I was born and bred in Yorkshire, and I wish I had heard about this game sooner. It’s so nice to see an aggressively Northern English game, or just a British game in general.
PS. Because I live up north I pronounce it as scone (rhyming with cone).

I enjoyed the demo so much, i am really looking forward to the full game. It is a litrle sad that its so short, but tbh i think its the type of game that benefits from a shorter length for the sake of not over-staying its welcome.

I discovered this game through Jacksepticeye's playthrough (who remarked it as one of the funniest games he's ever played). It just appeared in my recommended a few days ago. It kind of reminds me of the game, Blazing Dragons featuring some of the Monty Python crew (and it reminds me of Monty Python humor in general).
I'm an American who's never left the country, but I'm at least somewhat familiar with British humor. I love watching Aardman productions, and a fair amount of Content Creators I watch are from the UK.
That being said, I'm sure a lot of the jokes went over my head.

As an American, I've become obsessed with the nuances of British dialect and culture, particularly "oop north" thanks to this game. It feels like for us, we tend to think of England exclusively as "London" (and also Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, if that). I think it's neat to learn about various aspects of the United Kingdom.

Just got the Platinum the other day (missed a few secret trophies on my initial playthrough) and have to say this is easily the most genuinely funny, delightful and rewarding little gems I’ve played in a long time. From the “live action” opening credits to the final trophy I was totally captivated by this little oddity and, of course, the fact that it was so unapologetically British. It reminded me a great deal of the old comics I bought as a kid like The Beano, The Dandy and Whizzer and Chips with a side helping of Viz not to mention Monty Python, Reeves and Mortimer and other such British surrealism.
Granted it doesn’t revolutionise gaming and is basically just an interactive comic book that’ll have you spamming the slap button and violently tracking everyone aand everything around you to see if anything happens or you can help someone in a no doubt weirdly convoluted and bizarre way …
… highlights for me would be Rog’s forehead flashback, the ongoing gag about the neighbours and their bins and the frequent innuendos regarding plumbing, gardening and pretty much anything. There are a few oddly dark moments such as the “hidden” F.A.S.T spoof and the Lady Di commemorative plate but even those didn’t come across as distasteful as they were so brief, so eloquently British and followed by talking animals, romantically doomed flowers and jokes about poo, wee and sex.
Overall it’s a gem I’d recommend to anyone who just wants a bloody good laugh, an undemanding few hours and an easy Platinum. So yeh, it is reyt gud!

Sorry to hear the month's not been great for you, man. Yet i'm glad TGYH (sounds like a "get hit" onomatopoeia from punching Hoodlums in Rayman 3) has been a comfortable bright spot. Wish you good luck and fun in future endeavors, not just with videos.
In a similar way, your review of the game has felt the most comfortable and enjoyable out of all TGYH reviews of seen. It's very nice.
On the note of God Hand... have you heard of Clash: Artifacts of Chaos? It's a Zeno Clash prequel from 2023 and its combat system may remind one of GH.
It's not as complex or outright hard, but well worth a look. Has awesome world, characters, atmosphere and levity alike.
    - Combat customization works by selecting two Martial Arts Stances to switch between and assigning three Special Attacks. All Stances have to be found from combat challenges of a user of said stance, and have completely unique animation movesets.
    - For many enemies there's a unique Finisher animation after entering a first-person mode. Can range from goomba stomping a bird man to leg sweeping a fat guy followed up by a double haymaker into their spine. The wildlife isn't safe either. (and neither are you safe from the wildlife).
    - A fun thing: there's a central group of regularly recurring enemies, the Mercenaries. Hardly anyone really dies in the game-- when you see the British, milky pale-blue horrible naked cat/bat lady with three lower arms teamed up with the prehistoric rhino man some hour or so after first encountering her with an arrogant pudgy bird fellow, that's the same character.
And at set points, you can overhear a Mercenary talking about why they do what they do or how they think. Gives some fun extra personality and humor.
    - Finally (for now) there's a mechanic called The Ritual, tied to the One Law of the land.
It works by challenging a sapient opponent to a game of dice. You place down a little mate divided in four quadrants, choose a titular Consequence Artifact, you take turns rolling the dice and placing dice value modifiers, and the winner gets to spend their artifact to enforce said consequence.
It can range from fog covering the arena, to having to drink a poison that periodically staggers you, to placing sticks as a fence and the first to get knocked out has to take a free hit with a club, or luring a prehistoric flying predator into the comabt area, to even making it so you can summon an opponent as an ally in a later fight.
    Can *very* warmly recommend it.
For now, thank you for this video, wish you well and have a good one.
