Indian music appreciation: Yes! Coming from the West, I don't know anyone else in my circles whose tastes resonate with Indian music. I got used to being one of very few Western commentators on these videos. Not a musician, but my ears can't believe some of the vocal acrobatics in this and other Indian forms of music. The modulated pitches, dramatic chord changes, something similar to a vibrato but uniquely Indian, and a mind-boggling diversity of regional languages across the whole country. Years ago I started with a typical Bollywood playlist (the genre does have its place) but I eventually learned the error of my ways & I'm constantly updating my channel with other Indian genres :D
