90 and 120 Hz are great but I don’t mind the 60 Hz on iPhones. They are smooth anyway. And after seeing the test result, i don’t mind at all. I prefer a longer lasting battery.
Noted for next time. But in a real world scenario this is how the phones would be set up. You can't always just turn off all new features and cater to lowest common denominator as that's not real world. People with a s20 will mostly use it at 120hz

@@saitama2508 Irrelevant. It's not a direct comparison unless the other devices match the iPhone display settings as closely as possible. If the OnePlus 8 Pro can beat the iPhone 11 Pro Max when it's at 1080p 60Hz, then it clearly has superior battery life. Just because it empowers users to up their display settings shouldn't penalise it and prevent it from winning the competition. Otherwise you incentivise manufacturers to provide the lowest possible display settings.
Damn oppo kind of surprised me. A relatively small battery with that huge 120hz qhd display and it still did surprisingly decently. That variable resolution probably helps battery life a lot
To be honest, you must keep everything at 60hz display, i mean its a cool feature that the other phone has the higher refrest but it kinda unfair because iPhone is at 60hz while the other phone is in their higher refresh rate

For everyone who bought flagship with higher refresh rate, there's no point decrease the refresh rate, that's such an exclusive feature... Well, I still understand why ppl want the test to set on same level refresh rate, for the sake of fairness, but that's really not realistic in my opinion. I think, the test should held in the best possible condition for each phone, I bought 120hz smartphone, so then turn it on seriously! Don't you think so. Sorry for anyone wasting any money on the S20U.
That's unfair .Go with 60 hz all of them and FHD+ and we will see who's the real winner
That's exactly my point is. you cannot compare 60Hz with THE 120 HZ.
yes, you can since the iPhone is a mobile from last year and this year the mhA have been increased to support more hz

I'm FREAKING SURPRISED with the Oppo! I was sooo skeptical with those 4260mah vs 4500 in the oneplus. I was SURE the battery life would be its Achilles' heel, and... I was completely wrong! Damn! Very close to the Oneplus 8 pro. I'm pretty impressed.
My third day with oppo find x2 pro. Easily getting 6-7 hours of screen on time even with heavy usage.
90 and 120 Hz are great but I don’t mind the 60 Hz on iPhones. They are smooth anyway. And after seeing the test result, i don’t mind at all. I prefer a longer lasting battery.
Can you do a test where all of the phones are at 60 hrz ?
exactly Iphone worked in 60Hz.
That's the right way to do a battery drain test.
He should have done so. This test is as dumb as most of other tests on youtube. Never rely on these people.
Noted for next time. But in a real world scenario this is how the phones would be set up. You can't always just turn off all new features and cater to lowest common denominator as that's not real world. People with a s20 will mostly use it at 120hz
You're not buying a 120hz phone and use it in 60hz. This actually tested the phone in real life situation.
The actual heck is Samsung doing?!?! They need to fix every flaw of the S20 with the Note 20.
They'll use different chipsets next year, so Note 20 which will be released this year will have same destiny like current Exynos phones.
I've left samsung because of the poor battery performance... Since the end of February I got an OnePlus 7T Pro and it's awesome! With Samsung i couldn't get more then 3 hours of screen on time. Now with my OnePlus 7T Pro I can get around 8 to 9 hours of screen on time. I'm happy that I made the switch. :D
Same here using 7T Pro dude, easily getting over 8 hours of screen on time consistently
I consider that bad because I get up to 13+ hours of sot with my Huawei phone.

I would be interested to see them all at 60Hz but I must say, I am impressed with the iPhone. Historically I've never been an iPhone fan and I still prefer Android, but I do admire, to an extent, Apple's strategy of sticking with a similar design for a few years and focusing all of their attention on the things that matter, like performance and battery.
Imagine a phone with an extra 1000 maH but because of the chip it lasts 3 hours less than a phone with a smaller battery 😂

If the OnePlus 8 Pro can beat the iPhone 11 Pro Max when it's at 1080p 60Hz, then it clearly has superior battery life. Just because it empowers users to up their display settings shouldn't penalise it and prevent it from winning the competition. Hello ? OnePlus: 120 Hz + QHD, AND smaller battery than Samsung. Quite fair.

Iphone : what is big battery?
Samsung: uhm
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ 60Hz?
To be honest, you must keep everything at 60hz display, i mean its a cool feature that the other phone has the higher refrest but it kinda unfair because iPhone is at 60hz while the other phone is in their higher refresh rate
for the sake of fairness? yes, kinda.
But for the realistic test? I think no. For everyone who bought flagship with higher refresh rate, there's no point decrease the refresh rate, that's such an exclusive feature... I already used to 120hz in my daily phone, and I would absolutely not decrease it for better battery life, do you understand this point of view?
Well, I still understand why ppl want the test to set on same level refresh rate, for the sake of fairness, but that's really not realistic in my opinion. I think, the test should held in the best possible condition for each phone, I bought 120hz smartphone, so then turn it on seriously! Don't you think so.
Or...just make two or more videos then lol, one video for the default screen out of the box, then the second test is using the same level 60Hz as ppl wish. Tho I care more for the first video, if you ask me

Well, obviously everyone likes this tests, including myself. It helps a lot deciding what phone to buy. However regardless if it´s default that some have 120hz display and Iphone 60Hz, the truth is that it makes a lot of difference and I don´t think is a fair comparison.
