I agree, I also have a R/T and all I have done so far is straight pipe the exhaust and as far as sound iv shut down many scats pulling up trying to rev with me. Also I don't see any reason to pay extra for a scat when I got a banging deal on my R/T 6 speed manual and if I drop 10,000 on mods then I'll easily be pushing over 500 at wheels and like you said the 5.7 accepts boost and mods better. In my opinion save the money and get the R/T, put some money in the motor, de badge it and turn it into a sleeper.

facts, i had a 14 rt wit the scat diff, i had errbody asking me "thats a 392, twin?" "thats a srt, my boy?" na this a baby rt bruh "that bit sound meeaaaan" 😂😂😂💯
as a non car person I bought a scat challenger 2023 for 42k ..... I cant be botherd with taking time tinkering a lower powerd engine just to match or slighly surpass somthing thats already made well in factory. personal opinion

This is good reason to choose the scat but for me it's all about repair costs I can replace a 5.7 for like 2k and 6.4 gonna cost you 6-8k if not more to replace
Love my Scat, but RT’s are fire. Like you said, if you like tinkering, you gotta go with the 5.7. That motor takes mods easy, cams, superchargers, turbo. 6.4, can’t do much more with it.
My biggest problem is GRIP. The 275’s just ain’t enough. You kinda learn how to lean in the throttle for take offs, but it does take practice ( which is why so many vids of dudes wrecking their Scats ). 😆
Insurance is not that different. The Scat still considered RT on the VIN, and honestly they don’t vary much in value.
I also have an SXT AWD for my daily driver. It’ll beat the Scat in the rain. 🌧️ 🔥

An SXT is the top of the line V6, everything up got the same interior minus the seats bc they’re different

I have a modded rt, my fuel economy is the same as a hellcat, the hellcat is fast dont get me wrong I drove it but if we are rolling and going highway speeds the rt can keep up if you have simple mods. I will say though if you are gonna keep it stock then get a scat, you wont really need a hellcat its not worth it honestly unless you just want to spend your whole paycheck on your car then go ahead you do you, rts can do everything, the burnouts, sliding, it has a lot of power to kick that back end out but not when you are going faster like a hellcat with, its more manageable power.

U can make an rt a wide body too, a lot of kits are pretty simple to put on and it looks clean

At Xtreme Raceway every Friday night where you live at you do know the cold plugs is for nitrous. 150 shot 11.70 in the quarter I see you got a vet too I like to try that against my fox body. 347 stroker 75 mm Turbo 400 transmission.

@@RTJayVlogs I can tell you don't race at the track. The fox by the road runs low tens and I can get the power to the ground. Cuz you got a thousand horsepower don't make it fast remember that. What's the 60 ft . If it's not in the ones you get obliterated by the fox. Weight to ratio lighter than your fox 2800 lb with me in it. Xtreme Raceway bring your car. I don't street race did that when I was a kid it's too dangerous. Just for the record has Dart heads an Dart Block. Pretty sure you know what that is we've been building Motors like I do.

I can agree with this video doing a muffler delete on the RT makes it sound better imo

As odd as it is, it's true. I had an R/T, did a mid muffler and resonator delete on it. Traded it for a Scat and did the exact same thing. For some reason the R/T seemed to sound just a little bit better. The Scat is more raspy and higher pitched. Don't get me wrong, they both sound amazing. I'd give the Scat a 9.5 and the R/T a 10 in sound. Other than that, the Scatpack is way better.

@@RTJayVlogs For mods, I agree 100%. If I was gonna build the car, I might start out with an R/T because of the cheaper initial cost and that it's going to take mods much better and go further in the long run. I plan to keep my Scat stock-ish though. The Hellcat would be better, but it's kind of an overkill and my account is not set up for a Hellcat right now lol

You did alright but one thing you said is the hp to the wheels or something, RT comes with 372hp in the auto and 375hp in the manual, but both dyno around 330-340 to the wheels give or take. That’s all I got

Refinancing definitely gonna drop that monthly car note by a huge chunk try to refinance with Navy federal but yeah they be taxing for scatpack insurance like if it’s a hellcat

@@RTJayVlogs I agree, I’m waiting for the right time to buy a manual hellcat so i can daily that, I’ve driven some automatic challengers and i just liked the fact that i can drive 3 hours on the freeway without getting sick of driving. Scatpacks also have a nice feel when going through the gears effortlessly but it was just less power and more money when i was checking those cars out at the time.

From someone who started in an R/T then went to a Scat, there's no comparison. Scatpack is better in every single way possible, and it's by a lot.
