If you are having repeated blown fuses, it is most likely the canbus device that is the culprit. I had the issue with the remote and mini screen not working. My canbus device has too plugs on both ends that had to be used. One of those plugs is identical to another plug on the stereo, which I plugged into incorrectly. I would still recommend unhooking the battery. Also, mine was also fuse #10. Correcting the wiring seemed to do the trick, no more blown fuses. My model was from Amazon but I followed the advice from another user and it did the trick.
I’m having the problem with the mini screen staying on. Causing it to drain my battery. Going to take a look into it tomorrow. So would it be that I connect it the canbus device wrong that’s causing it? Thank you

Hey man great video, i noticed on the reverse camera you did not connect the signal wire, can you explain where the unit get signal when you go into reverse?
Before i had the camera connected the headunit already knew when the car was in reverse. Guessing the factory wiring sends an output that lets the car know its in reverse and the headunit utilizes it. I ended up just getting power on the rear tailight bulb which powers the camera.
Thanks, I started filming an update video but still having issues with the camera video output coming on when signaling right. Once I have that removed I'll post an update video.
Late comment but it’s saying no signal because most 9th generation civics have a camera underneath the right mirror either you don’t have it or it isn’t hooked up

Is it possible to just pop out the OEM head unit from a 2014-2015 civic & install an aftermarket unit from say, BestBuy? I'd hate to have to get a whole other head unit cause of this. Thanks.
I just looked at the 14-15 civic headunit. You might be able to do it but I have no idea if the connections are the same.
@@zach_lush thanks!. You think a place like Best buy would install a head unit or just bring it to a professional shop?
Hey where did you get the Dash kit from? I have a 10 inch Car stereo im trying to install but cant find a close enough fit for it.
Link to it is in the bio
hey I was wondering would the old camera work while adding the new stereo ?
I don't believe so
I have the same car, same radio, won't turn on, same fuse blew 😅, replaced it, still not turning on and the worst thing is that even then old radio won't turn on now when I plug it back in.
SMFH 😢
Best I can suggest is check all of your fuses. Including the ones under your steering column.
Yeah you need the passenger mirror with the cam
Yes, we are aware. Our car does not have it and we just want it to not have a video signal when we signal. Seems like a very distracting feature in all honesty.
Hey man, what happened to the little screen aside the cluster?
No issues with mine
@@zach_lush Before installing you had some info there about music playing and a few more things, those display still remain or they gone? i want to get one for my Civic, have you had any problems with the head unit?
@@zach_lush Another thing if you can help me, does it have this function to increase or decrease the brightness when you turn on/off the headlights?
The display still works, but you do lose some features in the mini screen. There's an issue where I signal right and the screen waits for an input. Also yes the screen brightness changes based on your headlights
How to program steering controls and does it make ur imid screen stay on 24/7
Programming should've been shown in the video. Also no, the imid is not on 24/7. You may have to change the vehicle settings through admin settings. This is shown in the video i linked in the description. If this does not help I would reach out to the seller.
how is the quality of the sound ? I bouth one from aliexpress but it has like "static" noise always
Honestly, cant complain. Sounds great considering it still has the factory speakers.
I like when you say. Un poco loco jaja 🤣
Had to leave it in 😂
Hello is it better to get the 2g or 6g one ?
That is the RAM. Basically the more RAM you have the more applications can run at the same time. Typically the device will be more responsive if it has more.
How did you get the music to keep playing when you put the car in reverse?
Honestly, can't remember, did this over a year ago. Just check through your settings.
In the settings (In think in Others) there is one option.
Did you guys replace the fuse?
The same thing happened to me do not just need to take out the battery and try again?
Yes, originally had no idea what was going on when multiple things stopped working properly
@@zach_lushwhere did you guys get the new fuse from and did you replace it immediately or after it had worked?
@@PeterJosephChukwu in the engine bay theres extra. Changed it right away
@@zach_lushthank you so much
Do you have a link for the head unit ?
Check the description!
Thanks very interesting
No problem
My small screen with the time stays on even when I turn off the car any tips ?
I don't have any unfortunately, I'd suggest checking the fuses. But also check the comments, or reach out to the seller.
How did you figure out the wiring?
Just matched up the connections
@@zach_lusheverything is good but I get no audio
@@olympicstudios4131 hmm, id suggest checking your fuses and did it come with a canbus box? If that doesnt work you can try changing the car model the headunit works for. I have an update video where i show how to do that. If that doesn't work i would just reach out to the seller.
Hi. Maybe someone can help me. After connecting the canbus my IMID didn’t turn off. How can I fix it? Thanks in advance
Unfortunately I am not help for this, I would reach out to the seller of the radio.
Go to setting and choose your vehicle this will fix that
How’s the audio quality with this stereo?
I would say it's the same, maybe a little better
Awesome! I got a similar one off of eBay, ended up returning it because the volume was pretty low, I would have to turn it all the way up to 35-40 to get decent sound. How’s the volume output with this one?
@@Vlad_G35 oh thats brutal... I believe it is okay, I think when I'm by myself I have it around 20. Have to lower it when having a conversation. Only weird thing is if anything makes a notification noise or put the car into reverse. It makes the volume go lower, almost like the rear speakers are the only ones working. After rebooting it's fine. Also I noticed with with android auto, not car play.
Great video, would you recommend this product? I’m about to buy the same for my 2013 civic, also is the Apple CarPlay Bluetooth?
Yes, I think it is worth getting. Both the apple carplay and android auto are Bluetooth.
The same one is on Amazon for $169 and you get it a lot faster
@@marinamurillo3476 what’s the name ?
did you record any panic video with simple ~ her
I'm not too sure what this is supposed to mean.
My imid is out and no audio but the head unit works any fixes?
Check fuses and connections. Otherwise contact the seller
have u hooked up the fan at all that’s on the back of it
Pretty sure it was already wired up when I got it.
Can u drop the link of the radio
There should be a link already in the description.
Everything works in mine except that I can’t hear anything. Any suggestions?
I would first start with the connections, after that double check the fuses. My issue originally was a fuse.
I have dreams of doing this and nightmares regarding my wife's comments when things go wrong working on her car.
I was in the same boat as you! My girlfriend was on the fence about it, but i 100% wanted it. Then it had some issues so i heard it lol. But i have another video posted sharing a couple of issues ive fixed.
That's so weird. I have the same model and year. I have a reverse camera no blind spot camera. But no heated seats either. Any who I wanted to upgrade the head unit so thanks for the vid.
Yes very odd, eventually I have an update video trying to fix the issues. But no problem.
Are the buttons compatible with the radio ?
Volume controls work, phone doss not. It's shown in the video towards the end.
Excelente video, thanks ❤
No problem!
Does the normal reverse camera not work anymore after installation?
This specific care never had a reverse camera. I don't believe the stock one would be affected but honestly I'm not sure.
@@zach_lush okay thanks. I’m about to order it, just one last question sorry lol. Did you ever get the right turn signal to stop popping up the camera? Mine isn’t equipped with that feature
@@JOEY11.06 nope, still happening. I've messaged the seller asking how to turn it off but haven't heard back. Going to ask again.
@@JOEY11.06did you ever install the unit ?
On the AliExpress page for this radio is this the one that comes with 32gb 64gb or 128gb?
I went with 8 core 3G-32GB
@@zach_lush been looking for one for my lx thanks for uploading this video🙏🙏
@@gangweedswag266 not a problem, happy it helps
My car no longer wants to turn on and the new radio won’t turn on either
Check your fuses
@ you were right it was the fuse it blew I placed new one and works thanks
@salvadorzamora2134 no problem
only the 2014-15 civics have side camera for 9th gen
I believe the 2013 Civic Hybrid came with Lane Departure Warning (side cameras). A feature we never wanted, just need it to be disabled.
I just bought a 2014 Civic - no side camera.

Have this exact unit. Do you have any problems with the factory mini-screen coming on after a minute after turning the car off? Also, which CAN model did you choose?
I personally have not experienced that. So unfortunately I can't give any recommendations about the screen. I'm also not sure, just used what came in the kit. The link to the headunit is in the description, you can try contacting the seller and see?
@@zach_lush yeah, I emailed them a few mins ago. I also had problems with fitment in the same spot you used your dremel to fix. The unit is drawing power when the car is off, somehow, even though I turned the sleep setting to OFF. It's strange. Overall though, pretty sweet unit.
Yeah fitment wasn't perfect. Odd, I thought possibly mine was draining power aswell but I've been blaming my girl for not driving the car haha. Hopefully they can help you out! I'm still waiting to know how to turn the video input off when I signal.
Did you ever figure out the problem with the mini screen in the dash staying on after the car has been turned off ?
Did you figure out the factory mini screen issue?
how big is the screen?
9 inches
The only thing good is your girl friend is very calm 😂 lucky you
Shes very patient! Lol
will this fit on a 2015
Not sure, I'd recommend contacting the seller.
Awesome!
Very!
Go to factory settings and close 360
Thank you, I will try and see if it works!
