    A crumble is an American Classic! I live in Italy now and never see anyone make something like this! This reminds me of home and I think I have to make it now, because although you made this video last year, it is certainly peach and nectarine season now!

    • @EntertainingWithBeth
      @EntertainingWithBeth  8 лет назад

      Oh yes it is! It's such a classic for me too, growing on up the east coast in New England it was a summertime staple :) Even now that I'm in California I don't see them served often so it's a way I connect with "home" too :) Italy sounds fabulous :)

    Woke up this morning to this video and I had to make it for breakfast. I didn't have enough of everything so I improvised. Turbinado sugar and coconut flakes in the crumble worked great. Yum ;-)

    I am seriously jealous of your kids!! haha I wish my mom would cook all of this and teach me but she doesn't cook for me or the family so I've just been learning from you :) and you have been an absolute life saver, I don't know what I would have done without you. I would probably be making awful food because I didn't know how to cook. Since my mom never taught me how to cook, or made food, I've been planning to try and be the best mom ever when I have kids by doing things my mom wouldn't and you've been helping me with that. Thank you

      Alicia Tiffany Aw that is the sweetest comment ever. It seriously just made my day Alicia. You have no idea :) These YT Channels take a lot of work, and sometimes I wonder if it's really worth it? Especially since it's not my full time job, but my full time hobby :) But what keeps me going are comments like yours. Because my one true desire with this channel is to change people's lives through food. To share recipes that mean something to me and my family in the hopes that one day they will mean something to you and yours. Food has the power to make memories and rituals that can bind families together for generations. It can be so powerful. I see a generation growing up without knowing how to cook and I feel called to change that ha! Because it's a skill that can bring so much joy. Your story is all too common, and while I may not be your Mom, I can be your "RUclips Mom" lol! Who is all to eager to welcome you into the kitchen and teach you every little thing I know about cooking and entertaining. You can share your new talents with those you love to help them grow up big and strong. And then teach them those skills yourself so they can one day do the same with their kids. You keep cooking, and learning and one day you'll see you'll be well on your way to being a fantastic cook! :) PS: The other thing you'll find about parenting is that is has a great healing quality to it. It allows you to change the things you wish you could about your own childhood, simply by doing things differently. It's really an amazing experience. So dream BIG :) xx Beth

      bitsoflovely that actually might be a bit too sweet for granola, but here's an awesome granola recipe I think you will enjoy! Tips for storing are included as well :) Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/7MffnHoOhAU/видео.html

    Hi Beth! I love your channel and have been watching it for a while, but never made the time to make one of ur awesome recipes! I have a potluck for this weekend's sabbath at church and I wanted to make a dessert (something summery and fresh) but also something I can easily prepare before hand because lunch is after service and i have to be at church at 10 am (lunch is a few hours later). do u think i can make something like this? I have work until 7pm until the day before church. u probably won't read this... ahhhamsdfaka; kf;sl;ifasefk u said i should warm it up right before serving... idk

    how can i make this ahead of time and serve quickly when it's warm? i wish i can make it ahead of time then when potluck comes, i can quickly warm it up then serve it to everyone... but the crumble will get soggy, right? i can't make it in the time before serving that day :/

    • @EntertainingWithBeth
      @EntertainingWithBeth  9 лет назад

      bubbles02010 Oh sure you could totally make it the day before! The crumble will crisp back up in the oven :) Just reheat covered for about 15 mins at 300F then remove the foil and allow topping to crisp for another 5-7 mins et voila :) Enjoy!!

    Omg, Beth. The craziest thing happened. I was making a recipe of one of your cupcakes and I asked my mom were the sugar was and she took a large tupperware container out with the sugar (I have no idea why she would keep sugar in a tupperware container, but she hates to cook, and barely does- it's mostly me) and it looked really course, but I thought that it might have been raw sugar or something. Anyway- long story short- I put TWO CUPS of *SALT* in! It was SO DISGUSTING! Haha!

      Sarah Rainey OH NO! That must have been awful! LOL! I hope you'll try again with sugar? :)
