This car is something amazing, I got to do a ride-along and it's incredible how well it performs. I currently own a 2020 Hyundai Elantra GT N-line so I've never really experienced a fast car, I never knew what these cars were capable of, or really any capable car. Where does it end is right. 1000hp Challenger? 800hp C8? Musclecar era 2.0 is an amazing time to be alive. The only problem here is affordability. Back in the late '60's, a monster engine was a reasonable upcharge. These beasts are so expensive hardly anyone can afford them. I just hope that whoever can afford a car like this doesn't park it in a garage for 10 years and try to make money on it because it only has 28 miles on it like some jerks are doing with Ford GT's. Drive the snot out of it and let others on the street enjoy your car, if only for the roasted Michelin aroma.

I bought a carbon track pack.. and it's already for sale. On track it's an absolute monster compared to my GT350R, which I've been heavily tracking since 2016.. The GT500 is a numbers car.. not a drivers car. It's absolutely souless on public roads.. boring as it gets. Sorry but as an owner of both these vehicles my vote is on the 350R as the more balanced, engaging and enjoyable experience both on road and on a racetrack. Great review guys.

The gt350r is tremendous. Easily one of the greatest cars ford ever built. Personally i am in the same camp i prefer the 350, specifically on track. That said when you ignore all the road laws 😆. You can probably find a way to have fun with the gt500 on the street.

@@timothycc711 Absolutely. It just goes to show me just how close to perfection the GT350R is.. I drove my 500 for a week or so.. then got back in my R and felt so relieved.. again.. the 500 is a numbers car, the R is a drivers car, in my opinion.

@@jackholmes8105 Yeah but if you get caught horsing around in the 500.. you better hope that cop has a sense of humor because it hits 120 like the 350 hits 75.. I hit 150mph on the back "straight" at Portland raceway with little effort.

Weight is the enemy of performance. This is one of the first times where engineers decided to leave the weight in the vehicle and remediate the issues with counter-measures. I admire the Ford engineers for making a 4200 pound car perform decently on the track. I won't second guess the folks at Ford. I drive a first generation BMW M2 which is the polar opposite and designed for the track. I'll just say they accomplish the same thing.
