the SW without destroying it. Fun action scenes. We see the Empire at their peak and they impose an actual threat. It's a good SW movie.
The best thing about Revenge of the Sith is that even if you know how it ends you always hope that Anakin doesn't turn to the dark side and that order 66 doesn't happen. That Palpatine gets killed by Yoda. But then you arrive at those moments and your mind is blown up by the simple vision of those scenes for how dark they are. This happens everytime, at least for me.
Joshua White I respect it. But the first 6. Like it or not. Made Star Wars. None of the sequels shaped or helped shape what Star Wars is. Gorge just passed the rock to them after he already made it legendary. The sequels would not be as successful without others. In fact, it would be hot garbage or would have never existed
A new hope is the worst of the original trilogy. Its plot is unoriginal and it has some cheesy dialogue with substandard acting at times. It also has some plot points that either don't make sense, conflict with other, or are just dumb.
@@joshmundy895 Well what you call unoriginal and cliche was pretty much invented in the first Star Wars. The way we view ANH now didn't happen in 1977. I would say it was probably the greatest movie of its time. That's why I believe movies are best viewed considering the mindset of the time it was released in. With modern day standards it's just harder to appreciate older movies because we've seen it all. I'd say episode 6 is the worst of the original trilogy for exactly your reasons.. It's unoriginal. Another Deathstar..; Empire's "legion of best soldier" defeated by Ewoks.. The movie was only saved by Luke's and Anakin's redemption.
I personally hate it. It makes no sense for him to appear that way, when Obi Wan looks how he did when he died, and Luke wouldn’t recognize young Anakin, unlike in the original version where Sebastian Shaw looks the way Vader did without the mask

My favorite part of the holiday special is when they groan and grunt and theres no subtitles .Uh its just the best . I think lumpy's character develop was amazing
My favorites are definitely Episodes 1-6. I’m also a huge Prequel fan. Hard to put them in order. Empire Strikes Back and Attack of the Clones are usually my top two (Jango is probably my favorite Star Wars character also Han) Episode I has so much nostalgia for me as a kid being excited for the new (at the time) Star Wars movie. I also think it gets too much hate. As far as the Disney movies go. I’m sorry they are mostly trash. Rogue One was good and Solo was decent (want to see crimson dawn play out) Episode VII was ok-ish The other two are equally as horrible with bad character development and confusing ends that have endless unanswered questions. They did nothing worth while with Finn’s character, Rey was just so good at the force with zero training, Kylo had potential to be a true bad ass and turned into a pussy, and the rest of it was filled with blue check mark SJW crap. You can tell Rose Tico was tossed in just because “we need an Asian”. And Laura Derns purple hair made me want to puke. Not to mention they completely made Anakin’s character arc virtually useless. The Mandalorian was pretty darn good (not happy about the Way they did Gina) The book of Boba Fett had high hopes but is starting to slip with some cringy stuff, but is still not too bad. The Clone Wars series was fantastic! Rebels wasn’t too far behind, but cringy at times.
Phantom Menace is criminally underrated. It's the story of an adoptive father betting everything in his world on the success of his son. The people closest to Anakin would be Padme and Obi-Wan, but neither of them believed they should bet their entire mission on Anakin at the pod race. Qui-Gon did, and he would've sacrificed his career to give the boy the opportunity to become his best self.

@@NoOne0527 The only thing I can personally think of that ROTS does better is maybe the music, choreography, and visuals. But in my opinion, ESB is objectively the best Star Wars film to be made.
I love revenge of the sith, it’s a really good film and I have to admit, I would watch it more that the empire strikes back but the empire strikes back has such a special place in my heart and the flaws of revenge of the sith always get overlooked, I think the empire strikes back is insane and Luke’s plot of thinking he’s good enough to face Vader but then miserably failing is really good. The film is a cinematic classic and I think it’s easily the best and my favourite.
Steven Knight on top of that you have people that hate the sequels for no reason at all.The only reason I keep seeing is because Disney supposedly ruined the Star Wars legacy.
This was also my favorite but the one that I was probably most frustrated with in terms of execution. The dialogue and action scenes were sensationally cheesy and it seemed like a big missed opportunity for the most action-packed and story-driven episode of any of them.

It came out my birthday weekend and my grandma took me to see it opening night and again that Sunday because I loved it so much. And bought me a ton of the toys. I am still just so fond of that movie. Say what you want about Jar Jar, but he made me laugh when I needed to laugh.

I really enjoy the original trilogy alot. My other 2 biggest problems with the sequels is
1. I dont like any of the new characters

I know George got a lot of backlash about putting Hayden as a replacement of the original actor for Return of the Jedi.

I like that two, it's so intensive to my heart (in a good way).
I never saw a logistical problem with Hayden appearing in ROTJ. Originally, Vader died and his spirit cast off his cybernetics, repaired the appearance of his damaged flesh, gave him hair and Jedi robes... so why not return him to his ‘purer’ young Jedi form?

K5 being a REAL Star Wars fan doesn’t mean you have to like the prequels
When I was a kid and saw Hayden in episode 6 I thought wow they really did a good job at finding an actor in the prequels who looks exactly like the original guy

When i was a kid I was confused because I thought that Ben Kenobi was just Ewan McGregor but old, because I didn’t know that the originals were filmed before the prequels. 😐
i thought that they had thought that Hayden Christensen would play Anakin when he is older so they used cgi to make him look older.
Same
When I saw the originals after I had watched the prequels as a kid, I was like “why do they have such a shitty quality” without realizing it was shot in the 70s and 80s, 16-20 years before the prequel Series
I watched Return of the Jedi as a 10 year old child in the movie theater. It was one of the memorable movies experiences that I ever experienced. The scene when Palpatine was shocking Luke with the force lightning was intense. And then when Vader picked up the Emperor to save his son the whole theater erupted in cheers.
my all time favorite star wars scene. So good.

@Senior SEO Specialist Lol he may be a part of why TPM is bad, but there are MANY reasons why TPM is a really bad tragic mess of a movie. I have never hated the phantom menace. Every movie has parts you don’t like. Sure Jar Jar is annoying, but it had duel of the fates, you learn what life was like before, and you start to see the seeds planted for what will happen next. Plus I knew about the reveal in empire strikes back, so it was the first movie I truly ever watched all the way through to begin my Star Wars movie run so it is special to me for that.

So iconic!
Interesting, can I ask what age demographic you are for the sake of curiosity and scientific purposes.
Hyperrunner 18-24yo
Sithex always heard great things about the first 6 movies, but none of my friends or family really loved/watched them. I saw Force Awakens and The Last Jedi when they came out, but didn’t really love them (mainly didn’t understand parts cause of not seeing the other movies/appreciate the old characters coming back). Also didn’t have a great way of watching the movies. It wasn’t until Disney Plus came out and I started watching The Mandalorian that I started to really get into Star Wars (so really only like a month and a half).
As a film fan, empire strikes back is the best. As a Star Wars fan, revenge of the sith is the best.

Yes, Rogue one is amazing, starts up the first three movies perfectly, big shock when the entire group of main characters die. Great movie
Honestly I think rogue one is overrated really only the last 45 min are good and the characters aren’t that developed so I don’t feel for them when they die and for a prequel it relies to much on you seeing the other movies
Def underrated for the characters and slightly the story
The clone wars show made Revenge of the Sith so much better than it already was.

Yeah but what about the other 2 hours of movie?
i hope they make a darth vader spinoff and they just do way more of him just slaughtering enemies
Palpatine was at his absolute best in Revenge Of The Sith

Mine would have to be:
1 Revenge of the sith
2 return of the Jedi
3 Attack of the clones
4 Empire strikes back
5 A new hope
6 phantom menace
Honestly though, I like them all
But what about Holiday Special ?
Still better than the Last Jedi
@@metaloutlawguts2853 I like the last jedi
My favorite part of the holiday special is when they groan and grunt and theres no subtitles .Uh its just the best . I think lumpy's character develop was amazing
& the Clone wars movie & the Ewok Movies?
Not official and not Canon
My favorites are definitely Episodes 1-6. I’m also a huge Prequel fan. Hard to put them in order. Empire Strikes Back and Attack of the Clones are usually my top two (Jango is probably my favorite Star Wars character also Han) Episode I has so much nostalgia for me as a kid being excited for the new (at the time) Star Wars movie. I also think it gets too much hate.
As far as the Disney movies go. I’m sorry they are mostly trash.
Rogue One was good and Solo was decent (want to see crimson dawn play out)
Episode VII was ok-ish
The other two are equally as horrible with bad character development and confusing ends that have endless unanswered questions.
The Mandalorian was pretty darn good (not happy about the Way they did Gina)
The book of Boba Fett had high hopes but is starting to slip with some cringy stuff, but is still not too bad.
Ok AoTc isnt bad but being above RoTs & RoTj is Just Questionable
I agree with everything u said
@@B463L I don't understand why it gets so much hate
guess its the fat nerds who wanted george lucas to remake the ot over again
@@B463L I like the story but it’s told in such a boring and messy way. There’s tons of issues of it from every level of filmmaking. I’m honestly surprised people give TPM and AOTC so much slack, then nitpick every detail of the sequels

The writing on episode five has yet to be matched in Star Wars. That dialogue is fire. Mando comes close.
Ooooo yessss but this will be controversial
If you’re talking about pure dialogue then I would agree. But there’s some things that revenge of the sith does better.
@@NoOne0527 The only thing I can personally think of that ROTS does better is maybe the music, choreography, and visuals. But in my opinion, ESB is objectively the best Star Wars film to be made.
@@adendeleon2181 well that’s your opinion. I think there’s more then just those 3 things that ROTS was the best at, we just have to agree to disagree.
@@adendeleon2181 and it’s impossible to be “objectively the best Star Wars movie”, taste in movies is all subjective.
I love his list because he doesn’t care what the critics have said and hasn’t been influenced, he strictly has his opinion and stays by it
opinions can be changed
Strict opinions are worthless and I don’t think he’s strict at all, opinions are ever changing
Yeah. I don't think that's specific to just him.
Agreed
Steven Knight on top of that you have people that hate the sequels for no reason at all.The only reason I keep seeing is because Disney supposedly ruined the Star Wars legacy.
You: Palpatine is thrown over the railing and dies
Me: Hold that thought
Disney*: hold that thought
Daniel Lopez he did die tho
Oh you poor child
Candy Kane 201 who me?
He did die
1. Revenge of the Sith, prob watched it like over 100 times and never got tired of it
The clones are too good to pass up
Same!
This was also my favorite but the one that I was probably most frustrated with in terms of execution. The dialogue and action scenes were sensationally cheesy and it seemed like a big missed opportunity for the most action-packed and story-driven episode of any of them.
The acting and direction is atrocious.
the supposedly emotional final battle at the end is completely devoid of emotion because there never was any
@@star-warsien I just can't believe this is the same guy who also made the Empire Strikes Back it's obviously proof that some management whether his or someone else f*** things up
He's kinda right, it's always a happy ending. That's just the same. I think Star Wars should have both sides win in different ways. Like either side wins but it comes at a price like sacrafice. ROTS and RO r in my top favorites.
I think Rogue One is extremely underrated.

Gotta say it: the prequels are FANTASTIC. All the world building, the expansion of the Jedi and how they worked....all so great!
Yep, right on
hmm rots was but the first two were just bad. People like them more because of the clone wars which is an amazing show but makes people like the first two prequels more
Harrison Ellis just our opinion, opinions can’t be wrong, I just loved the world building and felt connection to the characters. Also, I felt emotions in the prequels that I didn’t in any other trilogy.

I get crap for this all the time, but my #1 favorite is The Phantom Menace. I grew up with no friends or siblings and rewatched the original trilogy daily throughout the 90’s. I was 12 when it came out and I don’t recall a happier time in my childhood. It came out my birthday weekend and my grandma took me to see it opening night and again that Sunday because I loved it so much. And bought me a ton of the toys. I am still just so fond of that movie. Say what you want about Jar Jar, but he made me laugh when I needed to laugh.
