- Hi again and welcome to the channel. Today is another 'mixed bag' of goodies. Firstly, we swap out the noisy AC compressor on my Isuzu truck, add oil and re-gas the system, and also do a small modification to the wiring to eliminate 'clutch drag' on the compressor.
Then myself and Wayne from work, go out and pick up a bunch of concrete pipes for an upcoming repair on a creek crossing on the property that I wok on.
Next is getting a couple of old diesel powered water pumps checked over and seeing if we can get them up and running again.
Finally, we have a quick look at the 2nd hand hydraulic pump that I purchased and asses it condition and 'usability'.
Always a pleasure to follow along Pete . The old Perkins and Kubota were just waiting to go . Not good on the Hydraulic pump mate ! Looks like a goner ! 🌵
Thanks Scott, I did manage to get in touch with the guy and he had no interest in helping me. I'd love to be angry with the guy, but sadly, it's my own fault for not checking it out when I first got it (about 7 months ago!!!).
The new tyres make the machine Pete, one of the constant battles with old machinery (tyres)
Thanks Bruce.
Pete, seeing you at work made me think of a video I had. The farmer I work for also does farm drainage. The video is of pulling the 85,000 pound tile plow through a soft spot. It was mid winter at 3:00 in the afternoon and gets fully dark by 5:00. The temperature plummeted to 15 degrees Fahrenheit below zero that night. Would not have been a good time to get stuck. After we got through we spent 2 hours cleaning mud from tracks in the freezing dark. What fun. I sent the video to on WhatsApp.
Thanks Geoffrey, yes I did get that video. It doesn't look fun! Ha ha! But at least you weren't stuck there overnight. Sorry I missed your call, I'll give you a ring this weekend.
Hey Pete ,A great video as always, should be able to keep the beer cold in the Suzi now ,good on you
Thanks Frank. I thought the diode would have burnt out by now, but it seems to be still working. I have a new / bigger one on the way.
cool
Thank you!
I agree 100 percent about the air filters.
Thanks Geoffrey! :-)
