Hard to imagine the driver of that £140,000+ tractor being its owner.
LOL
*WAS*
Just a simple field worker.
no matter what of my own cars I drive: old beat up toyota tacoma or Audi A8 4.2 V8, if the situation is fun, like a nice drift or going quattro through the dirt, I loos all regard for the well being of my cars. Here, if I was a simple field worker I would call my boss for permission. I am certain, that the driver is the owner. Only the owner drives with that much confidence.
What were the books the tractor dragged out
And there will still be someone who will have a go driving though it!
There is nothing speed and power cannot overcome! Haha
Guaranteed there is a BMW or Audi floating in it come the next morning.😁
@@mattbrill7909 except for maybe the concrete barriers hidden below the water.
@@R56TurboCharged Already has been.
No doubt, after all look at who they have in gpvermment
Absolutely amazing that tractor was able to do that, IMO. So much water, too.
I work at the place where they forge the crankshafts in Lincoln which is only about 30 miles away.
surely the tractor drivers/farmworkers don't need to go through that? Would a farmer want his equipment abused like that? That's a John Deere 6R 250. What are they? £100k? More? Just mental the abuse... even if you don't flood the engine or ride compartment you are fecking up wheel bearings and tyres..
That's tractor as much impressive that just have been maxed out for ability that was nearly under the water the engine there, are they sealed?
I think the tractor clip was taken either a different day or after the start of the video...based on where the concrete blocks are
@@chaosflower4892 insurance company would be happy to see this video when processing indemnisation...
Obviously it's not his tractor or his tyres if he treats it like that...🥺🥺
those tyres gonna last a lifetime, atleast my grandfathers still do.
@@dainiukas13He was lucky he didn't puncture any tyre...
lucky he didn't rip the trailer tyre
Front and rear tractor tyres too. Wonder if his boss saw this.
@@haddockface
His boss probably told him to ram through them.
A tractor can easily go through that, it's the brain dead numptys who think their cars make it through that are the problem.
Any idea what tractor tyres cost? Cheaper to go the long way round.@@4faxache935
That probably was the boss. I don't think an employee would risk damaging that much equipment. That's a lot of money at risk
was the boss or his son ........definatly not an employee
You know it's serious business when an entire RUclips channel about a seemingly small subject has a staple diet of nothing but videos of people driving through a ford.
It's the content I never realised I was missing until today. It's mesmerising to watch!
Here here 💯🦆🦆🦆
Funny Chanel it is . I binge in it . Same as with other called Post 10 about a guy that clean public drains . You would be surprised how entertaining it is. 😂
Wait long enough and I'm sure some BMW driver will try to cross it 😂
AAAAAAAAAhahahahahahhaahhaa
😂😂😂
Hope so.
😂🤣 Beat me to it
He single handedly moved the concrete blocks - jeebus!
Thats the alarm going off from the BMW that's in there due to electrical problems 😂🤣
That's really impressive pulling power under those circumstances.
Yes that was impressive performance by that tractor. Too bad driven by such a dunce.
How the tyres on the trailer didn’t tear is unbelievable! Reyt piece of kit that, torque off the scale! 👍🏼
Power of innertubes, all agri equiptment run on innertubes
@@mkent1213nothing to do with inner tubes. The tyre pressures were very low, you can see the tyres flex as they pass over the concrete barrier.
@@hayman5968 ah ok, my car had tubes and i got it off a farm, the previous owner used to fill them wjth water

Great tractor, not only he sustained that deep water, he jumper over these concrete blocks and pulled them!
Wow that is some serious flood. History is made again by Rufford ford. Well done Tom love it 👍😎
I work in a forge not far away in Lincoln that makes John Deere crankshafts. I might of machined that crank lol.
You'll likely be seeing it again soon if he keeps that up
Didn't know we made stuff for John Deere. Excellent :-) (I knew we made New Holland tractors, but John Deere are top notch!)
rufford feeds into the trent & because the trents at its highest all the floodgates have closed so all the water now has nowhere to go apart from flood the low lined floodplains which is whats happening here & also this vid the tractor driver was removing the obstruction too which isnt visible now due to the amount of water & they got fed up with a small ford getting blocked off for the sake of some drivers who should stick to walking because they thought their car could float during a flood
Yes but thats over 10miles away. Nearest point to Trent is Newark
This is from Angry Farmers blocking the flow of Rainworth water between Rufford and Ollerton.
Due to this Ford (acces point) being Blocked
In 40years I've never seen it this Depth 1.2m high😮😮
that is the cleanest that tractor has ever been underneath
That John Deere needs proper port/starboard lighting, lol!
And here I thought the age of the paddleboats was gone... XD
The John Deere paddle steamer looked awesome
As I watch your videos I am constantly reminded how critical it is for air filters to be placed high if one was going to go through water like that 😅😅😂😂
The importance is the position of the air intake, not the filter.
Makes no difference, there is still terrible damage that you will do..
Oh my god even the main viewing platform is submerged😂😂😂😂
Phew! that was a close call, although reckless I admire the tractor drivers skill manoeuvring through what must have felt like an assault course, and he didn’t appear to panic, some fifty years ago I panicked just driving through it when it was just a shallow stream, I know what it’s like being near to death, I was swept out to sea on Blackpool beach in calm weather conditions age fifteen I was caught in a rip-tide, a stranger noticed I was struggling to keep afloat and saved my life that day, the force of nature is unpredictable and should be respected, I’m now 83 and not a single day goes by that I don’t say a silent prayer 🙏 of thanks to that amazing brave young stranger bless his kind heart ♥️
Bystander: "How much torque is this tractor putting to the wheels?"
Farmer: "YES"
Farmer: "TURN OFF YER CAMERA AN AY TELL YER"
Bystander: "What was that for?"

Clarkson would be proud ! 😅
POWEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Tune in next week to see Clarkson in his tractor make this look even easier

Clarkson’s tractor would break down in the middle and Hammond would come by in a jet ski and spray him. All while James tells him he can’t park there.

**Council** "we put these concrete barriers in place to stop people from crossing the ford"
**Farmer** "i don't see any concrete barriers Tally-Ho!"
You know it's deep when the depth sign is completely submerged underwater and see the sign at 00:26
It’s completely above water….
That's not the depth sign, that's the sign warning you of the ford ahead. The depth sign is on the footbridge, which itself was completely submerged.
Need a Rufford ferry.
The tractor driver was absolutely clueless 😂
There’s absolutely no way someone will get through that.....
Tractor driver 'hold my drink'
Holy hell, it looks a little damp there😮
Famously near Harrogate, twixt there and Knaresborough, sits Starbeck - canoeists were able to paddle up and down what was the main street, when it rained hard enough. This, might not be that safe a thing to do though, you never know what strange underwater situation there might be. And seldom during a flood, is anything perfectly still like a mill-pond. Take care all.
I know someone who lives on the edge of a floodplain and occasionally ends up with kayaks, canoes, boats and occasionally scuba divers in their back garden!!!!!!
BS! Starbeck high street is a massive hill.... That leads onto an even bigger hill that drops a long way down to the river Nidd. Maybe thinking of Boroughbridge before the flood defences famously incorrect haha
That was gold mate .. keep up the amazing video..!!! RIght time, right place
Is that today or was that before they reclosed it again
It looks deep but I'm coming through ,😮

Someone moved the bollards again. Is this a repeat again of John Deere tattie farmer too ?

I think the neighbours need to rethink their plans as the local farmer is pissed. With the flooding near the properties need flood guards near to the ford to provide protection from a massive flood.
This is the outlet to Rufford Lake. That would suggest the lake is already at capacity and they have no other choice.
Hi Tom 👋 yeah mate cool video. I liked the bit with the spillway from the mill pond. Never been there but seen it here on the tube of the you and thought that must look cool with a good flow of water!!
wow! its been rainy across the pond too
He was lucky in a few ways. Front box was about an inch off hitting, step was about an inch away from hitting and looked like he was about an inch away from putting a hole in every tire down the near side of the rig. Saying that, fortune favours the brave, so they say, so good luck to him, that's what I reckon!
the Rufford Ford proves that fortune does not favour the brave.
Wow. That’s pretty deep. Haven’t seen a video for a while Tom mask we saw they close that road but is it open again I guess well obviously not at that moment of your video but holy smokes. That’s a lot of water. Thanks again for your efforts. We enjoy watching you from the USA. And there is always a reason you don’t go through a puddle Road those are some big concrete blocks.
This is why I love Sunderland ✨
Oh dear, is it still rising! Wow!! 2:03 oh god, I though5 that tractor was going to tip forward. What happened to the concrete blocks?
2:54 I guess that’s what happened to them. 😂😂😂
Lovely video.
Great vid the only thing missing is a few clowns in beamers 😂😂
Thanks Tom.
STAGGERING display of POWER from that tractor...
I know we have had extensive rain but has the council even thought of doing some dredging and drain cleaning to reduce some of this water
The most rain in the Uk ever recorded in a single day might do it!
There are no blocked drains here. It's a ford. The river flows across the road. The quantity of water flowing through the river is many times more than usual. There is nowhere else for it to go.
Dredging made the problem worse of yahoos speeding through the Ford to the point where they closed in down on December 2nd 2022
Or build a bridge?!?!
@@lovequeen7080 there are alternative roads with bridges nearby. People only drive this way if they specifically want to. The ford is a historical landmark that has existed for around 1000 years. They are just not supposed to be driving on this road. officially it is closed.
I hope that tractor drivers boss sees this....stupid is an understatement
cant see that being an employee ...........that was the owner or one of his sons .......!
Farmers going to get a big bill for that stunt!!!
Watching from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
I think he busted those rims of the trailer on thr concrete blocks
no
Judging by the elevation that grand old house was designed with, this may not be the deepest its ever been in history; but you may have to go back a century or two.
FYI for everyone that has said incoming BMW driver etc. A BMW driver has already attempted it
big John been back 😂
When was this filmed Tom?
Friday 20th
Guessing tractor driver knew the blocks were there and was fed up of the long diversion, so he decided to do this when the blocks were invisible/underwater so he can claim he didn't know they were there 😂 Clever tbh! Good on ya.
reversing that is a pain
Yep, it's well worth trying to wreck over 150k of machinery to save yourself doing a half mile detour.
@@bobp6742 it was a bold move for sure, didn't seem like there was any obvious damage on this occasion luckily for him! Those barriers once on their side aren't so high anyway for the John Deere, bit different with a trailer though!
Tom Sunderland started the 🌊 of these videos. The 🐐
Concrete Blocks: "What did we ever do to you man?!"
Hold my beer
Damn I have really tought he gonna pop the tire. He got lucky the thing wasnt sharp.
Camera guy is also lucky...
Half expected to see a U-BMW bobbing up and down in the middle
There it is rainy season, and currently at the equator it is very hot season
OMG. That is deep!! But what is that farmer doing?!! There’s some power in that tractor, it has to be said. Wow
Last time I saw that much water there was 60 migrants in a dinghy trying to cross it.. 😂😂😂
Tom's video is insane
Now, I recollect memories from my days as a child back in 1904. My dad would do that, with me beside him. Even today, I remind dad of the old days and he just smiles. Brilliant memories.
I think you may have your date wrong. Lol
how deep is that, like 3 and a half feet at the deepest? good lord
The depth marker goes to 3ft.
At a guess 4.5ft? 3ft board is below the bridge and its over the bridge so that must be at least another 18inches?
John Deere Power 💪🏻
First Class Entertainment. Love it. ❤
It’s probably even better than that!!,111 🏴🏴🏴🇬🇧
Over the footbridge..thats seriously deep 😮😮
Clearly a bottle neck or blockage downstream somewhere
Love your channel, Always good footage with live sound, No nonesence captions poppng up & silly music like the others, keep up the good work , subscribed . , Hope that biulding didnt flood 🙂
Yep - I can’t watch the other channel - too many bings and bongs!
Jeez, that's serious !!!
Fair play lad, nicework.
I came across this channel about a week ago and I’m still confused as to why the town doesn’t just build a bridge so they don’t have to deal with the flooding every year.
Expense and turning it into a rat run ....
A bridge would make it impossible for the 2 buildings on each side of the road to be able to use it.
Say it yet again - it's a minor rural road! It accesses a few properties and one side of the ford is Rufford Mill, part of Rufford Country Park.. The road is officially CLOSED except for access to properties. There are main road alternatives!
no fun or challenge then! Only one infamous Rufford Ford!
That farmer's an absolute prat
I think you wish you could drive a tractor like that.
The torque is impressive!
At the start of the video I wondered about the weird location of the concrete, did not anticipate that the video would show how they got there and really didn't expect to see a vehicle going across the ford! Wow!
Its difficult to believe anyone would spend so much on a tractor then use it in this way
Why ?
I took one of my dad's 8R 410's through something similar, not an issue.
We have been using our 9RX 640 to drag plant and equipment out of fields for ourselves and other contractors these past few weeks.
It's been 3 feet deep in mud some days.
It's what they are designed for.
Any of the homes flooded?
Were those buildings flooded, in the parking lot area?

@@tomthompson7400I'll bet the driver does not own that tractor, otherwise he'd have gone around.
It is called solving a problem when you have the capability to sort that problem out safely , which in this instance it was safe to do with the correct equipment. Just think if there were not people around that will take that responsibility we would all be sitting around in wooden shacks still .
@@Welgeldiguniekaliasit's not that hard for them to calculate how much money they're losing going around and sitting in traffic/causing traffic. A few minutes each direction might add up to hours in a day. At a point it becomes worth the risk.
@@markabrahams2191It's the dumbest solution. That tractor costs over 100k, going around costs 10 minutes. Risking severe damage to a machine upon which your livelihood depends in order to save a few minutes is the opposite of acting responsibly.

Nothing runs like a Deere
It's not closed because of public safety concerns as they don't give a flying F about your safety, it's closed because the local authority wants no come back from any potential accidents and they'd rather do something very stupid than do nothing.
