I think he was a very dangerous man because he might have had a human side but he knew it was a way to gain pity after he'd done terrible things in quite a cruel and calculated way. That strikes me as a tool he learnt in the system from a young age after going through his own set of traumas: do something bad, own up to it and talk a bit about your past, then people will go easy on you and you'll get the kindness you craved. All the "oh I didn't remember raping her" was part of that act to make himself seem somehow not responsible. Mind you, I agree that it seems if he'd had a better life he wouldn't have gone on to do that.
Yes, Anthony D. Snow. He went on to go to trial for another rape of a teen after his release. His writing was not about remorse. It was about trying to control their emotions. Talk about a miscarriage of justice in the trial. I pray for peace and healing for all his victims.
The understanding police woman is easy meat for him to tell her any old thing to engage her sympathy….and social workers and probation officers have to report any crime they discover to the police…so that reluctance is just for effect…the BBC should not portray social workers in such a negative light…it doesn’t help.
There’s nothing on his cases but he was a witness to a murder in long larton prison and ended up giving evidence. Google :- Anthony Snow HMP long lartin

His letters to the victims where all scripted by his lawyers to show remorse for parole. What he did was rape & attempted murder & he shud rot in jail ! He gets out in 10 & it's ladies beware ! He admitted to sniffing glue & as many perpetrators fall onto is the whole blackout thing so they can't be held liable for crimes committed in dat state which to me is total b.s !
It's an absolute disgrace how people are allowed to bring in previous offenders just because they have a record. It's a joke. So much to a culture of rehabilitation and allowing people to move on. This should be outlawed and police sued by the victims of unjustified arrests.
So if there are cases of sexual offence being committed in your neighbourhood you would find it outrageous they questioned the known sex offenders in your neighbourhood?

Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
As a social worker you have an obligation to turn someone in if they have committed a crime. They are mandated reporters.
And as a social worker you should know that it’s not always that easy. There’s 1000 reasons people can’t or won’t go to the police.

It can't have been easy for the partner either to have to listen to that all. He may have felt partly violated himself.

The amount of violence women have to face just living is unacceptable

Rape victims are automatically given anonymity, so it is hard to chase up the cases to find if there was a result.
It's rare you can't find info, in this case he could have changed his name. but most weird is, the court case don't show either.
@@dearnapst Nick sometimes used to say identities have been changed to protect victims, so you can't chase it up without a name.

An incredibly poorly formed opinion. Women walking to their car isn't the problem. Men attacking women is the problem.
What a lovely "Christian" opinion!
There are loads of people buzzing about Stevenage at that time. Where she was, was just near the town centre. Everyone uses these underpasses!
