I have become an idiot in my old age and I purchased a Xgody system almost like this one for my Honda CR-V 2014 that came with no instructions. I couldn't figure out where the connectors went but your video made it click in my little brain. I searched through many, many videos and finally found yours. Can't thank you enough.

9:10 DO NOT CUT THIS RECTANGLE, IT'S FOR THE BRACKET. now my fitment is shit! You can fix it with putty. I bought quake hold and loctite might work too but it's not a permanent solution.
Will this work with a 2014 Honda Civic EX with the OEM 7 inch touchscreen display? Does it retain the factory backup camera and lane watch right turn camera? Thanks!
what if its installed on a 2013 Si which has already bluetooth mic? do you still have to use the one that comes with your radio?

Yeah can see the difference in person, on camera not so bad, also for the vents, its just held on by one screw
(factory dash has three screw holes) so thats gonna be an eye sore as well.

1) Will the original rearview camera work and be displayed on the new unit?
2) Will the phone controls on the steering will work (answer/hang up)?
3) Will the riginal USB socket under armrest work?

When you first installed it, how did you get the steering wheel controls set up?
I just installed a T'eyes kit and I'm trying to get the steering wheel controls working. I wasn't sure if the Civic has a CANBUS or if I'll have to manually set it up.

This looks great, my 2015 Civic Hybrid has a key-less ignition (which i don't like by the way). This video shows a key hole on the steering column, does this unit work with key-less ignition ok?
That is an OEM 2013 head unit. I think he was incorrect on the year because I have a 2015 Si and 2014/2015 had the same screen head unit so you could use the side camera.
I had a 2014 Civic LX & I used my stock USB port instead of adding one in the glove box. Only issue I had is the Honda stock rear camera picture will not go on the small display next to the speedometer anymore just the stereo tuner will display there. I also added a HD Radio & SiriusXM Satellite Radio tuner. I did not install a GPS as I use one off phone with Google maps or Waze.
What equipment/software did you buy?

So how does the backup camera work when it already appears in the i-mid screen? Is something rewired so the feed goes to the head unit instead?

Yes and then he plugs it back in this spot at 15:30 but we didn't see it being unplugged.

where did you pull the yellow cable from? the one for the back up camera. It shows you plugging it in to the unit but it doesn't show where you pulled it from. I cannot find it on mine. Thanks, If anyone has the answer.

After installing this radio and connecting the swc to the canbus box i notice a parasitic drain on my battery when it sits for a few days also the digital clock on the dash stays on even when the key is in the off position,this doesn't stay on with the original radio did you notice this when you installed this radio in your civic?

@@xXNino21Xx I noticed that the canbus box was the issue so I had to remove it and sacrifice the swc and it works perfectly fine now.

Great video! I just got a problem when I install this car play. It seems like I short circuited the connection. For now even the radio, infotainment screen, key fob doesn’t work. Do you know how can I fix it?

chris fresherthenu I believe he used the back up camera that came with the car because the little screen didn't show anything when he put the car in reverse.

@@Oscar93646 His civic is a Canadian model, lx civic in canada doesnt come with factory rear camera, instead it comes with heated seats. Hes using an after market rearview camera.

GTA Car Kits how about not muting the volume when using the lane watch and backup camera? My current stereo muted the volume and it’s annoying

So if the 2013 already has a microphone from the default Bluetooth phone system, why do you have to install a new microphone? Can't you just connect the factory microphone into the unit?
Hi, factory microphones are only made to work with factory stereos. You will not be able to use it with our radio, or any other radio which is not original. Thank you.

My back up camera cable isn’t located where the head unit is, where can I find it? As of right now when reversing, only shows on imid display and the head unit is black
His civic doesn't come with oem rear camera, because its a Canadian version, instead it comes with heated seats. He's using an aftermarket rear camera.
