With this camera, a gimbal is a must. Catalyst crops so much and funky artifacts. Active stabilization is helpful but not a lot. For video, my A 74 lives on my Ronin 2.
Would be nice to see a video comparison between Olympus om-1 vs R6 vs a7iv i would love to know who has better details in the video which one is more Sharper for video, dynamic range, low light conditions and see the difference, also would be nice see which one has better slow motion
I have the A7IV and while I don't think I'd ever go back to the III, I will say that the colors definitely look better on the III. It's not just the 7IV though, Sony's new color science on the SIII/A1/7IV is all very green-heavy. Look at her skin at 13:39, she looks great on the III and frankly a bit pale and sick on the IV. Look at the tripod at 16:36, the textured black part has a green cast to it on the IV but its nice and black on the III. So annoying, because otherwise the IV is great.
If you use S-Log or HLG or any other flat profile, it shouldn't be an issue to be honest because you're most likely going to colour grade the footage anyway. But very good observation 👍🏼
Thank you for a good video, as always :) Do you know if the a7IV can deliver ProRes RAW to a Atomos V? I have one and quite a few lenses with E mount, and would like the possibility of Raw, now that it should be possibly to edit on my new Mac.
I have not tested the A7S III or FX3, but if I’m not mistaken, they have the Active mode and are compatible with Catalyst, so you should get results that are closer to the A7 IV than the A7 III.
Good job...a lot of information and i am sure it will help me. You are really underrated !!

As always Excellent..

The Sony is best

You can try to reduce the green tint in camera, with the Picture Profiles (color phase and color depth) or the White Balance Adjustment option.

Excellent comparison...
Thanks! 👍

No it can't. Perhaps a future firmware update could enable that, but I have no idea if it will happen or not.
So basically theres no overheating :)?
Did you also run tests in standard heat mode?
Not in standard mode no. Only with the setting set to High.
Hows ibis on iv compared to a7siii/fx3? Is it just same as a7iii?

Wait so the III is better in lowlight than the IV?
If you're talking about high ISO, yes the III has less noise, which makes given the lower megapixel count.
@@MathieuGasquetMirrorLessons but some RUclipsrs Said a7iv is almost same than a7siii...
