Farmer here. I have a 987.1 and can hold 7 bags of feed in the car without putting any in the passenger area where my golden sits. My local feed supply loves when we visit.
I daily drive my cayman 987 and have a folding bike and although would not fit in the back it did fit on the front seat when I gave it in the bike bag. Great vid and you are preaching to the choir
So I see this video in my feed. Wonder when I ever subscribed to this channel as I did not identify the name. I see the video and go “ah. It’s that guy”. Why all the name changes rainmaker?
Boats are my bag. Just been reading about his name changes on this RUclips boat type channel. The comment section on it reveal an awful lot about this guy... RUclips this.........."""WHITBY 2009 - ian sellars""""
I daily drive my 718C manual and its epic. 40mpg (personal best is 49.8mpg) is easy to achieve and very welcome, especially now the prices are daft... and when you do 50,000+ miles a year. I have a set of winter tyres so have no issues there. £1500 from 9apart. Been to the alps in it and fit all our ski gear in without a roof box, skis included. I grew up through the Colin Mcrae era so the WRX noise doesn't bother me one bit. I considered the 981, but felt the fuel economy and getting something a bit newer was the way to go.
I just surprised my wife with a 987.1 Boxster base for her birthday. She will daily drive it on nice weather days and drive her newer C350 when it is not so nice out.
I daily'd a 981 Boxster for about 4 years and my only complaint was the lack of blind spot monitoring and a backup camera. I've since got a 2017 718 Boxster that I plan to own for the foreseeable future and it's fantastic
I drive my Boxster in the summer and my Cayenne in the Winter. I am a computer tech so i haul computers and computer parts. The Cayenne back cargo area is fantastic for storagend hauling. The boxster i have to divide up between the front and back to where i put groceries or computers but for the most part i can manage.
Totally! I have done 11000 miles in the last year with my 981s Boxster Every journey is an adventure and its a fantastic daily driver. I average 30mpg per tank and that is a roads, b roads and bypass as well as town driving.
idk if youve updated since this video but, why u wearing a rode mic on your shirt when this videos audio is clearly coming from the camera instead of the dedicated mic on your shirt? . what happened
Every time I can, I go to work on my 987 Boxster, but sometimes is hard to carry all my painting gear on it! Not to mention people go a bit funny when a scruffy chap comes out of it with painting overalls.
Great video Satch, very informative! I've been following your channel for sometime now, love it great info and your channel has really helped me with Porsche knowledge. I'm looking to buy my first Porsche at the moment with a 25 to 30k budget. Thinking Cayman S 987.2 manual, I'd be interested to know what you would recommend for my budget? Great work chap keep it up 👍🏻

I daily drive my Boxster, mostly highway, so, yeah it's a fun flashy way to get to a drab job!
Ohhhhhhhhh yeah. Love mine too.
My Techart front spoiler just came in. Just wanted to let you know because your Cayman inspired me to make that purchase.

It's gorgeous. Still needs the smoked out GTS rear lights though.

Daily drive a Boxster S 981 from May 1,- October 31, and the two storage front and back more space space then most sedans
I have. including in the winter in Colorado. just swap tires
Yes, I used my Boxster as a daily driver when my other car was down.
Great video. Where did you get that front splitter?
GTS versions are lowered. Mine hits bottom and the 20" rim can't run in winter. (Still love the car though!)
from where did you get the decals?
Well it hold a set of golf clubs?
Yes. That’s what passenger seat is for
35mpg isn't all that great considering I can get 31mpg on my Mustang GT 5.0
You can, but you really don’t.
Yes
no way that the boxster is prices from 22000 pound. In germany you dont get a decent one under 40k
I DD my Boxster.
