The blind spot camera feed should be placed on the driver instrument screen rather than the center display..
Yes! Or it should let me move the video feed around the main screen. Bottom center is a bad spot!
Got my Model X Plaid 6/16 and love it. By far the best and most fun car I have ever owned!
I had a Mercedes S500 4-matic W221 2011 some years ago. It also had a swivel screen. It´s a smart design.

There's a scene in the movie where a ship goes so fast that it causes a visual plaid effect.
Hence the version of the car being called "Plaid"
Best model x video! Thank you. Its so hard to find videos on the X. I just got my 2023 long range X (plaid was a bit too much for me 😭) but my front doors dont open all the way automatically. They only open about 5 inches. I read that after january 2023 this was changed. Can you confirm this?

Blind spot cameras shoud be in the center console screen like in KIA Sportage 22.
Fyi: the redesigned taillights is for CCS compatibility in Europe and the front lights have Matrix LED.

I would absolutely use the swivel screen and have it facing me more. It’s never made sense to me that it was not moves or in the center making it a little hard to see from the driver seat…. If I had a Tesla!

How’s the build quality? That’s the only concern before my buying plan.
As for the swivel screen, if the car doesn't have it enabled, it doesn't have the motors. It has the other hardware for it, though
there are a lot of instances where tesla has hardware installed but software locked

If the windscreen cracks how much is a replacement?
Do you mean shatter or just a crack? Because a crack is way easier to fix but depends on the size of the crack obviously.
Also insurance. Generally a cracked windshield isn't your fault.
@@lachlanB323 yeah if the windscreen shatters and needs to be replaced. I'm sure the insurance would cover it but isnt there an excess u have to pay and that can be quite high. I'm from Australia so it may be different in the states.
They total the car if the windshield cracks. LOL

Great video. 2 things - the models that don’t have the tilting screen lack the motors so the feature can’t easily be added without retrofitting the screen and the Model X Plaid is about 5K more than the equally equipped S Plaid

BMW will be charging $18 mo for heated seats in it's new cars.
I forsee Tesla going even further with monthly services.

Right now there’s no reason to not get this over the s plaid. Same price for 2 additional seats, falcon doors, way more practical future proof for families

I'd love to get rid of that side mirror.
It’s always amazing and frustrating to realize how difficult it is to make something works perfectly and yet simple to understand. Tesla’s blind spot detection feature is a good example of how they unnecessarily complicated a simple but working design. My 30k Hondas and Toyotas has a blind spot defection that works 100% of the time. Whenever a car is in my collision course, a yellow light lights up. If I turn on a turn signal, it start beeping and flashes the yellow light. Steering wheel also shakes. Simple, but works 100%.
Tesla, not so much. Not only you cannot really tell the car’s distance from you, there is not much visual and audio warnings. The auto pilot does not work 100% of the time.
In essence, they changed a very functional simplistic feature to something that is counter intuitive to use and most importantly, less secure.
How are the first two “amazing features” also “huge problems”💀💀

The Model X is not slightly cheaper than the Model S at current prices
I was at Mercedes today. I say in the new C-class again, the EQS (again) and the new S-class (again). My car is on preorder.
Then I headed over to tesla to check out the Model S Plaid. They have made "some" improvements on their interior, but sad to say, even the A or C-class are far more upscale than even these $150,000 Teslas.
Probably because the model S isn't a 150k car. It was supposed to be cheaper then the old performance model S but because of demand they've increased the price to a crazy 150k. Still better than an EQS in my opinion because of the charging infrastructure and infotainment system. Being able to watch RUclips, Netflix and play video games while you wait for something? Yes please!
@@lachlanB323 model x and s plaid are $150k. You're buying a car because you can watch Netflix? Bwahahaha. And the plaid versions aren't really anything different than the regular versions.

Fantastic car. But they fucked up in two respects - seats and boot space.
Only offering the X Plaid with 6 seat is a mistake in my opinion.
Some people would much prefer a traditional 5 seat setup that then allows for some boot space too. Very handy for family holidays and such.
It's a massive oversight and I'd really like Tesla to stop calling the X an SUV. It's not. It's an MPV with no capacity for any storage.
Come on Tesla, sort your shit out and make an ACTUAL SUV please.
